Welcome to Gloucester Street in The Grande at Canal Pointe!
OVERVIEW:Spacious home with five bedrooms w/two levels, three bathrooms, and sleeps ten people. It has a lovely open floor concept with a great large room, bottom-level bedrooms with a primary bedroom, an upgraded kitchen with granite, stainless steel appliances, kitchen island dining, and gorgeous tile flooring. Huge "kids room" on the 2nd level with twin bunk beds, queen sleeper sofa, and TV perfect for kids area. An oversized two-car garage is stocked with beach equipment, bikes, and a charcoal grill available for guests.
This home is available all year round and is great for multi-generational family vacations, holidays, and corporate retreats.
LOCATION: Welcome to The Grande at Canal Pointe community! Beautifully landscaped community, picturesque walking paths through the neighborhood, East of Rt. 1, less than 2 miles from Rehoboth Beach & Boardwalk, and easy bike ride to downtown and even closer to the tax-free Tanger Outlets. The first two community pools, clubhouses, and gyms are just steps away from home. That's right! This community has two pools (Pools typically open from Memorial Day through Labor Day), two gyms, two clubhouses, fenced-in community playgrounds, and tennis and basketball courts. Access to the Junction and Breakwater Bike trails (connecting Rehoboth and Lewes Beaches) is located across from the community entrance. Bike downtown Rehoboth Beach to enjoy the finest restaurants, relax on the beach, or enjoy the boardwalk.
PARKING: Private driveway for four cars and overflow throughout the community.
AMENITIES: Two-car garage, charcoal grill, Wi-Fi, ceiling fans, and community amenities (outdoor pools, tennis courts, and basketball).
THINGS TO KNOW: The 199.99 processing fee is non-refundable in the event you cancel. This home rents Saturday-Saturday during the prime summer months; there is a strict ten-person occupancy limit, including children and no pets. Linens are not included. However, we do offer a rental package for guests. Surveillance cameras for security on the exterior of the home. Please note that the VRBO service fee is charged separately by VRBO and is not imposed by the Host. As a result, your credit card will reflect two separate charges: one from VRBO for the service fee and one from the Host for the rental charges. The VRBO service fee will not appear on the Rental Agreement.

Easy check-in as we arrived after 4pm.The kitchen was well equipped. The drip coffee maker probably needs to be replaced, but it may do. Lots of room in the kitchen and the cooking area, especially with a big family like ours.

We have stayed at this property before and enjoyed it. There are plenty of rooms for everyone to spread out. The main living area is inviting. We also like the location.

Great place and location

Location was perfect. Quick access to Rehoboth Beach. Place was new and clean. It could have used more pots and pans but other than that, it was great.

Family Vacay

This house had plenty of space with great air conditioning. It was a very hot week! My family enjoyed the neighborhood and the pools. Re/max was easy to deal with and also great with communication.

Clean properly, lots of space. Check in and check out were super easy. The only negative were some of the pool attendants. They kept asking us questions that clearly did not pertain to us, idk if the community is older and didn’t really want kids there (they were very well behaved and respectful), but we didn’t stay at the pool long because they kept coming up to us and saying thing like, we have too many people, which we did not. Even after explaining, she said, I’ll let it go this time. It was very odd and we did not want to go back to the pool.

Lovely, clean, spacious, and well-located

We had a great week here! Two sets of parents, each with two kids. We walked to both of the neighborhood pools, which were well-maintained and lovely, and drove to the nearby beaches. We appreciated the ample space and good location. And the rental management folks were super-helpful when we had an issue with the washing machine -- they were responsive and it was fixed in just a few hours. We'd definitely stay here again.

Clean and easy to drive to activities

We had a great time! The house was so clean and the floor plan was perfect for our family. The upstairs was perfect for kids to play in. The pools and other amenities were wonderful. It was a quick drive to the boardwalk/beach. The house had beach chairs, basketballs, bikes, helmets and other beach things which was helpful. You do have to pick-up and drop-off the pool fobs and house keys to Remax which was a few minutes away. We would stay again!

Family of Seven

Seven of us shared this house. Three couples (parents/2 children with spouses and one grandchild). Overall beautiful house. First floor layout was excellent. Great open concept kitchen / dining area / living area. Great master bedroom. Plenty of cooking utensils and dishes and serving dishes. Clean and well keep kitchen area. Quiet area. Our biggest issues: Floors could’ve been cleaner; bathrooms and kitchen area floors were in need of a washing. They were tacky (sticky). We found ourselves cleaning floors with paper towels. Second floor bedroom can use a better mattress. My husband had to move to the bunk bed to sleep as the mattress was sunken in the center. The pool lady (not sure who she was but appeared to be in charge with a sign in sheet, etc.) was a bit rude on the two occasions the “adult kids” were able to use the pool (it wasn’t raining)! Overall good experience.

