Craftsman Cottage

In addition to the gorgeous appeal, this home was designed to make your stay as comfortable as possible including convenient parking and access. The home is a rare single-story property that can accommodate guests of all ages. There are about 10 steps from the parking area, leading down to the entrance. Both restrooms offer double sinks and separate toilet and shower areas. There is satellite base wifi and air conditioning as well. The master suite features a king-size bed, while the middle bedroom has two sets of twin-over-twin bunk beds, as well as a High Definition TV in case the children would like to have their own space to play video games or watch a movie. Satellite WiFi is available for free but is not fast enough for streaming and video calling. The front bedroom has a queen bed decorated with vintage decor, while the living room features a vaulted cottage-style plank ceiling, river rock fireplace, and a 60" 4K TV, complete with Blu-Ray player and satellite cable. The distressed dining table allows comfortable seating for 8 people. The fully stocked kitchen boasts a stylish farmhouse sink, quartz countertops, stainless steel appliances, and beadboard cabinets. Additionally, there is a dining table on the rear deck if you prefer to dine al fresco or simply wish to enjoy the mountain air and forest view. There is a gas BBQ if you would like to grill. The covered front porch features two very comfortable rocking chairs, perfect for sipping your morning coffee or tea.

This property is located INSIDE the gates of Yosemite National Park and is centrally located to many of the popular destinations including Yosemite Valley (20 minutes), Badger Pass Ski Area (15 minutes), and Wawona (20 minutes). For larger groups (up to 20 people), consider renting this home in conjunction with The River Rock Retreat, which is just a stone's throw away.

This cabin has 2 parking spots during the fall, winter, and spring months. During summer there are 3 parking spots.

The Craftsman Cottage is a very special home and will make your Yosemite experience the vacation of a lifetime.

Pristine home!

We had a fabulous trip to Yosemite and this home was perfection. It was extremely clean which was a wonderful contrast to the dusty trails we saw all day! We would have loved to stay longer if our schedule would have allowed. 11/10!

We had a wonderful stay at the cozy craftsman cottage. The house was great, it worked for our family with all three bedrooms and living spaces all being on one floor. This was especially nice for my mother who has mobility issues. There are over ten steep stairs from the parking to the house with a sturdy metal handrail, which was imperative for my mother’s access in and out of the home. The house had all the essentials for cooking our meals, a great dining table for games, and cozy couches for relaxing after a day in the park. The bunk room was perfect for my three children ages 13-26, having two sets of twin bunks was great! If we head to Yosemite in the future we would love to stay at this property again.

The house was perfect for a family get together. The kitchen was well appointed, and everyone had plenty of space. We weren't able to get the wifi password to work but found it worked for a nearby home, so we were able to get connected. We'd reported the issue to the property manager contact but didn't get a response. The single level home was really beneficial for some of our party, not easy to find in a rental home.

Wedding in Yosemite

Beautiful, well equipped home in Yosemite West. House is approximately 30 minutes from the valley floor. We stayed here for our daughter’s fall, Yosemite wedding. Spacious kitchen/great room, beds were comfortable with the exception of the bunk beds. They are probably fine for kids, not great for adults. Would definitely recommend!

Amazing Property/Great Location

We spent three days at the property and it was perfect for our trip. Close to the valley floor and easy to get back to. The house was wonderful and perfect for our family and friends.

Cute & Cozy

We loved our stay here! It’s so homey and comfortable! We had a party of 6 adults and there was plenty of room. The kitchen and bathrooms were well stocked. Don’t forget your own shampoo and conditioner. I would also bring some extra kitchen towels, just in case. Other than that all the amenities were there. The WiFi didn’t work for us and there was very spotty cell service, so be prepared. Made for a nice tech free weekend! Will be back for sure!

Very comfortable cottage

Property is in great condition and was perfect for our family. Everything worked great and the house was spotless. My advice is to bring the food you are going to need because there are not grocery or restaurant options nearby.

