Your own 2/1 HOUSE with large GARDENS and remodeled CHEF’S KITCHEN in West LA
A quiet neighborhood with tree lined streets and nice houses in the middle of busy West LA.
A CLEAN and BRIGHT air-conditioned 1260 sq. ft. double master FREE STANDING HOUSE all to yourself, with queen beds, walk-in closets, wood floors, nice TV entertainment setups in every room, washer/dryer, and parking. Large remodeled chef’s kitchen stocked with all the tools, 2 coffee makers (drip and French press), a dishwasher, and a large dining room with dining table for 4 (and 2 extra chairs). Large front and back GARDENS (shared*) with a rear porch that has a lit seating area, gas grill, and small outdoor fire pit (with wood!). Cable internet with WiFi, cable TV, Blu-Ray DVD player, and access to Netflix, Hulu, etc. in every room. Living room has a wood burning FIREPLACE (with wood!), Dolby 5.1 Surround Sound built into the walls, a bay window looking onto the street, and a queen sized fold out couch with bedding. High-end bedding in every room.
2 off street parking spaces (tandem front to back), 1 free overnight street permit available upon request (tons of street parking due to parking restrictions and necessary permits to park). Daily parking passes available for more cars at $2.50 per car per day.
5 min. WALK to Landmark Cinema (one of the best movie theaters in LA), Westside Pavilion Mall, and all the great restaurants on Pico near Westwood Blvd.
9 min. WALK to new Expo Line Rail (Expo/Sepulveda Station) that will take you to the beach in Santa Monica, Downtown Los Angeles, Hollywood, or The Valley via the rail system.
8-15 min. drive to UCLA, Century City, Santa Monica, Culver City, Beverly Hills.
* Gardens shared ONLY with owner/tenant of Office/Studio with separate keyed access along the side of the house. The BBQ, back porch, and fire pit are for the guest only.
We take COVID-19 seriously and are following guidelines from the CDC, State of CA, and City and County of Los Angeles, and rental listing sites for cleaning and sanitizing procedures. We have always had contactless check in. We always used sanitizing cleaning products containing bleach on the kitchen (counters, sink, fridge, stove, etc.) and bathroom (literally every surface). We now also sanitize high-touch areas such as door knobs, light switches, remotes, all table tops, cabinet knobs, etc. The housekeeper wears a new mask and gloves for each cleaning service. We will continue to monitor updates to cleaning and sanitizing guidelines and recommendations and adjust accordingly.
The detailed stats:
Each bedroom has: -Queen bed (800+ thread count sheets and down comforter with white cotton comforter cover, all washed for each guest). -Large flat screen TV (with Time Warner Cable 70+ channel package and Smart DVD player giving you access to your Netflix, Hulu, Youtube, etc (login required). -Walk in closet with plenty of storage. -Large window (back room looks out onto the garden and the front bedroom looks through garden onto street).
Kitchen has: -A dishwasher, full dishes and utensils for up to 8 people including wine glasses, placemats, steak knives, etc. -Calphalon cook set, set of kitchen knives (Calphalon/Oneida/Cuisinart), cooking utensils, mixing bowls, dish towels, etc. -Plenty of trash bags, paper towels, dish soap, dishwasher soap, salt and pepper, olive oil, etc. -Tea kettle, drip coffee maker, and French press. -Full sized side-by-side refrigerator/freezer, plenty of food storage cabinets. -6 burner stove with large oven and hood, microwave, toaster. -Flat screen TV (32” class) hidden under counter with cable (no DVD or streaming).
Living Room has: -Large flat screen with Dolby 5.1 Surround Sound and hookup for your music device or phone. -Wood burning fireplace with wood (may be outside). -Queen sized pull out couch with bedding. -Large bay window looking onto street.
Dining room has: -Dining table for 4, with 2 extra chairs.
Back porch/garden: -Seating for 4 on porch (plus another chair), fire pit with seating for 2-8, day bed in garden. -Gas grill with side burner, BBQ tools, spare propane fuel tank. -Rose garden in center (bloom varies) and fruit trees around the edges including lemon, orange, green apple, loquat, passion fruit, nectarine (front garden), and a 150 sq. ft. vegetable garden. Gardens are seasonal, so no guarantees, but if you can pick it you can have it (please take only what you eat).
Bathroom is spotless and has plenty of fresh towels and TP.
No smoking in the house, no pets, no parties, no kids under 8. Maximum 6 overnight guests. Maximum 15 people allowed on the property at any given time (not including owner/tenant). Quiet neighborhood, quiet hours are 10:30p-7a Sun-Thurs., 11:30p-9a Fri. & Sat.