Girl's Shopping Weekend

We had 13 women in my group who stayed at this property the first weekend in December for a girl's shopping trip weekend. The housing in this development is still under construction and the lots across the street are still empty. The houses are very close together and there is virtually no back yard but we really didn't need it for this time of year. The inside of the house was beautiful and just as the pictures portray in the listing. Lots of space and everything in working order and the place still looks brand new. The kitchen was stocked with everything we could possibly need. We picked this house as it was close to the outlets for shopping and worked out perfectly. For those looking to rent and you don't buy the linen package bring your own sheets, pillowcases, towels and kitchen towels. Also bring your own trash bags and paper towels. Toilet paper was provided which was a plus. Main bedroom has a very large bathroom with two sinks and a large shower. We had plenty of hot water and the dishwasher worked great. Good sized refrigerator and also had a toaster oven and coffee maker. We did not use the washer and dryer so we can't comment on that. All in all a very nice place and we plan to make a return trip next year!

Spacious nicely appointed home

We were very pleased with this home. Space was great, rooms were clean and neat and the home had plenty of games, books, beach stuff, toys, bikes, boogie boards, etc. The kitchen was fantastic. The neighborhood was quiet and friendly. The pool was clean and area well maintained. We only visited to back one in the complex.

Great home/great location!

Great location. Community had a lot to offer( 2 pools, 2 fitness areas and clubhouses). Home had plenty of room and well equipped to host a large family.

Great modern house, short drive to all attractions

Really happy with our rental and the house... plenty of space for our pets and children to spread out. The check in process was quick and easy, despite the required detour to the relax office.

Nice House but had issues

The house itself was very spacious, nice and clean (with the exception of the trash cans in the garage that were filled with bugs). But there was no deck or patio or space outside at all to sit and relax or to eat. This was not made clear in the listing and was a huge disappointment. It's a new development and there was construction on the lot next door and two across the street. They started working early and woke us up every day at 7 am. with loud noises. Twice we were unable to drive down the street - one time they had carpet laid out across the road and the second a cement truck was blocking the road. Each time they made us wait a few minutes before we could pass. Other issues: * The development has two pools and we one time cut through the backyard (which was minimal) to walk to the pool and had a neighbor call and complain. *The listing said 2 miles to the beach but it was more than that. It was a good location in terms of being both near Route 1 and also the boardwalk (via car)

The house was nice. It accommodated the 13 of us. There was 9 adults and 4 children.

The house is in a new development. The one issue we had was all the construction going on around the house. The workers were there early in the morning until the evening. When that is all done the house it not that bad. It is a quick drive to the beach. The pool in the development was nice. The house is very roomy.

Great location and size!

Perfect size family room, kitchen and kids hang-out room for our 3 families. Also the location was ideal for taking our group to the beach and outlets. One thing...toilet paper would be good next time. We would stay again. Thnx!

Perfect house - great location

Overall great stay. Family of 12 (4 kids under 8 years) had tons of space, quiet neighborhood, and bikes in the garage. Very close to downtown for great restaurants and shopping. We stayed over the Thanksgiving break and it was perfect. A bit of an effort ify ou're looking to get to a beach, but pick your battles. We will be back!

Perfect for Large Family

My family of 12 stayed here and the property was big enough to sleep everyone as well as allowing areas for us to convene together. The owner has literally thought of everything you would need including bikes, pool accessories and more. The property is about 7 minutes from the beach by car and about 10-15 by bike. I highly recommend this place for anyone that wants to be close to the beach but a little bit away from the hustle and bustle of the boardwalk.

Excellent NEW HUGE Beach house for 16+ people

The house was perfect for our group of 16. Very spacious with basic essentials and clean. Huge living area and kitchen. Plenty of room for all of us to not feel like we are all on top of each other. The location is very close to Tanger and 2 beaches - Rehoboth and Lewes Beach. Parking wasn't an issue for our 4 cars. "kids room" on 2nd level is a HUGE PLUS. Beach chairs and bikes are rare to find in beach house. All bikes were in working condition. AC was working great. Minus - Only 3 bathrooms.Few beds may need to be replaced. Linens were not provided. we rented our own.(add $125) We would definitely rent this unit again and recommend others who enjoy the beach life to do so as well!
