Another wonderful stay at cottage

We had another wonderful stay at cottage, peaceful, beautiful. Am bit concerned about old ginger and white cat that keeps coming in starving, presumably has an owner as he was there last year.

It was lovely to welcome you to Mole Cottage again, and I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay. Biscuit the cat belongs to the French couple around the corner. Kind-hearted Mole Cottage guests have fed him in the past, and Mole now appears to have become his spiritual home! IHH now have the owner's contact number if you have the same concerns in the future. Excellent property

We have been coming to the island for a minimum of 15 years . It’s the best accommodation we ve stayed in up to date . Shout out to the cleaner it was done to a very high standard. It was lovely not to have to come in and go over anything . Quality of furniture and accessories also very good. Beds extremely comfy too . (Felt like home from home ) Overall an excellent property to stay in. 100% recommend this holiday home . Added bonus was the evening visits of the badgers .

Perfect cottage

Just returned from another stay at Mole Cottage. And from the guest book we are not the only multi-returners! Excellent location and so peaceful - with badgers visiting every evening. Really lovely - already booked next year. Thank you to Emma for another super stay.

Ben's fortieth

A really beautiful place to go to. Daughter and her husband went the whole week to celebrate his fortieth. They live in London,so was able to watch the ships and enjoy the wildlife. We joined them on the tuesday following our neurodiverent grand daughter over on her school trip. Naturally after getting to the cottage we would have liked more, however anxiety put the little first, every time. Emma the owner has made the place very homely, no shortage of anything.

Another perfect break

This was our fourth stay at Mole Cottage. There’s probably no need to read further given that… We find the cottage to be a comfortable home from home, with added badgers, foxes and red squirrels. It’s far enough from the rest of the world to be tranquil, but close enough to not feel isolated. There is no doubt that we will stay again

A fantastic holiday home

We all had a wonderful holiday at this fantastic cottage. Great location, well equiped cottage. Wonderful views of the sea and surrouding countryside from the beautiful garden and wildlife, one night we had 4 badgers visit.

Mole Cottage was beautiful. All the family loved it.Highlights were the sea view,the badgers the wonderful comfy bedrooms and the stunning stunning garden. Return right.Everything we needed for an excellent stay was thoughtfully provided. Only slight issue was that on the picture it looked as if we could park on the drive but it wasn’t big enough.However parking outside was not a problem as it a very quiet road and it wouldn’t deter me from giving this accommodation five stars all round.We hope to return.Thank you Emma.

A lovely Spacious Property in a Quiet Location

A lovely spacious property which is modernised and has all the necessary facilities. We stayed in March and fed the badgers and fox which came to the patio. In a quiet location with views to the sea. Would definitely stay again if in the area.

Lovely days at Mole Cottage

Mole cottage was great, lovely views, comfy rooms, well equipped kitchen and plenty of room to move around in. We were fascinated with the badgers each evening, and enjoyed a few afternoons sitting in the garden overlooking the sea. Had a really lovely, relaxing time there and would happily visit again.

An idyllic holiday cottage.

Mole Cottage is a well maintained country cottage providing all facilities with wonderful views and a peaceful location. The evening visit by the badgers is an added bonus and the garden provides plenty of space for children to play safely.

Excellent Stay

Lovely cottage and bags of room. Badgers are a great experience, too. Bathrooms have great shower pressure and kitchen has every gadget and serving dish you would need. Warm and cosy cottage and very quiet. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Parking for two large cars, too.

wonderful cottage and surroundings. couldn't fault it

A beautiful cottage in a wonderful location, stunning views and we chose a heatwave week to go, who could ask for more.The badgers were a source of entertainment every evening, sometimes three of them, they love peanuts apples and plums. We had a wonderful time and will definately come to mole cottage again

Fantastic property !

Couldn’t fault this property !! We have stayed in many holiday cottages and this was by far the best , even great garden furniture in the garage !! Comfortable , clean and everything you could possibly need . This was definitely a home not just a holiday let . Badgers and fox visited every night !! Omg what a treat that was !

Emma here, the fortunate owner of Mole Cottage. Thank you so, so much for your most lovely review. I think Mole is a very special place, and the badger visits make it something quite magical from me. I spend hours feeding them each time I’m there. I never get tired of it. I try hard to make Mole Cottage a perfect, comfortable home from home for guests and I always hope that they will find the same magic there that I do. Wonderful cottage

The cottage was very clean and comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed. Large garden which was well maintained. The kids loved it. We were left a bag of nuts to feed a badger which comes every evening at dusk without fail ! This was a nice bonus for the kids . Would stay again

Magical

We loved the cottage. It suited all our party.. 5 of us, 3 generations and my husband is disabled. The bedroom/bathroom arrangements suited us. Every night we were visited by the badgers. We picked some of the blackberries in the garden. We loved the views. We enjoyed the food at The Village Inn (the seafood platter really good value); Blueberries cafe for breakfast. Really enjoyed a fish finger sandwich at off the rails in Yarmouth (enough for 2 people) Lunch at Bay watch at the Duver was also good. We hope to stay again one day.

Peaceful getaway

A lovely old cottage peaceful and quiet with lovely views…The side garden is especially secluded and quiet, On the negative side parking is not great, The cleaners don’t clean under the furniture or bathroom cabinets as I found out when I dropped something which rolled under Ugh !. But on the whole a lovely place to unwind and enjoy the badgers.

Thanks for your feedback and I've asked my lovely cleaner to pay particular attention to these areas. Sorry you struggled with the parking. I was there this month, and we fitted two normal sized cars in front of Mole Cottage with no problem. Hope to welcome you back again.

A delightful Cottage

Mole Cottage is like home from home. It has everything you could possibly need. The Cottage has amazing views and is private and quiet. Shanklin is the next village to Luccombe so amenities are close by. Having the badgers visit each evening is a real bonus too. The coastal walk is close so if you like walking then Mole Cottage is ideality situated. We had the need to call the maintenance team who dealt with our issue extremely promptly. We would certainly recommend this cottage.

I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay at Mole Cottage. It is ideally placed for coastal walks from the front door in either direction. I'm with you on the ferry prices, although Island Holiday Homes are great at getting discounts for guests. Hope to welcome you again.

Our stay at Mole cottage

Mole cottage is in a beautiful & peaceful location. The accommodation is very clean, spacious & comfortable with spectacular views to the sea. There are plenty of indoor entertainment activities available - books, games, puzzles etc if the weather is inclement. (However we didn’t need these) All of the facilities were clean & tidy & kitchen equipment easy to use. The added attraction was the evening visits in the back garden by a family of badgers who feasted on peanuts which we put out for them. On one occasion we saw a fox!