UCLA Move in!
We stayed here while we moved my daughter to UCLA. The house was cozy, kitchen had everything we needed to make a few meals and was nice to have a parking spot. Would stay here again if in the area!

Very cozy and comfortable for 5 with ample sleeping arrangements and a beautiful English Secret Garden in the backyard! All amenities included and a well stocked kitchen with lots of seating options.

Fantastic location, smooth process.
The owner went out of his way to make sure our stay was without any issues. Fantastic kitchen, beds were comfortable. Nice quiet street. Was able to walk to a great bar with food and live jazz. Very convenient to UCLA. Wish we had a longer stay but will most likely be back!

Great House in Perfect Location
This is the second time we’ve stayed here and it was just as nice as last time. Quiet, clean, comfortable with a great layout for our family gathering with adult children. Communication was easy and Brian includes nice touches like plenty of soft fluffy towels and complete kitchen supplies.

Amazing cottage
We really enjoyed this rental. Owner was attentive, and quick to respond. Location was perfect for visiting UCLA, and central to most things we needed to do in LA. We also had two people working remotely, and it was great. Patio was beautiful, and the WiFi held strong. Would absolutely book this again.

Everything we needed & great communication from host
Brian’s place is great - wonderfully soft bed linen and towels and super comfy beds. The sofabed in the sitting room was a great third bedroom for my 7yr old. The kitchen was really well appointed and location great for getting around LA. Brian was an extremely responsive host and super helpful including by phone on the evening we arrived. Would recommend to anyone!

Perfect for UCLA graduation
We stayed at this charming house for UCLA graduation - parents, grandparents and sibling and it was a great set up for five adults. The neighborhood was cute and it was easy to get around. The kitchen was easy to cook in and the yard was perfect for evening cocktails. Comfortable beds and great shower! Very helpful and friendly host. I would recommend this home for a longer weekend in LA, we loved it.

Gem of a home in perfect West Los Angeles location
This home is lovingly maintained and furnished. Quiet setting with very comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen, plentiful towels. Fruit trees and roses in the garden. Even more lovely than described on the website. Very easy communication with owner. Quick access to the 10 and 405 as well as UCLA, Culver City and Santa Monica. Would love to stay again.

Open, spacious, home. Excellent kitchen and beds.
We enjoyed the light-filled house and lovely gardens, front and back. Superb and well equipped kitchen. Firm, large beds. Heating was uneven from room to room, but our visit was during a cold, breezy, January week. We would visit again, but in warmer weather. Lovely neighborhood for walking!

Great House! Great Location!
We spent 9 nights in this great house over Christmas 2022! Spacious and comfy with lovely back yard and patio. Easy access to everything LA. Safe neighborhood for walking. Off street parking made it all easy. Working with owner was VERY easy and pleasant. Would definitely rent again! Thanks Brian!

Very Pleasant and Comfortable Stay
We spread out and really enjoyed our 3 nights at Brian's house in West L.A. The two bedrooms are very comfortable and we slept well. Despite 3-4 of us being around the single bathroom was not a problem and the shower had excellent hot water and pressure. We didn't cook at all but the kitchen is very well appointed with lots of room in the fridge. We couldn't get the TVs to work despite the detailed instructions but we weren't there to watch TV anyway. Very much enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it to others.

Wonderful Home
Brian was a fantastic host. He responded quickly to questions. This home was ideal. Great location. Was within a half-hour of most places we wanted to see in LA, including the airport. It was amazingly quiet even though it was in the heart of the second-largest city in the country. The street was very lightly trafficked and the backyard was so quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed sitting out there reading in the morning and afternoon. The kitchen was well-stocked with up-to-date plates, glasses, silverware and cookware. We would definitely stay here again.

Great location and adorable house!
Brian was super responsive and easy to communicate with from the moment we booked. He was flexible when we had to slightly change our dates and answered all my questions before arrival. He even sent detailed check in instructions the day before arrival since he knew he'd be on a plane when we got to the house. The house is in a PERFECT location. Easy to get everywhere in LA and the neighborhood is quiet, cute, and safe. The beds are comfortable and the backyard garden is so nice to sit in for coffee in the morning. We will definitely be staying at Brian's house again the next time we're in LA!

Los Angeles Trip
This house is in a perfect location for UCLA events. It is close to campus but also close to many other things to do.
We were traveling with children and there is an amazing playground and park in Westwood. Venice Beach is a short drive away and there are numerous restaurant choices.
Communication with the property manager was excellent. He was always available and very responsive.
The home has many amenities and the backyard garden was so peaceful and nice to have for an early morning breakfast or just to sit and relax.
We would definitely stay here again if we were ever in the area.
