Hodnett Cooper vacation rentals is pleased to present this 3 bedroom, 2 bath fabulous cottage on St. Simons Island, GA for short term, weekly, or monthly rental. Entry into this single level home features a large open room with kitchen, dining and living area all in one. The central updated kitchen provides the perfect setting for cooking and interacting with your family or guests. A large comfortable screened in porch provides further area for relaxing or entertaining.

Down the hallway are the 3 bedrooms and 2 completely refurbished bathrooms with the master featuring a fully tiled walk in shower. There are Spanish tile floors throughout the common areas giving the house a cool look with carpeting in the bedrooms.

In addition to the great outdoor space you will find a private saltwater pool and outdoor shower perfect for cooling off on those hot summer days.

A gas grill perfect for an afternoon or evening meal.

Please be advised there is an exterior surveillance device that monitors the pool equipment, not the pool itself.

613 Sheraton Plaza is a short walk to the beach and just a few blocks to the village which includes an array of boutique style shops and a variety of restaurants from casual to upscale dining. The village is also home to the lighthouse, fishing pier and wonderful oceanfront picnic area. The Neptune Park Fun Zone has a miniature golf course, state of the art playground and pool(open summer only).

Would definitely stay again. The management company (Hognett Cooper) had their operations all set up and every interaction with them was smooth and easy. Plus the beach gear as complimentary service was excellent surprise.We have stayed at many VRBO and I would have to say that this property had most kitchen items (and decent starter TP).Where is now a polywood table and chairs in the screen porch. And a brand new vinyl fence not depicted in any of the photos as of review. The pool behind the house was clean and it was protected from the windy days. A private little oasis. (Would have paid to heat the pool a bit in Fall, but not an option).Super pet friendly house and primary bedroom had plenty of floor space for dog beds.I stated in one of the previous reviews there is a elementary school behind. Buses run on other side of fence and you can hear children playing at recess during school year. This wouldn't prevent us from staying at this lovely property again.You can make to beach by foot or golf cart.Thanks to the lovely host and management company.

Great Location to Beach and Pier Market

Spent a week at this cottage and it was perfect..5 min walk to beach and 10 min walk to pier market. Safe neighborhood and pet friendly would stay here again!

Spring break trip

Great house, great neighborhood and neighbors! Awesome neighborhood for morning walks, close to the beach (we used a golf cart, but you could definitely walk to the beach) and a quick bike ride to Mallory Street. Loved the gear rental credit from the management company, a great added value. Two, improvements for me would be to heat the pool (heater there but locked, and not available for use) and the box springs on the beds were very noisy, Anytime a person got up out of bed it would wake up the other person in the room. Or even just sleep tossIng and turning would make a good bit of noise

In The heart of SSI

OK, Here is an honest review, know we have had extended stays here on SSI the last 5 springs so have stayed at 5 different places and worked with a number of rental companies so… Hodnett Cooper Vacation rentals - We had a couple of issues when we first arrived and HC’s response was immediate. They are responsive and pleasant - Grade AHome - is dog friendly and is very comfortable. Kitchen is well stocked with dish wear etc. One note is the bath off the “master suite” has been redone but is very small. Furniture is utilitarian but overall the home itself is cozy - Grade BYard - is by far the best outside space we have seen. Landscaping, pool, privacy fence etc Grade AElectronics - Wifi is solid however the TV is awful. Not that anyone coming here should be inside watching TV but NCAA mens BB tournament and the Masters are something I want to be able to watch on a big screen in HD. Grade D-Location - Walking distance to everything, beach, restaurants, the park, pickle ball etc. However it is located right behind the elementary school which means if you are here when school is in session, at 8:00AM bells and busses show up and around 10:00AM the peals of childish laughter (or depending on your point of view the sound of bloody murder) from recess start. It did not bother us and was actually entertaining at times but that’s an individual thing Grade - B-Overall grade solid B

Great little house. Beautiful pool even though it was too cool to use it. Nice friendly neighborhood and was convenient to everything.

Weekend get away

It is described very well. Home is clean and located on a quiet street. Only negative is all the beds have boxsprings or mattersses that are LOUD and squalk when you move. They were not comfortable at all. The pool area was amazing and the space was perfect. The last downside is there are no ice trays or icemaker so bring a bacmg of ice with you.

Wonderful Cottage, but Ten Feet from Construction Site (Spring 2023)

We stayed in this cottage the first week of April 2023. It was a wonderful property for our family of four, in a quiet neighborhood and only a 4-5 minute walk from the beach. The pool in the back is lovely and a wonderful place to hang out when needing a break from the beach. However….the property backs onto an elementary school, where a new wing is being constructed. For four days of our stay, there was a cacophony of bulldozers, front loaders, cement trucks and workers, arriving as early as six am, and working just on the other side of the fence, about ten feet away. They woke us up early and made it impossible to enjoy the pool. There was no mention of this work on VRBO.com or the rental agency site. The rental agency was very sympathetic and extremely helpful in contacting the property owner to secure a discount on our stay, which was very appreciated. Apparently, demolition and construction has not been consistent and the owner was not aware that work was being done during our stay. Still - notice should be provided on the listing that construction work is a likely occurrence for the near future and will impact renters’ stay and experience.

Amazing location, gorgeous pool.

