Enjoy the ocean view and listen to the gentle surf from our attractive ground floor unit that has landscaping and privacy from lanai..

Our spacious one bedroom/ two full baths is located on beautiful Kaanapali Beach and considered to be 'the signature beach of West Maui'. Easy access for swimming, snorkeling and water sports are all right here!

Our condo is furnished with a fully accessorized kitchen, washer/dryer in unit, king size bed, living room, indoor dining area and outdoor sunning and dining and on our lanai with perfect 82 degree evenings!

24-hour front desk service is also provided by The Whaler along with a community fitness gym including sauna, outdoor BBQ area and swimming pool with Jacuzzi (towel service is also provided).

Whaler's Village is conveniently located on the adjoining property and provides a variety of excellent restaurants and shopping facilities.

We welcome you to our home away from home~

*$36.57/day resort fee + tax collected by Whaler upon departure; includes:

• Pool and Beach Towels

Maui wedding trip

Room was not quite what we expected at the Whaler! We have stayed at the Whaler 18 previous trips & this room was the worst! Along with the filthy carpet, the bathrooms had peeling wallpaper & although kitchen had some updated appliances, the counter tops & floor were stained & gross. 1st morning we found out the coffee maker didn’t work. Messaged owner & had new one 14 days later! Would not recommend!! P.S. need extra pool towels to soak up water from leaking shower doors!

Anniversary vacation

The location of the property is bar none the best on the island. Each unit at The Whaler is individually owned and therefore each unit varies substantially in what a renter can expect. Steve openly lists his property as discounted in compared to others in the resort. There is a reason for this and manage your expectations as a renter accordingly. Highly functional with all appliances and amenities, amazing ground floor location however furnishings and condition of unit are well worn.

Vacation Home in Paradise

This one bed, two bath condo is in an ideal location for families with children and those without. It is located on the ground floor of The Whaler on Ka'anapali Beach which is in the middle of all the action with close proximity to restaurants and activities. Highly recommend.

Tremendous space and location

We love The Whaler, and especially love the ground floor units. Our two young children can access the lawn, pool and ocean in just a few steps. The beds were very comfortable, and there was plenty of space for all four of us. We can't wait to return!

Family Holiday

The Whaler Resort and grounds were amazing. Extremely well maintained and managed. The location is conveniently right beside Whalers Village which we walked too often. The beach was perfect. The pool was lovely and well maintained. We travelled in June and did not have an issue ever getting a chair at the pool. Or a chair to take to the beach. The unit was good and worked well for us- a family of 3 w a 7 year old. Its location on the ground floor was so convenient and we enjoyed sitting on the patio which was shaded all day. The interior of the unit is dated, but the overall value of it was worth it. It is clean and neat and well stocked with the basics. The host Steven always answers messages in a timely manner and was very helpful.

Location!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Whaler. The location of the unit made it easy to hit the beach and pool. Restaurants and shops were in walking distance. The condo is very comfortable. It was bigger than expected and having two full baths was nice. We hope we can come back soon.

Great family getaway!

Came for a family vacation and didn't want to leave. This was the first time we've stayed in a condo in Kaanapali and it was such a great experience! We really enjoyed the size of the unit, looking out onto the grounds, bbq'ing with friends, and enjoying amazing sunsets from the Lanai! The ground floor location made it so easy to access, and to be just steps from the beach and the pool. Perfect location - close to all the stores and restaurants at Whaler's Village. Will definitely book again. Thank you Steven!!

Great Condo at the Whaler

This was a great 2+ week stay at The Whaler. We have been here many times but never in a ground floor condo. Ground floor location was very convenient and pleasant. No noise issues, either from quiet grounds crew ( they sweep the grass-no blowers!) or neighbors. Great condo with everything in working order. Enjoyed relaxing on the lanai and new beach chairs were terrific. We will definitely stay here again!

Best deal in the area!

The beach is fantastic and just outside your door. And since this unit is on the ground floor it's super easy to just grab a toy from the patio and head down to the beach! Additionally, there are plenty of things to do in the afternoon right next door at the mall with the shops and excellent restaurants for when you get tired of just lying on the beach. You won't need to pack or purchase a bunch of gear as everything you'll need to enjoy your time while at the resort is provided (sans your favorite alcohol). The rooms are large and everything you might need (silverware, plates, towels, etc.) are provided. And a new washer and dryer will keep you from making frequent trips to the laundry. All in all, very comfortable. Sure, it's not the swankiest place on the beach but it's clean, well appointed, comfortable, right in the middle of everything, and literally steps from the ocean. A fantastic deal and we both look forward to our next stay. The owner is super chill and easy to communicate with, and he offers some good tips to help you find things to do (besides being a beach bum).

Would highly recommend this property!

We have stayed at the Whaler for many years and look forward to visiting our home away from home. This property had everything we needed- surfboards, pool noodles, in-unit washer/dryer to name a few. We loved the ground level unit for our kids to play outside. Easier access to the beach and pool. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Fantastic location

This unit is on ground level with patio. Umbrella, chairs & towels provided. 20 yards from pool and beach . Most convenient VRBO location I have ever rented .Laundry in unit . Not a new unit but well kept and right next door to Whalers Village .

Whaler property is very nice. Very hard to get seat at pool! Stayed at this unit 15 years ago, unit the same, no upgrades. Badly in need of up dating and cleaning. First floor location is good, providing that there is no landscaping going on. They were doing extensive work on the lawn area during our stay! Not sure if I would stay there again

Wonderful stay in Maui

Our condo was in a fantastic location and getting in, out, quick walk to the beach and Whaler’s Village shopping and many fine restaurants. Condo was comfortable and we enjoyed it all.
