Mount Gretna is so exciting during the Art Show. Held the 3rd full weekend of August each year, it is, without a doubt, the busiest you will see the area year-round. Visitors come from all over the country, reserving cottages months in advance, just to be here for that weekend and to be a part of all the fun. We love that you got to experience it and had an incredible time.

We love that you and your husband enjoyed the porch. The canopy of trees covering the cottages always seems to keep Mount Gretna a few degrees cooler - even on the hottest days! Part of its unique charm, for sure.

Thank you so much. We appreciate you mentioning the air conditioning. We contacted the owner to recommend additional A/C units be installed in the bedrooms. This summer has been very hot and humid, and we know how important it is to have a cool and refreshing escape each night. Hopefully soon, with modern technology and cell phones, the fire siren will become a thing of the past. We do our best to give guests a head's up in the Welcome Guide but know it can be daunting! Mount Gretna is served by a volunteer fire company that is alerted to a wide range of emergencies by a fire siren which can sound at all hours of the day and night - it is loud and repeats three times.

This cottage is owned by an antique dealer, and it is decorated with unique antiques and historic memorabilia - interesting, for sure! We are so glad you enjoyed yourselves. We will make sure to take a look at the porch lights. Thanks for bringing that to our attention.
