Beautiful Southern Style retreat with golf course views & close walk to beach

HILTON HEAD ISLAND. This beautiful Southern Style retreat is located on the Robert Trent Jones golf course and offers plenty of room and comfort for guests.

There are 12 steps to the front door where you will find a large wrap around porch. Inside you will find a seating area with two loveseats, decorative fireplace, a reading nook and a slider to the back deck. A convenient half bathroom is located to the right of the front door.

The first bedroom to the left of the entry has a queen bed, TV and private bathroom. The master bedroom has a king bed, two chairs with ottoman, flat screen TV, door to the back deck and a private bathroom with a jetted tub and separate shower.

To the right of the entry is a dining room that has a large wooden table and seats 10. Off of the dining room is a large kitchen that overlooks the family room. It has additional seating for six plus a table and four barstools at the bar. The family room overlooks the golf course and has two sofas, two chairs, large flat screen TV, player and a door to the deck.

The large back deck has a table for six and a gas grill. There are six steps down to the pool* area with lounge chairs and additional seating to relax. **Pool is not heated November 15th - March 1st.**

14 steps take you to the 2nd level of the house. The third bedroom has a queen bed, TV and shares a bathroom with the fourth bedroom, which has a king bed and TV.

Down the hall are the fifth and sixth bedrooms that also share a bathroom. The fifth bedroom has a queen bed with a TV and the sixth bedroom has 2 double beds with a TV (no cable).

Conveniently located on the golf course and close to the beach and leisure paths, 25 Rum Row is a great choice for your next trip.

*Free shuttle service through Palmetto Dunes Buggy available April through September.

**Pool and spa heat available for additional fee. Pool and spa heat requests must be made at least 2 weeks prior to arrival date to ensure the best service. Please note it can take up to 24 hours for the pool to heat. *Dog considered for extra fee*

The house is wonderful, and very spacious. The location is great and an easy walk or bike ride to the beach. The kitchen is well stocked. The pool is large and well situated for privacy. The only issue was with the Wi-Fi/internet where it would stall out occasionally on the TV, and would drop off from computers and phones.

We absolutely loved the property but have a few suggestions. The tile around pool and hot tub is extremely slippery. The wall around hot tub is really rough and our grandkids cut there feet up if they ran into it. The trash area was disgusting. There was trash in the front bushes!

loved the house, but disappointed that we had to call about shower in master BR not working. Also, the thermostat was a nuisance to keep regulated. Also, hate to complain, but the pool was too cool to use, and no hot tub controls available. wanted to use it but couldn't. everything else was great.

This house was so beautiful and perfect for our stay with 18 people (6 of which were small children who slept in the rooms with their parents). We loved the location in Hilton Head, though we did wish it was closer to the beach. The only other complaint that I have is that it was an additional charge to heat the hot tub. I am not sure if this was listed anywhere, but the way the listing read, we did think the pool was heated (included) and we just assumed the hot tub would be hot. So prepare for $25 a day to heat the hot tub and $100 for the pool. Otherwise, this was perfect!! And I would highly recommend this beautiful home to anyone looking to stay in Hilton head with a large family/group.

Overall our vacation was quite pleasurable. However, we had a very poor lodging experience. For your convenience, let me address some of the more pertinent issues: (1) there was pet hair on the sofas, which should have been thoroughly vacuumed prior to our arrival; (2) the kitchen was not properly cleaned; (3) there were maggots in one of the outside trash receptacles; (4) all ceiling fans were extremely dusty; (5) there were chips left from a checker game — and we didn’t bring checkers; (6) items were left in dresser drawers; (7) bugs were found in a number of locations; and (8) the bedroom with two beds didn’t have nightstands. Overall, I would recommend that some serious maintenance be performed before this house is rented in the future. I am dissatisfied!

The location of the house and it’s exterior design was great for relaxing. We were a little disappointed that when we arrived, the cooktop only had two areas working. When we called the management company, we were told that it was like that for some time and to use a hot plate! Really??? The few times we did attempt to cook, caused extra time and work in preparing a meal for twelve adults! Maintenance on the house was very poor. There was mold in both the master and a upper level bathroom. There was a lack of caulking throughout the house and the interior walls were in need of painting. We reported a faulty ceiling fan in a upper bedroom and the maintenance man said that he had already reported that the fan needed to be replaced. A few of my guests reported finding bugs in their bed and in one of the upper bathrooms. I requested an exterminator and none showed up for the entire visit. Recommend the maintenance and comfort issues be addressed before renting this property again.

Our family of 10 had a marvelous time at 25 Rum Row!!! Six adults and 4 children had plenty of room. Most importantly two teenage girls had their own rooms!!!! 😂 We had the pool and hot tub heated which was a game changer. Kids and adults loved it. Kitchen was well equipped and we appreciated the starter paper towels etc. That was very helpful. The dryer broke our first day there and it was replaced within a day. The pool lights weren’t working but Island Getaway was very responsive and they were fixed right away. Very little inconvenience. Beds were comfortable too. Short bike ride to the beach. The only thing I would recommend would be more lamps! The indoor lighting could be better. Thank you for an amazing Thanksgiving week! We’ll be back!

The house was very clean compared to other vacation rentals we have stayed at. The neighborhood resort was beautiful. We wished beach access was closer because when you have little ones going to the bathroom is an issue. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were very accommodating except for one that did not have its own bathroom which with two adults is a problem. Great if the two in this room can share the bedroom’s bathroom next to it. This is a problem because there is no private access to the bathroom without disturbing the other adults and no privacy while in the bath to the other room. None of the doors locked to the bedrooms or bathrooms which also created problems but we worked it out by letting everyone know do not disturb. We wish the master bedroom had curtains or blinds in bathroom for privacy. Not sure if anyone could see in but gave you a creepy feeling. The pool and deck were awesome. The grandbabies loved it and they provided plenty of seating and lounging around the pool.

The flow of the house is good for entertaining . The rooms are of good size. The master bedroom on the second floor would be better if it had it’s own bathroom. The master bedroom on the first floor had what looked like mold in the celling in the room where the commode was located. Some of the light bulbs in restroom where burned out. Had to call for cleaning to return due to trash behind end tables in master bedroom on first floor. The sheets on bed in master bed room had to be replace due to age & heavy beading on which made the sheets feel ruff on the skin. The furniture in the family room by the kitchen area needs to be replaced . The leather coach cushions filling are worn. Meaning when you sat on either end of coach you sank down very low. The same feeling for the cushion on the leather chair that matched the coach. The fabric coach cushion were better. The pool was of nice size . Had to call three days for the pool to be cleaned . There was a live frog swimming in the pool. Pool was not clean .
