Enjoy the lake view from our screened in porch in our 5 year old home. Fantastic very private lakefront home very close to the water. A gentle sloped short walk to our double boathouse. Enjoy the use of the community private boat launch right across the street. The home features 275 foot of water frontage right off the main lake in a private cove. 4 bedrooms, 4 baths plus bonus room- max occupancy of 8 plus 4 kids Plenty of room for your boat at our dock. The screened in porch has a 50" big screen TV to watch while enjoying the beautiful lake view. We have 2 kayaks for your enjoyment. Large open floor plan for entertaining. Beautiful master bedroom suite with large shower and double vanities. Enjoy a total of 4 large flat screen TVs.

Some of our neighbors have full time jobs and have to get up in the morning.. Please be considerate and keep any music and noise at a low levels.
The HOA has requested NO parking on the streets as they are private and not very wide. There is plenty of parking space in the driveway.

Lovely Lake House

Thoroughly enjoyed a quiet relaxing week at this beautiful home on a quiet cove with a resident Blue Heron. Enjoyed the screened porch & the kitchen was very well supplied. Would highly recommend a visit to the Sylvan Heights Bird Park, about an hour away.

Overall the house was great.

Loved the screened in porch, especially on buggy nights. Beds comfortable. Enjoyed stay despite all the rain. If we would have known, could have brought less chairs with us. Kayak use was great. Great Experience

The house suited our family ideally, it was immaculate and well-designed with a well-equipped kitchen, and huge center island, perfect for a buffet spread. We had a person in a wheelchair and he could navigate around the main level very well. Room sizes were generous. The porch overlooking the water, and the dock were idyllic. The owners were a pleasure to deal with, most helpful the whole way through the process. We stayed between Christmas and New Years and so appreciated finding a Christmas tree and tasteful decorations already in place! Have already recommended this property to my friends.

Lake life

Nice house and amenities. I received an email with a 3:00pm check in time, but owner was present and said it was 4:00pm. He still granted us access at 3:00pm, so thanks a lot because we had young kids. You could inform people that you cannot jump or dive off the dock because it it too shallow.

Perfect for family getaway

We absolutely loved our stay. We had a week long family get together here with plenty of space for cousins to play, everyone to sleep, lounge, read, swim, eat, etc. The kitchen was huge and very well equipped for all our needs. It was stocked with lots of seasonings as well. It was great to have the smart TVs all over (including the screened in porch!). We used the grill and the fire pit; they were brand new. The dock is perfect for swimming. We brought life jackets and some floats and spent most of our time hanging out in the water. The water is clear and refreshing, and felt totally safe. There are beautiful sunset views from the dock! If we decide to revisit lake Gaston, we would definitely try and rebook this house. Communication with the owners was excellent; they are very kind. We couldn’t have been happier with our experience here!

Not What We Expected

Location & layout of the house were great. However the house needed a good cleaning inside and out. Had to clean the screened porch before we could use it; make room in the pantry for our food & clean frig. The 4 & 6 year olds freeked out at the long black hairs in their tub that night; cleaned that too. House had dead bugs, spider webs, dust bunnies and ceiling fans coated in dust. We have never stayed in a house where the owners' clothes, prescription medications, etc. were in the closets and drawers. It felt like we were imposing. Knives & cleaning supplies were also accessible to little ones. The oven was so dirty that is smoked and smelled when turned on and the temp. wasn't calibrated properly. In this condition, we definitely will not be returning. This house has so much potential!

The perfect house for multiple familes

This house worked out perfectly for 4 couples and 4 teenagers. There are 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms upstairs (one is open to the rest of the house). Downstairs, the large bathroom with double sinks works perfectly for the two bedrooms on that level. Two of the bathrooms have a walk-in shower only: The basement bathroom and the queen bedroom with a bath connected. The master and public bathrooms upstairs have bathtubs. All of the rooms are large (the smallest is the queen room upstairs that does not have a private bath, but it's still a good size). This house was very clean when we checked in. Kudos to the cleaning staff! Air conditioning in the house is amazing. It was very hot the week we stayed and we were actually cold at night! When we weren't floating, we spent most of our time on the screened-in porch. The view from the house is amazing. When you're in the kitchen, you feel like the water is right outside your door. We worried about noise from the camp across the cove, but that was never a problem. We actually enjoyed seeing the campers coming and going throughout the day. The furnishings and décor as very well done. The only thing we really missed was an outdoor shower and a boat slip. But the water is calm enough that our boat was safe tied up to the dock. We would definitely rent this lovely home again.

Fantastic Home and Owner

I can’t say enough about how incredible this property is. Very well stocked, clean and immaculate. Very comfortable, beautiful setting on the lake. On top of that, the home owner is fantastic. If we are ever in the area again, I would definitely stay there. No need to search for another home in this area. Thank you for making our stay easier, Dwight.

Lovely home and grounds

We had a wonderful stay at this Lake house. My grandsons used the kayaks and went swimming and fishing. The house is lovely and very well-equipped. We liked having two floors available. We plan on returning in the future.

Beautiful house, ideal location!!