House and yard were exactly as described, and pool was immaculate (and heated, which was awesome). Check in/out & communication beforehand great. There was no soap or trash bags which I thought odd, but might have missed that. Only negative was the house could use a good deep clean/minor repairs (bathroom faucets, a light was burnt out, etc). I'm sure it head to do with it being end of season for check ins.

Needs Price Adjustment

We travel often and almost always use VRBO. We are also in real estate sales and property management. In our opinion the home is not worth the price being charged. We expected much more for the price point. The house needs a very deep clean. Spiders and webs in the corners - floor and ceiling. Broken blinds. Fan in master bath wakes up the entire house. Needs more pots. No salt and pepper. Only one half used roll of paper towels. No extra trash bags. No additional amenities whatsoever - shampoo, conditioner, etc. Large outdoor trash container was full from previous guests with no room for our own trash and full of maggots. No dish soap or cleaning no supplies. BBQ tongs were hanging on grill and dirty. Microwave was dirty. Pool waterfall never came on. The master bathroom is extremely small. Location was nice amongst nice homes. It backs on the run down portion of the elementary school. Beautiful large moss draped trees hang over the home. They have clearly put all the focus on the backyard which was done nicely. Really need the main tv to be a smart tv or have a roku so people can access their streaming accounts. It was ok. Disappointed with allot. House has tons of potential. Will look elsewhere for our next trip to SSI.

Fantastic House close to Town

We loved this house! The pool was amazing! Great shower in the master! New appliances ! Comfortable living room and dining area The screened porch is a plus. The neighborhood is quiet. We loved sitting at the pool and watching the birds in the live oaks around the property. Cant wait to go back

Comfortable home for the week

We spent around 1.5 weeks here with our two children. Sadly it was a bit early in the season for the pool but the house had everything we needed. It was within an easy walk of restaurants and the beach. Would rent it again.

Beach cottage

This was a much needed getaway for our family of 7. Our first trip to St. Simmons Island was quick but memorable and this little cottage was an amazing space to kick back on the patio, in the pool, or on the couch. Close to the beach, walking distance to the shops and restaurants. Excellent experience. Would definitely recommend and and stay again.

Cute place - great location

We had a wonderful time in SSI. This house was located right in the heart of the island. Walking distance to the beach and main strip. Inside was very clean and all the beds were very comfortable. A few things to note when staying: 1. The front door lock needs to be changed. It got stuck and was very hard to open and close. Felt like it was truly never locked. 2. The side entrance off the pool had no access into the kitchen if the door was locked. You have to go through the front door to open the side door which was weird. 3. No access to filter water from the fridge or ice in the freezer. So you must bring water bottles which defeats the purpose of wasting on plastic bottles. 4. The stove was very sensitive. I swear it turned on by itself. My only 2 cons were 1. We had just walked into the house and 5 minutes later a man knocked on the door to fix a screen door. We had no idea someone was coming. Notice would have been nice since we really couldnt confirm who he was. 2. The pool guy just showed up while the girls were about to hop into the pool. Again notice would have been nice. I understand since its always booked that contractors come by. However notice would have been appreciated. I was texted multiple times about checking and and if everything was good so there is communication. Overall minor things. Great time

Quite street, close to local downtown & private pool!

The location was great for enjoying the downtown area but being far enough away for a quite getaway. Also walkable to beaches! The private pool & screened in porch was a huge plus. We did have a bit of a challenge with the front door lock. Also would have been nice if the “starter” of toilet paper & garbage liners included at least one replacement. Overall however this did not impact our positive experience and would definitely react this house again if returning to St. Simons Island!

lovely cottage!

Just right for us--pool is a good size, yard has high fence for dog, outdoor shower has hot water, place is beautifully located, and has lovely porch in a relaxing neighborhood. just right!

A true gem

What a lovely stay in this cottage. Clean, classy, well equipped and cozy. I cannot find any flaw. It is now in my “preferred” list. Communication and service with Hodnett and Cooper was impeccable.

Great location!

This was an adorable, clean, and well-appointed home on a quiet side street in SSI. The home is just over a half mile from the village, and it’s an easy walk via side streets. It’s just a 0.3 mile walk to the beach at the 5th Street Public access point. (It’s also close to the 3rd Street access point.) Noon was a great time to take a walk on the beach with our dog during low tide. The pictures don’t do the home justice, and the carpet in the bedrooms has been replaced with much nicer gray vinyl flooring. The kitchen has stainless appliances and a variety of dishes, utensils, and cookware. It even has a Keurig machine, but bring your own k-cups. We especially loved the comfort and style of the family room. FYI - The home is surrounded by trees, and the live oak trees were continually dropping acorns onto the aluminum roof, which got pretty loud. I expect this would occur primarily in the fall, when the trees are shedding. And the trees are everywhere, so you’d likely have the same experience if you stay at another home in this area. If I had one complaint, it would be the lock on the front door. It’s a keyed lock on both sides, and the lock was sticky with the humidity. It’s very inconvenient to need a key just to lock/unlock the door from the inside. I would suggest changing the lock with a coded entry system and interior bolt that is easier to lock/unlock, and safer for the occupants to exit quickly, if needed.

We had the best time! This cute little cottage was the perfect place for a getaway with girlfriends. You can walk everywhere or just hang by the pool!
