Heaven on Earth

Our family has been vacationing on Plum Island for years and have rented several properties. This gem was far and away the loveliest and most pleasant. It was bright, immaculate, spacious and very well provisioned. It was a simple and accessible walk to the beach and nestled in a great section of the island. We can't wait to return next summer.

Great location, some draw backs to the house itself

Upstairs is lovely living space, location is great - cute neighborhood, nice view of ocean and sky. Unfortunately all bedrooms are downstairs and one had a waterlogged carpet which compromised our stay, but if fixed for future tenants this will help.

Jennifer - thank you very much for the feedback. I appreciate you contacting me right away to let me know about the wet carpet. Like I mentioned when we spoke on the phone, I'm not local so I rely on my guests and my cleaning crew to inform me of any issues with the house. With all the rain prior to and during your stay we discovered a leak coming from the roof and it has since been taken care of. I hope the nights I refunded you helped with any inconvenience it may have caused and we hope we can host you again sometime! With dry carpets of course :). All the best, Nicole

Oasis

This house is closer to the beach than many beachfront properties on PI. Great neighborhood, friendly neighbors, perfect beach vibe. Nicole was quick to resolve a small issue on day one and it was smooth sailing from there. 5 minute walk to the core of PI for ice cream, convenience store, restaurants and Surfland Bait and Tackle (for us fishermen). Thanks Nicole for delivering a much needed escape. I highly recommend this property.

Beach house well exceeds expectations !!!!!

From start to finish best house we have rented for summer vacations thus far!!!! All you need to do is bring your suitcase and stock the refridgerator .... This house has EVERYTHING you could possibly need for a relaxing stay on plum island. There are super comfy beds, linens,pillows, blankets, plush bath towels, beach towels, paper towels,toilet paper,napkins,trash bags,dish soap ,laundry detergent..... Honestly you need to bring nothing, not to mention it is a BEAUTIFUL home.it has tons of that beach house charm with all the modern comforts of home, very large kitchen(table for 8)stainless steel appliances,3 sofas in the livingroom,2 sofas in the tv room , 2 full size bathrooms , 4 bedrooms(queen,queen,queen futon,2twins) amazing 6person hot tub outside, deck upstairs with another 8person table, grill ,and sun deck with chaise loungers.... Not to mention every pot, pan, dish and gadget a cook could ask for!!! But seriously the view was outstanding, simply gorgeous sunrises from your unobstructed view of the beautiful Atlantic Ocean. Nicole, the owner was very helpful through the entire rental process and at the end of the stay was very kind when we accidentally damaged the hot tub cover, she submitted to the insurance company and told us not to worry"accidents happen" , very kind!!!!! You can walk to plum island grille for dinner(yummy) mad Martha's for breakfast, the liquor store or the small convience store all with in 5 min from the house.... Or drive 5 min into Newburyport with all the shops ,restaurants and quaint New England village stuff it has to offer... But STAY HERE , you will be more than 100% satisfied with this lovely beach home

Didn’t want to leave!

Small hiccup to start but it was cleared up quickly. Easy walk to the beach and town. Fishing at night was great! Long walk to the northern end of the island to walk out to the jetty or a short drive. You can be as isolated or as in to things as you like. We really didn’t want to leave!

Bright ,clean ,comfortable, beautiful interior.

Very nicely decorated and spacious. Lots of space for gathering and very comfy. Location was great, beach access was excellent. Communication and cooperation from owner was satisfactory. The only thing keeping it from being a 5 star home is that it advertises a hot tub and it was obvious it had not worked all summer, some air flow issues on upper level and view was obstructed by new construction across street .

Great Location on Plum island

I cannot rave enough about the location of this house! I got married this past weekend and my husband and groomsmen all dressed in the house so it was perfect for photos! The hot tub was a great addition to the home and everyone slept comfortably. The house was clean and organized!

Perfect for us!

We had a wonderful week here. A two minute walk to town, the beach is right across the street, and the spot was just right. Everything you need to stay - just bring the food! The neighbors were very nice. We will definitely book again.

Fantastic beach property

Our family rented this house in early August, during the hottest week of the summer. It was such a treat to stay at this property! Our three children, 5, 3, and 1 years old, had an absolute blast. We were directly across the street from the beach and felt like we were ON the beach because of the beautiful views from kitchen and living areas. The bedrooms were downstairs with air conditioning, so we all slept very comfortably. The hot tub was a such an added bonus after a long morning on the beach. We needed assistance figuring out the hot tub at one point and Nicole got back to us right away. The kitchen and bathrooms were well appointed with tools and towels. We were so sad to leave, and the kids asked to go back every single day until the end of the month. Plum Island is such a beautiful place, we were lucky to enjoy it and can't wait to go back!

Nice spot!

Had a little family vacation and the place was nice and clean and pretty much right on the beach, which was exactly what we were looking for. The house fit our family comfortably. The parking was a little tight, but I expected that coming in as there is usually not that much land near the water. A/C was available in the bedrooms, but one thing I would have liked better is having A/C on the main floor. The days we were there were scorching hot and even with the cool sea breeze, the inside reached the upper 80s during the hottest part of the day. Nights were nice and cool and opening the windows was more than enough to cool down the house. We had a great time and would come here again if the occasion arises.

Beautiful spot!

The online pictures don't do it justice! This home was beautiful- and the owner was so easy to work with. We felt very taken care of. We plan on booking next year! Highly recommend!

Beautiful house and great time!

Loved this place. The location was outstanding and was nice a roomy on inside. Beds were very comfortable. The large steam shower was just amazing. Our kids had such a wonderful time! Nice open layout facing the ocean allowing sun to radiate in. Plenty of linens, towels. Nice modern updates. A couple of drawbacks - the Internet was pretty much non existent the whole time we were there which was a pain because my husband had to do a few work things. The heat was insane so a few fans would have been nice. Lastly, neighbor next door was very territorial over parking/land so when we parked in the sandy driveway in front of the house, he would almost block us so we had a very hard time getting out - he pulled as close to the property line as he could making it really obvious that he was just being salty. He even posted a sign while we were there about no parking in his driveway, which we never did, not even once! Overall I would stay again but make sure I had plenty of fans and would not need Internet. A very lovely house!

Hi Ryan! Thank you so much for your review, and we're glad you enjoyed your stay. We really appreciate feedback as it helps us improve our rental property! Since your stay with us we've added several fans to the upstairs and also replaced the outdated wireless router with a brand new Apple Airport. As far as the salty neighbors..not much I can do there other than kill them with kindness ;).
