No. 24 is just 800m from the sea and 4km of ‘Blue Flag’ sandy beach, with lifeguard service in season. Take a leisurely walk along the broad promenade to the town centre and sample the great range of cafes, bars, restaurants and shops or stroll along the pier for a great view of Sete to the north and the Pyrenees to the south. In season, take the ferry across the River Orb and experience the wild beauty of Serignan plage. Bike hire is available by the beach and there are lovely routes through the vines and alongside the Canal du Midi. Away from the sea there is plenty to explore; kayaking and canoeing up river on the Orb, walking in the high Languedoc and history in nearby Beziers and easy access to the A9 makes Valras an excellent base if you want to explore further afield.
