Just steps from a private white sand beach to relax and swim on, acres of pristine forest to explore, tennis courts, fire pits, countless fishing locations near by, 3 local golf courses to challenge. Many local attractions like waterfalls, parks, museums and of course shopping at any of the countless shops on the island.

A marvelous trip away from the pace of the city

We found the property and the cottage to have just the perfect balance of feeling like a rustic getaway and having the conveniences of modernity. Traveling with small children was very easy. The cottage was equipped with a washer and dryer. The kitchen was very well outfitted with excellent pots, pans and utensils. Ruth was wonderful in bringing extra shovels and toys for sand play. The fire pit was in use nightly and the supply of firewood was easy to access. The beach is beyond description in particular if you like privacy and remoteness and being just steps away from the cottage. Again, the owners think of the guests... At the beach there are numerous and varied lounge chairs and small tables. The hosts were friendly, hospitable, informative and responsive.

Excellent Stay

I had an excellent stay at this cottage. It was a wonderful experience. I arrived on a Saturday afternoon along with my husband and our 5 and 3 year-old children and stayed until Monday. I am an over-protective mother who worries about my children a lot, as my 3 year-old is very rambunctious and takes a lot of chances. I felt much calmer than usual here because it felt very safe. The cottage is in a great location, well off of the roads and through a wooded area. Also, there is an area outside of the cottage with sand and a picnic bench and a little paved area, where the kids would play. There were some trees and a path that led a few yards to the lake and beach area. There was enough space from the water that I felt very secure. My kids loved it. (When my son got home he cried his eyes out because he thought we’d moved to that cottage and didn’t understand why we were back home again.) Inside the cottage it was clean and comfortable. The tiled floors and door were new. The beds were comfortable. The master bedroom had a nice balcony with chairs and a table on it to enjoy the view of the water. The kitchen had all of the plates, cutlery and appliances we needed. It was nice and cool inside, the temperature was great. There were floaty toys in the owner’s shed that we were encouraged to borrow and balls, sand buckets and shovels to borrow on the beach and on the sandy area outside of the cottage. The owners were a very friendly couple who were very kind and personable. We had an excellent stay and our children keep asking if we can go back again. I definitely recommend this property.

Lovely cottage with a beautiful beach

We stayed here over the long Labour Day weekend and were very happy. There are 3 cottages on the property and we had the western most one. We stayed for 3 nights with my sister and her partner, my wife and our 3 children (8,5 and 1). The cottage is cozy, well outfitted and well maintained. There was nothing that was lacking. There was ample things for the children to do and best of all is the beach. The cottage faces Lake Huron and its only a short walk to a beautiful beach that the family loved. If you're looking for a nice getaway to relax and enjoy the beach and water, we would recommend this place.

Dominion Bay

Amazingly beautiful property. The cottage is well appointed and sparkling clean. .it is also spacious and well thought out Owner’s are on the property or an email away. Everything you might need for a stay is available. I cannot speak highly enough of Nathan’s responsiveness and overall friendliness

Nice secluded place right on Lake Huron

Comfy place with everything needed for your stay on Dominion Bay. Shop before you arrive because the nearest market is 30 minutes away and closes early. No WiFi and cell phone service is spotty. The owners were friendly and helpful. The place had, full kitchen supplies, Beach chairs on the lake, fire pit, BBQ, picnic table, bocce court, firewood all provided.

Cute Secluded Cabin on the Water

This cabin was very secluded to allow you to detach and totally relax. It is just steps from the beach and is amazing. Better than the cabin itself is the owner who was very prompt to respond to any inquiries and made a point come check up on us (he was not available when we checked in.) The property was extremely well maintained and our experience just could not have been better. We loved this property and will definitely rent these again if we make it back to this area, and are actually considering designing a trip specifically to come use these.

Cute and Cozy

Very nice location, close to a nice Sandy beach. We are a family of 6 and fit perfectly. The owners were super friendly and helpful.