Lovely home conveniently located to Yosemite’s major attractions

We were overall very pleased with this home and had a very good experience dealing with the management group. The house is Very clean and very nicely decorated. The kitchen is very well stocked to accommodate most any family meal. A comfortable retreat that serves as a great home base after long days exploring Yosemite’s sites and attractions. The neighborhood is a great location for accessing the Valley and Southern ends of the park. The other reviews regarding the WiFi reliability and speed are accurate. However, Only a minor inconvenience because cell service isn’t available. Also noted that no AC meant the house was fairly hot during the day (July) and took a while to cool down in the evening, but certainly not unbearable. A couple more fans In the house would have helped.

Wonderful stay - and the WiFi works fine!

This property is just as nice as depicted in the photos. A great balance between stylish, casual and comfortable. Great location inside the boundaries of the park. The place was very clean and everything inside is in excellent condition. The kitchen has all the appliances and utensils and other stuff you could want - including a griddle for pancakes. And as mentioned in the title, the WiFi worked fine for us even though we didn’t expect that based on the comments from others. We would not change a thing.

Wonderful house

The house is really wonderful and very clean. About 30 min. drive to the Park. The only thing that we missed was the A/C. It was very hot in july.

Excellent stay, with one exception

Super clean, well layed out, great location. Description of amenities were spot on with the exception of the Wi-Fi. Very minimal to no service in the house. Limited to 500 MB per day. Very frustrating when trying to comfirm travel plans and locations of daily activities. Also, beware that the air condition did not exist. The house was very hot upon arrival.

We loved the house. Very clean and cute. We would have loved some board games and recycling, otherwise it had everything we needed. Oh yea....the WiFi did not work so we didn’t know we would wake up to snow.....especially since cellular service didn’t work as well.

Absolutely beautiful!

The home was beautiful, spacious and very clean. Yosemite destinations were close by. The area is very quiet. I would love to stay here again. To future renters who may arrive late at night, make sure to bring the property map as the roads are confusing when you are tired and it is dark outside.

Beautiful Mountain retreat

We stayed at the Craftsman Cottage for a week and loved the house. The house is very clean, bright and well decorated with a lot of attention to detail. We appreciated that the entire house had "hardwood" floors, so there were no dirty carpets (as we've found in other VRBO rentals). The house is in a quiet, residential neighborhood. We enjoyed the fireplace with the gas starter and the grill on the deck. We appreciated that the house was stocked with a few basic supplies that were enough to last our entire stay: coffee, hot chocolate, TP, Kleenex, soap, shampoo, laundry detergent, dishwasher soap, kitchen bags. One caveat: the drive to the nearest store, gas station, restaurant, Yosemite valley and the nearest town is down a winding (but very scenic) mountain road, so those not familiar with mountain driving will want to be home by dark. The only improvement we would make to the house is covering the exterior windows in the showers with privacy film and putting draperies on the living room windows for privacy. Otherwise, we found the house to be perfect, and the rental company was very helpful, responsive, and easy to deal with.

Clean and beautiful but no air conditioner

Very beautiful house/kitchen with everything you need for cooking. However there is no air conditioner. It is very hot from noon to dawn. Two of us have to sleep in the living room because the room is very hot. The wifi is not working either which is fine with us since we have tried to spend more time enjoying the beauty of the nature. FYI for those people who rely on wifi a lot: we did contact the property manager regarding the wifi and they respond quickly. They came to check the connection quickly for which we appreciate so much but the wifi is still not working the whole stay. They offer the free wifi at their office site but the connection/signal is very weak and unstable.

Beautiful Home In A Quiet Setting

This is a lovely home with all amenities you need for a relaxed stay. The home is one story; however, the entry does have about 12 steps to access the house that could be challenging for anyone with a disability. The rooms were large and the kitchen is well appointed and light and bright. It is close to the attractions in Yosemite Valley (about 15-20 mins). We were there with 5 adults and 2 children under 12. The rooms were ideal for the size of our party and the two bathrooms were very appreciated. Thank you for a lovely stay.
