A traditionally furnished barn conversion based on a small countryside estate between Chatsworth and Chesterfield. Great walks and nature trails from the door.. All on the Ground Floor:

Bedroom 1: Double (4ft 6in) Bed

Bedroom 2: 2 x Single (3ft) Beds

Shower Room: Walk-In Shower, Toilet. Oil central heating, electricity, bed linen and towels included. Cot and highchair. Garden with garden furniture. Patio. Open parkland. Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking. Visit England 4 Star.. Delightful adjoining holiday cottage with easy access, lattice French windows and a Tourist Information Kiosk. Chestnut Cottage opens on to a south facing patio. Situated close to owner’s country house and small estate on the rising hills of the Eastern Park between Chatsworth and Chesterfield. Relax in tranquillity or walk from the door over surrounding grassland to Linacre Reservoirs and Nature Trails. Moors, escarpments and panoramic views are 3 minutes away. A short drive takes you to Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall and Hardwick Hall. Historic market towns include Chesterfield, Bakewell, Matllock and Matlock Bath. Riding, golf, fishing and sports centre, 3 miles away. Shop 2 miles, pub ¼ mile.

Chestnut Cottage can be booked together with Willow Cottage (ref 13864) to accommodate up to 6 guests.

What a beautiful cottage. Very spacious and everything you need for a good holiday. The landlord is very helpful and kind. Very good value for money. We hope to be able to go back again. Can't fault it in any way.

Lovely cottage.

Lovely cottage. Very well stocked. Beautiful surroundings. Very quiet. Set well back from the road, never heard any traffic though we didn't sit outside! The owner, Mr Green, was very helpful. The local scenery was lovely. All in all, thoroughly enjoyable and we will be back. Only little moan i can think of was the shower water pressure was a little slow, didn't stop us using it though!

Excellent location managed to do a different walk every day - was not overly busy so that for us was good as we are all social distancing - all though very rural we were only 3 miles from Chesterfield so good for groceries etc - owner of the cottage was very pleasant too! Was absolutely beautiful relaxing very comfortable. A little farm noise but was on a farm. Walks was breath taking. mattlock & Bakewell very near, such pretty villages. Shops just a car ride away. Would definitely recommend & hopefully wish too go back

Chestnut Cottage was exactly as described had everything you wanted for a comfortable stay . Cottage was clean owner very nice did not intrude on us but was available if needed . Welcoming tea tray and biscuits most welcoming after long journey . Location just right to explore the beauty of the Peak District would thoroughly recommend and would come back again in the future .
