Elegant bedrooms, 5 kings,1 queen, 1 bedroom with two sets of bunk beds, loft with two twin beds, two kitchens, 5 fireplaces, 16 luxury seat theatre, pool table, ping pong table, game room, 2000 ft pavilion, 4 levels of decks, two dining areas that seat 12-21. Private setting. Less than 3 miles to heart of Highlands. Each room has television and coffeemakers. Fully equipped with linens and both kitchens completely stocked with dishes, silverware, pots, pans, kitchen linens, and more. We can also arrange a private chef who will come and cook for you or do an interactive cooking class with your group. Private wine tastings can also be arranged.

The house is truly majestic and so are the views. Janet (the concierge/manager) was also wonderful. The game room was perfect for our family of 15 to be entertained and eat together. The kitchens are well appropriated and the beds are comfortable. The fireplaces are easy to use and it's close to town. The alarm system is a bit of a pain and quite talkative, but we didn't let it affect our good time!

The Highlands Chateau is a magical place! Janet welcomed us with so much hospitality and information that she set us up for an outstanding holiday. The views are unsurpassed and the home accommodates our large family better than any other location. From the movie room to the pool table to the mountain views everyone had an amazing time. The perfect place for our Dental school reunion! Huge game room with everything you can possibly imagine!! Bedrooms all beautiful equipped with coffee stations and robes in each private bath! Janet, our concierge was fabulous and met us for check in to show us how everything worked. Highly recommend staying here!! We’ll be back next year! And you can’t beat the view!!

Absolutely stunning from views to wonderful house itself…very clean…everything you will need fully stocked. Our family had so much fun. The house is centrally located to all the hiking easy drive into town golfing waterfalls. So much to do to keep you having fun in the house as well. The game room is huge and full of fun game tables to arcade machines kitchen and huge sitting areas throughout. All I can say is book it. You won’t regret.

We celebrated my husband’s 75th birthday with a surprise stay including our entire family. The Chateau is the perfect place providing luxury accommodations as well as entertainment including a movie theater. The views are breathtaking and the house is beautifully furnished and totally equipped. The manager is readily available and accommodating

Great family property

We have been staying at the Chateau for our family vacation for 4 years. I thought it was time to leave another review as the home has a few updates – new decking/railing and fire pit. The fire pit area is absolutely beautiful and we enjoyed it on multiple nights. The railing makes the mountains easier to see when you’re sitting! Some of the decor and carpet in this home are a bit dated, but you really don’t care because of the cleanliness, gorgeous views and overall comfortable feel of this home. We also appreciate Janet and her professionalism and responsiveness. Always a great experience!

Best View in the Highlands

We used the Château to celebrate a birthday and had 15 people ranging in the age of 3 1/2 to 80. All had excellent accommodations and bathrooms. We had a great week in the Highlands. I highly recommend this wonderful place!

Ringing in the New Year

The main house was great - plenty of room in each bedroom (and all had en-suite baths) and our party of 6 couples was able to spread out. Kitchen was well appointed and dining area in the main house was plenty big for us. Then we moved to what we affectionately called the “conference center” which was a whole other living area on its own. We spent a ton of time there cooking (full kitchen including grill), game area, and just a fun place to relax. Lauren was a great host - met us at the property to check us in and was super responsive throughout. Got to go off property a few times doing local hikes (Whiteside Mtn - you can see the house!), and even went to Cherokee one afternoon to hit the casino. Great trip - would definitely return!

Amazing home!

The views from this house are breathtaking! House itself is unique and free-flowing with ample spaces for fun and fellowship. Location is just minutes from Highlands. Property management team were outstanding. They made everything so easy!

Spectacular Stay

The Highlands Château has an outstanding mountain view, common rooms that accommodate large families very easily, including a table that can seat 20, and comfortable, luxurious bedrooms. Our family can’t wait to come back. The experience and service is unparalleled.

Bridal Party

Janet made our check-in seamless and informative due to the size of the house. She was extremely pleasant and took good care of us! She also made us feel extremely welcome with wine, food and a cake! The house was very clean and well stocked. It is perfect for large groups with sufficient and large en-suite bedrooms which is hard to find. The house is also very unique due to its roots - very interesting memorabilia. Lots of things to keep a group busy - including the movie room which is 'crazy cool' :-) AND the view - amazing! I can't wait for another event so we can rent the house again!! Thank you Janet (and the owners) for everything!!

Great house with awesome views

We stayed in Chateau with a group of 6 couples and WOW...just WOW! This house is so much fun and the views are breathtaking. This is our second time renting this property and we're already talking about going back next year. The house is super clean, well appointed, very comfortable for a large group. Highly recommend it!

Great family reunion

The Chateau was perfect for our family reunion. We had plenty of space for everyone. The property and location are beautiful and just as described. We had excellent communication with the property manager. We would love to return again in the future.

The best VRBO experience ever

This was the most incredible VRBO experience I’ve ever had. Communication prior to arrival was wonderful, we arrived and were met with charcuterie, a cake, and a bottle of my favorite wine. The house is spectacular. Every room was perfection and the bathrooms were amazing (my husband is still raving about the water pressure). The game room is unlike anything I’ve ever seen. I think the guys will be missing the Golden Tee more than anything. I really can’t rave enough about our experience. I will find another excuse to come to Highlands just to stay in this house again. Thank you so much for a wonderful time.

3rd Stay

Fantastic house for a large group! Third stay here - this time with 6 couples. Plenty of room and gorgeous views. The new fire pit was a hit too. Janet is a fantastic host, going way above and beyond. We’ll be back again soon.

Magical Place

This is truly a magnificent place to stay. The views from the many balconies and full size windows are spectacular. The bedrooms and bathrooms are large and well appointed. In addition to the main living area, there is a large adjoining "Pavilion" with its own kitchen, bar, huge dining table, and entertainment areas (pool table, ping pong table, jukebox, video games, etc.). On top of that, there is a serious home theatre room downstairs with an extensive DVD collection. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this special place.

Absolutely incredible!

The pictures do not do this Incredible property justice. It was the perfect amount of space, never felt crowded and so much room to gather as a group. We absolutely loved the fire pit, The weather could not have been better, so the views were amazing. If you are on the fence about this property, do not hesitate, it will absolutely exceeded your expectations. We will 100% be back, and thank you, Janet, for your incredible hospitality!

We can also arrange a private chef who will come and cook for you or do an interactive cooking class with your group. Private wine tastings can also be arranged.
