The village of Prazeres is inserted in a territory that has many pedestrian routes. The diverse walks available in our village, offers our visitors unique moments of interaction with Nature and Sea. We have numerous attractions, provided by the 20 existing footpaths, beaches diversities, available nature sports, regional cuisine, temperature, rural environment, air quality, good accessibility and urban mobility are some of the attractions that can satisfy the different personal motivations of each tourist in our village. Staying at CALHETA - PRAZERES is to enjoy tranquility and tranquility in an environment of safety, comfort, nature and proximity to the Sea provided by the 20 km of coastline. The proximity to the Sea and to Nature is one of the unique characteristics in this rural village. It's a stunning location with sea an hill views, surrounded by nature. The accommodation is spotless and had everything we needed. The village had a supermarket and great cafes and restaurants. We absolutely loved our stay here.

1 week stay with young children

Amazing, beautiful house, gardens and pool, everything you need in a quiet safe and peaceful area. The owner couldn't have been more helpful and friendly, truly fantastic experience. Highly recommended.

We enjoyed our stay at the house and the pool. It is spacious for two. The appartement is clean, beds are good and the bathroom is oke. Maybe some more towels hooks would be better if 4 persons are staying. The appartement has 2 bedrooms: one in the appartement and one which isaccessible via the conservatory/glass corridor although this is not mentioned in the advertisment. It took us 1.5 hours to find the second bedroom. We arrived around 10:00 PM, and by then it is dark. So we called Catia several times to ask her where the second bedroom was but could not reach her. It would have solved the problem at once if she could have told us by phone. The appartement has air conditioning that can cool and heat. In May is was still chilly so we used the airco in the living room but could not get it to a pleasant temperature. The conservatory is hot when the sun shines but does not heat up the appartement which I think is perfect in summer but not useful when chilly.

Regarding the heating, the apartment is equipped with high-quality DAIKIN air-conditioning units, capable of heating the space up to 30°C (86°F). For this reason, we believe there may have been some difficulty in configuring or operating the system during your stay. As for the second bedroom, we are sorry for any inconvenience caused. However, this information was communicated in the messages sent prior to your arrival, where we clearly indicated that the bedroom was available and accessible to all guests. For this reason, we were surprised to learn that there was difficulty locating the room. Nevertheless, we understand that after a journey and a late arrival, some details may be overlooked. Fabulous

Absolute gem of a property. Perfect location, 10 mins drive to Calheta and its great beach. In walking distance to a few great restaurants in the cute little town. The property is very spacious with great seating areas in the garden and the covered porch area with it's huge windows. The pool was just perfect and beautiful when lit up at night. The house has everything you could need and was clean and tidy. Would not hesitate to book again.

What a Fantastic Holiday Let

To start with, the check in was so easy, keys left in a coded lock box which made things so simple. The property was spotless, as was the garden and pool. The hosts were very quick in responding to my messages about extra family members who came over as a suprise. The area is quiet but with several cafes, Restaurants and a supermarket. Excellent location to the hikes that we done and really only 1 hour from anywhere on the island. This is far the best holiday home and actual holiday in Europe that we have ever had. We have already said that we will be back in 2024

Fabulous for two people!

This is our third visit and what a surprise! Kitchen had been updated with new worktops and a dishwasher great! Also part of the veranda had been enclosed with glass sliding doors and a lovely seating area had been made.This was really fabulous to sit in during the day with doors open and at night with doors closed. What a difference this has made . If you want a lovely peaceful base with magnificent views and walks and easy access to the whole of the island we would recommend this .We will be back.

Lovely stay away from Tourists

Everything was clean and tidy and as pictures showing. The pool was amazing. I felt comfortable and safe. Would have been good to know that the house is kinda connected to an another house through a garden door. Lucky me there was nobody in during my stay so didn’t bother me. I didn’t like the camera at all. There’s a road close by which was a little bit noisy sometimes but not to bad. All in all I had a great stay! Thank you guys

We appreciate your feedback and would like to point out that the neighboring house is also available for holiday rental, however, both houses are completely independent, guaranteeing total privacy for our guests. For everyone's safety, we have exterior cameras, exclusively to ensure the tranquility and safety of guests. Regarding the noise caused by the circulation of vehicles, we understand your observation. This is a specific and sporadic situation, as the area is rural and vehicle circulation is generally very low. In general, we are happy that you enjoyed your stay and we thank you for your preference.

99% perfect accomodation

The cottage is perfectly fitted and set up, however, we missed matches and a pair of scissors.Very clean and comfortable, only the sofa should be renewed, it's old and sagging. The washing mashine should be used more frequently, it worked well, smelled like not being used for quite a while, though. We we're just the two, but the house is perfect for 2 couples, it's got two separate bedrooms, very well separated from one another.

