Lovely 2 bedroom apartment, luxurious standard, in the very best Royal Mile location. Views onto Royal Mile. Every mod convenience. Designer fabrics, wallpapers, free wifi, internet tv, underfloor heating. Secure entry. Cosy & comfortable. 200 yards from Edinburgh Castle

This apartment can accommodate a maximum of 6 persons. There are two bedrooms; 1 king size double en suite with TV, one twin/double (can be configured either way at guest request), Double sofa bed in livingroom, 2nd bathroom. Bedrooms are peaceful and quiet at night. Open plan fully equiped kitchen/dining/livingroom with 3 windows looking directly onto Royal Mile/Lawnmarket. All windows in the property are double glazed. Bathrooms have under floor heating. There is gas central heating and free wifi. The property retains great period features; old stone fireplaces, exposed ancient stone walls; and yet provides all modern conveniences and striking decoration.

Situated in the historic Old Town of Edinburgh, this is the best place to stay in the city. The Old Town is a World Heritage site. Steeped in history, packed with museums, visitor attractions, specialty shops, restaurants and pubs. Edinburgh castle is 1 minute walk from your front door. This area of the city has a real buzz and is a joy to explore. This apartment is however in a peaceful location late at night with no nightclubs or noisy pubs. This a great place to stay anytime but a prime location during the Edinburgh Festival/Fringe or at New Year.

A new frying pan would be good. The Teflon coating in the present one is rough and coming away in patches. Avoided using it. Otherwise all good.

This was the perfect place for us (20, 22, 59). The location was extremely central - we could watch the goings-on on the Royal Mile from our dining room table, yet the two bedrooms were located near the back and were always quiet. I slept on the sofa, which was noisier at night, but also convenient for the early riser in your group with access to the kitchen. The wifi worked well, there was plenty of hot water for the two bathrooms, and we used the dishwasher and clothes washer a few times each with no issues (there's no dryer, but I think that's quite common in old town). The only challenge was walking up and down the four flights of the old and totally awesome stone spiral staircase. Our legs definitely got stronger through the week, and it was probably good for us! Many thanks to Paul and his brother Chris for the use of their wonderful apartment. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

A superb apartment located at the top of the Royal Mile, and perfect for stepping straight out into the heart of everything Edinburgh has to offer. From the apartment window you can even watch the Edinburgh military tattoo parade at the end of each night performance. One thing to note is the property is accessed by a stone spiral staircase, reminiscent of something you would find in a castle turret, which may be a struggle if you have mobility issues, or difficulty carrying cases etc.

Wonderful accommodations in a perfect location! Our family of four wanted to be in the heart of it all and could not have asked for a better spot. The apartment is spacious with every modern convenience and the owner was very responsive and helpful. The winding, medieval staircase is daunting, but the views of the Royal Mile are worth the workout!

Clean, attractive unit on 4th floor of historical building with front windows facing the Royal Mile. Great access to Old Town and easy/picturesque walk to New Town. We didn't take a single cab/car service while we were there, other than airport transfers. Quiet bedrooms. Updated/modern bathrooms and kitchen. Highly recommend. Note that accessing unit requires navigating 4 flights on spiral staircase.

Great location on the Mile.

Very nice apartment. You can walk everywhere in historic Edinburgh from here. Pubs, restaurants and shops close by. Ensign Ewarts pub right out the front alley is a great place to have a drink at the end of a busy day. You do have to walk up four flights of stairs but they are stone circular stairs that remind you of walking up into a castle with every step. So have fun with it. Would definitely stay here again.

Excellence on the Royal Mile

We arrived after 8.30pm and the check in was really smooth even with Lawnmarket clised due to construction we didnt have far to go.We absolutely loved the apartment the spiral staircase was a challenge but that really didnt dampen our stay. Paul was awesome to communicate with. We can't wait to come to Edinburgh our stay wasnt long enough.

Unique experience!

My husband and I, along with 2 adult children, stayed here for 3 nights. If you don’t mind 70 steps up a circular stone stairwell with no handrail past the first floor, you’ll love this apartment! Right in the heart of the Old Town and all the excitement. We loved it!

Edinburgh Adventures

We could not have asked for a more perfect location to spend three nights in Edinburgh. The apartment was very comfortable for our family of 5 and well appointed with everything we needed. Being on the Royal Mile and walking distance to everything on our list was amazing! The spiral staircase brought a smile to our face each day and could be a bit tricky after a nice late night dinner and a few drinks. But, we survived and loved every minute of our stay. We would definitely go back!

Excellent location but lots of stairs

Excellent location if you don’t mind a 4 story walk up. Not easy with a special needs child and lots of luggage. But place was good and neighborhood can’t be beat!! The host was good and location. Positive is the stairs help with any extra calories you may consume on Vacation!

Perfect location to explore Edinburgh

This apartment it self was absolutely perfect for us to be able to walk everywhere we hoped to go in 3 days. The only problem was navigating the stairs with suitcases. Paul was very accommodating and his Vrbo was immaculate, extremely comfortable and the view was amazing.

Can't beat location

Property clean, great location. Stayed with our adult daughter.Beds comfortable, better coffee pot would be great and limited towels, we had 2 apiece for a 3 night stay.Also stairs are a challenge, 4 flights, after long days we dreaded the stairs. But location is worth the minor inconviences. Its right in the heart of the Royal Mile

In Town for a Wedding

This property was perfect for our family of 4 in town for a wedding at Hopetoun House. I was initially concerned about potential noise from the street but it gets very quiet at night and it was quite peaceful. The apartment is lovely and updated. Thanks Paul for the early check in.

Senior Ladies’ trip

This property is lovely, quiet, and so close to everything…the hop on hop off is right there and lots of restaurants nearby. We stayed 3 nights and since we are a group of 5 utilized the sofa bed which was okay. The only concern we had was the stairway going up to the flat because there is no handrail past the first floor.

Large modern apartment towering over the royal mile

Loved this apartment for the modern and spacious interior in such a central location so close to Edinburgh Castle. Even the spiral stone staircase was fun to climb and gave us great views up and down the royal mile! I don't think there could be a more centrally placed self contained apartment in Edinburgh!

A great location and a very nice apartment. We had a very nice stay. Wouldn’t recommend it for anyone with mobility issues as the stone stairs are quite steep and four flights. Would recommend it
