Excellent bird watching, golf, bowling and fishing available. Plenty of coastal and inland cycle routes and excellent walking along quiet lanes and designated footpaths are direct from the doorstep. The beach is perfect for families, playing in the sandy pools, building sandcastles or beach tennis and body boarding. Dogs are permitted along the beach all year round, with an area designated dog-free during the summer months. Nearby places of historical interest include Blicking Hall (NT), Sheringham Park, and Cromer pier with its end of pier show. The city of Norwich is excellent for shopping malls, theatre, cathedral and the castle museum is 30 minutes away. The Norfolk Broads, 30 minutes’ drive away offers daily boat hire and river trips.
