Ideal for an active holiday, this cottage is close to horse riding, golf and a waterpark offering plenty of watersports.. Ground Floor:

Bathroom: Bath With Shower Over, Toilet. Gas central heating, gas, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Travel cot and highchair available on request. Welcome pack. Enclosed, lawned garden with garden furniture and barbecue. Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking.. This charming, semi-detached, Victorian holiday cottage is conveniently situated only a couple of minutes walk from the centre of the delightful market town of Fordingbridge, which is known for its medieval bridge with five arches, as well as its local independent shops, eateries and church. Enjoying its own enclosed, lawned garden and two private car parking spaces, Bert’s Cottage is named after the owner of the property. Ideal for families or couples, there is so much to do locally for all ages, including a waterpark close by for windsurfing, sailing, fishing and watersports. There is also horse riding and golf in the area. Also nearby is a family campsite which allows visitors to use their indoor pool, Jacuzzi and bike hire. There are many scenic walks within easy reach, some of which meander along the River Avon which runs from nearby Salisbury to Christchurch. There are beaches at Bournemouth, Sandbanks and Poole, and the New Forest National Park offers excellent walking. There are day trips to the Isle of Wight from Lymington and there is also the Beaulieu Museum to visit. Also within easy reach are the cathedral cities of Winchester and Salisbury, Christchurch Harbour, and family days out such as Marwell Zoo with Peppa Pig World, historic ships at Southampton and the New Forest Wildlife Park. Shop, pub and restaurant 300 yards.

We had a wonderful stay at this cottage.

We had a wonderful stay at this cottage. The house has a friendly feeling and the accommodation was clean, comfortable and well equipped. Fordingbridge is well located for exploring both the New Forest and the coast. The cottage has the added advantage of being in walking distance of the shops. We appreciated the fact that there was allocated parking for two cars.

Our 6th stay at Bert's as this cottage is just perfect for all our needs.

Our 6th stay at Bert's as this cottage is just perfect for all our needs. Dog friendly, off road parking for 2 cars, easy walking distance into Fordingbridge with it's shops, cafe's, pubs & take aways. You are only a few minutes drive away from New Forest and about 35 mins to the South Coast. Bert's is spacious so ideal for families especially with the secure garden.Great communication with the owner. We will definately be back again later in the year.

This is the first time we stayed in the area and when we return Bert’s Cottage would be our first choice. The interaction and communication from the owner was first class and we easily found the cottage The cottage was well located within short walking distance of town for any of your daily needs and short driving distance to coast and new forest The cottage was bigger than we expected and had all amenities for a family to relax and enjoy their holiday We definitely recommend this cottage to anyone looking to book a holiday in this area

Berts offers everything you need for a holiday cottage in the New Forest. This is our 7th visit to Berts as the location is perfect for the amenities close by and for walking in the New Forest. Safe parking, secure garden, perfect for families. Berts is very dog friendly. We have brought our lab here since she was a pup. Berts is a spacious family house with everything you need. It's warm & cosy if staying out of season. Communication is always great with the owner prior to your visit. We can definately recommend Berts.

Lovely home and close to all amenities, this is what my daughter told me. My daughter, son-in-law and grandson went on the holiday. My husband and I should have gone too, unfortunately we couldn't due to the Covid-19 regulations that two households couldn't meet. These were the regulations put in place by our local council. The owner of the property very kindly phoned us at home to pass on relevant information. The only other comment from my daughter was the property was a bit damp. Some of the equipment does need updating and checking for damage (eg number of chipped glasses + only 3 wine glasses) but overall good.
