in my own review, I did not recommend Kelly as a good guest. She was negative and unappreciative of this historic Woodstock house from the starry, a house as advertised filled with original priceless art works as well as Parisian antiques, like the one-of-a kind French dining table that has opened up to many fabulous meals by my renown-chef husband, once a New York City restauranteur. The extensive gardens and state of the art new in-ground heated pool make this a delightful place to rest and take refuge from the noise of the world. Everything except the recently broken Bay window (as I told her, requiring major construction as the entire side of the house must be replaced by a new three-window unit and wall with shelf, so this is slated for fall) is exactly as advertised. What does this mean—that the bathroom is on the first floor and unsafe?’ There is nothing unsafe about this bathroom!! And of course it is on the first floor as it is a one-story house. This is griping to a ridiculous degree. It has a gorgeous antique claw foot bathtub for luxurious soaks — just as advertised! For people who love luxurious soaking. And the kitchen was cleaned down to every dish by my super. Longt professional housekeeper. I don’t know how Kelly coujd say that the kitchen was unclean. It has beautiful Italian granite counters, old wooden cupboards — definitely not cheap stuff and a new invective oven-stove! Kelly is the kind of guest who looks for the negative, rather than enjoying what is offered. She makes molehills of mud out of tiny defects, due to the antiques and a pretty negative attitude. I hope for guests who enjoy large gardens, a luxurious pool,, walking to our beautiful village across the gorgeous forest and creek, waking up to birdsongs, and who loves history, art, and antiques. If you are looking for a lux house, this one is not for you. That is made clear in the description. If you have an eye for beauty, design, and nature, please come and experience the property.