My family of 10, including 3 generations, had the best time staying here! The house is beautiful and to say it was well-stocked is an understatement. The kitchen with double oven really came in handy and having a dining room table that not only had room for all of us but has the most amazing view of the lake. The bedrooms were comfortable and we loved that there were 2 masters with baths. The cove was so quite with very little activity other than at the camp across from us. The kids were out learning to sail and enjoying the lake which was fun to watch. Our favorite spot other that the dock, which was great because it offered both sunny & shady places to relax, was the screened in porch. We sat there every morning and evening just laughing and enjoying being together. Our family has been renting lakefront properties for several years and this one definitely stands out from the rest. Pictures simply can't convey how lovely the home and property really are...I recommend you see for yourself. You will not be disappointed! Thanks to our host Dwight for making sure we had everything we needed to make our check in quick and easy. Ruth

Great House!

There was more than enough room for our group of 10. The weather turned cold so we weren't able to fish or kayak so we spent most of our time inside. The split level made it easy for the children and adults to enjoy games and events without fighting over space. The kitchen was well stocked with everything a cook could imagine necessary. I've stayed in quite a few VRBOs and this kitchen was the best I've seen. And the view from the dining room is amazing! Dwight was very easy to work with from the start. He was quick to respond both times we needed him. I would've given it 5 stars, except it was a little dirty when we arrived. Most likely because we rented it off season. I'd definitely rent this place again.

Fun at the lake

Property was perfect! The host was fantastic to deal with! Plenty of room for all of us. Ages 19 to 91. Loved being able to use the Kayaks and tubes. We would rent again in a heartbeat!!

2021 Summer at Lake Gaston

This is our 2nd time staying at this property! It’s a beautiful house which is furnished with everything you need for a great vacation! The location is centrally located on the lake so it’s easy to get to all areas! There is a great boat house with a variety of tubes for just floating or being towed by a boat! They also have 2 kayaks to use in the beautiful cove that is right off of Stonehouse Creek. But our family’s favorite thing is enjoying the screened porch with it’s beautiful view of the water!

Perfect vacation house for us.

This place has it all. The listing pictures dont give the interior the credit it deserves. The house easily accommodated and entertained 2 families with 4 adults and 5 children ranging from 7-13 years old. Clean, modern and has fully equipped kitchen to make litterally anything. Two master suites on the main level were nice. The dock with covered and open lounging areas were perfect and was where we spent most of our time. Dock also has an uncovered area ready for a rental or personal boat. Water was about 4 feet deep at the slip. Check-in and check-out was painless. Communication with owner was prompt and clear. Would definitely recommend.

Great summer vacation!

Wonderful home on a large cove. Well stocked kitchen, very comfortable beds with nice linens. Ample yard space for cornhole and other outdoor games. Cove is quiet and calm enough for kayaks and pale boards. Water depth about 3-4 feet off dock. Kids caught plenty of bluegills, small bass and a few nice size catfish right off the dock in the calm mornings and evenings. Westerly wind blows right into the cove to cool you down while lounging on the dock or on the screened in porch. We will definitely consider coming back.

Perfect Getaway

The home and location is perfect for enjoying Lake Gaston. The home is on a quiet cove protected from the main lake and the dock had ample space to enjoy. We brought our wakeboard boat with us and had plenty of room to tie it up to the dock. The house was great! The kitchen had everything we needed and the open floor plan of the upstairs easily accommodated us. I can't say enough great things! The weather was perfect so we didn't spend much time inside but the house fit our needs perfectly for the week.

Peaceful lake retreat

What a beautiful house in a beautiful setting. The kitchen had absolutely everything we could possibly have needed. Even with ten people we had room to spare. The neighborhood was so quiet and walkable as well. Host has so wonderful and communicative. We would love to stay again!

Quiet Christmas at the lake, in this spacious, lakeside retreat.

We had a group of 7, stay for a week, at this waterfront property, over Christmas 2020. There is easily room for 3-4 more. This home has a large, and impressively stocked kitchen, for anything you may want to cook, including a kitchen aid mixer and ample plates and silverware. It had more silverware than we have in our own home. The whole place is very well decorated as I'm sure the owner uses this home himself, not just strictly a rental. The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable as well. You will love the luxury bathroom, off the master bedroom. The one thing I really liked was the super fast hot water, in all of the faucets. During the summer months, you can easily play in the lake as the back yard slopes right down to the water and the awesome boat dock where there are a couple kayaks. You can also swim, fish, or catch the beautiful sunsets, right off the dock. In setting up this week long stay, the home owner was readily available and answered any questions that we had very quickly. The home is bigger, than it shows, in the online photos. We will definitely be staying here again.

Great family property

Our family-- myself and husband, and 3 adult children with their partners (and 2 infants) stayed for a week at the lake house. It had plenty of room for everyone and spaces where those who needed to work could set up their computers. We especially enjoyed having large bedrooms with king and queen beds (many rentals offer twins or bunk beds); the very well equipped large kitchen; the screen porch for evening meals and games; and the dock with plenty of chairs/lounges and shade. The neighborhood is level and was nice for walking with the babies or bike riding. We had a wonderful week and would certainly book again if the opportunity arises!

Lake Gaston is one of the nicest lakes you will find. Clean water, not to crowded, and the lake level always remain the same (+ or - 1 foot) We sold our old home and built a new one for 2016. Join us for a memorable summer family vacation.