Lovely property

The property was all we expected but due to the extreme weather conditions during all of our 2 week stay (Storm Emma) this spoilt our enjoyment at the property. For the majority of the time there we couldn't see more than 50 yards. Of course none of this was the fault of the cottage or the owners. Everything we needed was there i.e. washing machine, dishwasher, full size cooker and a marvellous log burner which was in full use every evening. A mop bucket and a brush would have helped in keeping the floor clean during our 2 week stay but they are minor issues. Thank you Cátia

Summer Holiday

On arrival was impressed with cleanliness and overall standard of villa. Pool area was particularly nice. No fault with villa at all, very nice. HOWEVER IF YOU WANT PRIVACY AT THIS VILLA THEN DO NOT BOOK. OWNER HAS CAMERAS THAT COVER THE GARDEN AND VILLA AND HAS FAILED TO MENTION THIS. ALSO POOL IS ADVERTISED AS HEATED BUT OWNER HAS IT TURNED DOWN SO COLD IT NEVER ACTUALLY HEATS THE POOL. AS THE WEATHER WAS NOT GREAT, POOL WAS NOT USED MUCH AS IT WAS TOO COLD TO STAY IN FOR ANY LENGTH OF TIME. WHAT COULD HAVE BEEN A GREAT HOLIDAY WAS SPOILT BY OVER NOSEY AND INTRUSIVE OWNER. Would not book again.

Comments are always welcomed. There is only a simple camera outside the house, which only serves to protect guests in case there is any intrusion on the property, without consent, a situation that has never happened. Regarding the pool, the heating, as is understandable, has a standard temperature included in the daily price of the house, however, for higher temperatures there is an additional cost. During his stay, the guest had water between 24 and 26 degrees, however, without authorization, he tampered with the pool's heating equipment, changing the temperature to 32 degrees, violating the house rules. The guest was alerted several times to the situation, however, he insisted on handling the pool heating equipment without authorization, going against the owner's instructions and information on several occasions. The house has a heated pool and no jacuzzi.

Maison au top, bien équipée que ce soit en équipement electrodomestique mais aussi niveau draps, serviettes de douche mais aussi serviette pour la piscine, un gilet de sauvetage pour enfant et deux petites boué pour jouer dans l’eau. Il y avait également un petit nécessaire pour commancer comme quelque pastilles lave vaisselle, sel, éponge, savon main… Je recommande à 100%

Alles anders als in Inserat

Madeira ist wunderschön, aber von dem Haus bin ich nur entsetzt.Ganz schlimm die Camera die auf den gesamten Garten und Pool gerichtet ist. Leider wurde das in den Inserat nicht erwähnt, auch das nicht, dass der Pool für 26 Euro pro Tag aufgewärmt werden kann. Ich war ein mal kurz drin, das Wasser war kälter als im Ozean und der Boden glitschig. Laut Besitzer die Camera soll im kriminalitätfreien Madeira nur zur Sicherheit da sein. Wir fühlten uns genötigt und haben weder den Garten noch den Pool benutzt. Der Garten ist ca.20 m von stark befahrenen Schnellstraße entfernt. Sehr laut. Keine persönliche Schlüsselübergabe oder Hauseinweisung. Irreführende Fotos im Inserat. Es gibt definitiv keinen Meeresblick von der Unterkunft. Der Blick ist in der ersten Linie auf den Komposter/Abfall, Gestrüpp und auf die Schnellstraße. Sämtliche Möbel weisen Kratzer, abgeblättertes Funier. Das Sofa ist sehr niedrig und besteht aus einem Holzgestell das mit einem Kunstleder, fast ohne Polster überzogen ist. Mikrowelle sehr alt mit abgeblätterten Farbe. Toaster mit ausgebrochenen Kontrolleuchte und stark verschmutzt. Handtücher mit Löchern, Flecken, stark verbraucht. Nur ein kleines Strandhandtuch. Es gibt KEINEN Parkplatz für dieses Gebäude mit sehr schmalen Weg, das nur zu Fuß erreichbar ist. Koffer, Einkäufe müssen von der Straße getragen werden. We regret to inform you that your allegations are not entirely true. On the eve of your arrival, we were asked for the pool to be at 32 degrees, a requirement that was not in accordance with the payment made. Regarding other statements, we cannot confirm their veracity either. We would also like to highlight that the comments from other guests about our house have been completely positive, which leads us to conclude that their conduct and statements were not guided by the respect and consideration that is expected when staying in a holiday home. We suggest that you check the reviews of this couple with other hosts to better assess their suitability. I do not recommend these guests to any host. We wish you to be happy!
