The villa’s terrace overlooks Big Sand Lake, one of Florida’s cleanest natural lakes. Enjoy beautiful sunrises and sunsets from the living room or patio, and watch Disney’s nightly fireworks across the water.

Sand Lake Villa

We stayed for a week, primarily to see our granddaughter play volleyball. Everything was great- as we have come to expect from VRBO. Clean, convenient, comfortable.

Cute, clean, and convenient. 2 designated parking spots. Dishes, towels, nice kitchen. Great view of the lake. Quiet at night. Stairs to the second floor with 2 Full/Queen beds, laundry and full bathroom. Second bathroom off sitting area downstairs. Host was quick to respond to questions. Fantastic stay and we'll be back.

Nice view

Close to attractions and nice view. Property could use some updates. They were seal coating the parking lot which made it look nicer. The condo was just what we were looking for.

It was good for what we needed. Had a hard time finding which unit it was at first and you have to walk a bit from the parking lot. It is small and had a slight musky smell to it, but overall clean and neat. Overall it was a good size for what me and my daughter needed.

Myrtle's place is very clean and well situated. I liked there there were 2 bathrooms with showers, it made getting ready in the am very quick. We had a conference to attend and it was wonderful to come back to a home with a beautiful lake view in our down time!

Good Location

We enjoyed our time here. The interior of the villa was good for the two of us. It would also work for a family since both the queen beds are in the same bedroom, (upstairs.) It appears as though the grounds have not been well maintained. The location was convenient to Sea World, Disney, and Universal.

Mixed Review

The rental unit was clean and contemporary, well located to parks, and well supplied, but some of the furniture is slightly banged up. The confirmation we received gave us the wrong unit number so the residents were surprised when we tried to enter our code into their keypad. Myrtle was able to send us to the correct unit number. Photos of the property are not all accurate, including the tennis court, which does not exist. The exterior of the property is very run down, with cracked and broken sidewalks and poor landscaping. The view of the lake is great during sunset.

Clean and comfortable, but you need a car

The villa was clean, comfortable and had a nice view of the water from the back. I didn't have a car and there are not restaurants or stores close by. I had to order in my meals and a few groceries from a grocery store in the area. I know that amenities vary greatly but in my many stays at various other similar places that I've stayed (in the US and abroad) I'd never seen as few basics offered. Basically, salt and pepper. No coffee, no tea--nothing else! I now realize that I should have asked questions about where to find groceries, what condiments, etc., would be furnished. If you have a car and can shop for what you need, it's a nice place. Two bathrooms (nice), but one bedroom (with two full beds)--fine for me but maybe not for anyone else other than a couple or family.

Accommodating peaceful but ants

Check in was easy everything was in the condo no need to go to the store only for food to cook. But there were ants everywhere kitchen bathroom and bedroom. Gave 4 stars hopefully they address the ant problem.

We enjoyed our stay!

The property is quiet and much more spacious than a hotel room. We loved having a kitchen and also used the washer / dryer. Don't expect fresh paint, new furniture, extra kitchen towels, or fancy soap. I would compare it to a nice red roof inn and the price was very competitive with that level of hospitality. It was exactly what my wife and I were looking for and expecting. We would definitely stay again.

Did not stay, still waiting on refund. Not Happy

Went to check in at property and resort was very rundown. Parking spot was so far away from the villa, but to top it off the door looked like someone and tried to break in. I took a picture, called the owner and told her I did not feel safe staying there. I have been texting and messaging her for the last two weeks about my 50% refund she said she would give me. I still have not heard anything. She claims it was just cracked paint, but you can clearly tell that someone has tried to break into the villa. I would post the picture if they will let me.

Great location near amusement parks

Great location if you plan to visit Universal Studios and Walt Disney World parks. Everything is within 30 minutes. The only negative point is the comfort of the sofa-bed.

Family vacation

The property was perfect for our stay. It is central to most attractions and was easy to access. The place was neat and clean and had all the amenities we needed. Myrtle contacted us before our arrival, on our check in day and during our visit. I would highly recommend this place.

Nice Stay!

My husband and I stayed here. It worked well for the two of us. The platform beds are low to the ground (my husband is 6'5" so it was really low for him) but they were very comfortable. This property is convenient to Disney and other attractions in the area. Nice lake view and could see some of Disney fireworks. We would stay here again! Myrtle was very responsive. Thanks.
