Construction Notice 10/20/25: Exterior painting work is currently scheduled from 5/18 - 6/12/26. During this time, the lanai will be locked and not accessible to guests. For your safety, please do not attempt to use the lanai at any time. You may also hear construction noise during work hours of 8am - 4pm, Monday through Friday. Please note that these dates may change we recommend you reach out to us for any updates on the schedule.

This condo underwent a kitchen and bathroom remodel in February 2024, enhancing its appeal as the perfect vacation or extended stay rental! With new cabinets, range and microwave, all complemented by stunning quartz countertops, the kitchen provides everything you need to prepare meals during your stay. The bathroom was thoughtfully designed for functionality and convenience, featuring added shelving under the mirror for your cosmetics and toiletries!

AMENITIES
Your stay includes cable TV, high-speed internet with password-protected WiFi.
We provide a starter kit of essentials, which includes liquid dish soap, a kitchen sponge, trash liners, a roll of paper towels, coffee, condiment packets, travel-size shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, soap, facial tissue, and an extra roll of toilet paper. Please note we do not replenish these items once the starter set is depleted. Each bathroom is equipped with 4 sets of towels, and blankets can be found in each bedroom closet. We are delighted to provide beach towels for your stay. Please ensure they are returned to the room at check-out. If they are not, a $10 fee per towel may be applied to your account. Housekeeping services available for an additional fee.

BUILDING AMENITIES
Shared laundry facilities are located on the 8th floor, with payment available via an app or credit card. A trash chute is conveniently situated at the end of the hallway. The property provides 24/7 security for your peace of mind. Please note, this building does not have a pool, nor is there access to one at another location.
Parking is available in the building for $33 per day (*rates subject to change), and metered street parking is available along the harbor for $1 per hour.
Routine pest control and maintenance are occasionally scheduled by building management. Smoking and vaping are strictly prohibited in the unit and on the lanai.

Please note that the condos are privately owned, and construction or building maintenance may occur during your stay. Most guests experience little to no disruption, as they are often out exploring the island, enjoying the beaches, shopping, or participating in activities. Enjoyable stay

The view from the condo was awesome. The only down side is the condo needs updated badly. We would have loved to clean more than we did, but the cleaning supplies are old and need replaced. Over all, we had a great time.

We are sincerely sorry that you did not enjoy our vacation home completely. If you really desire a newly remodeled luxury unit rather than an economy unit, there are much higher-priced newly remodeled luxury units in the same building. We have enjoyed living in this unit, on and off, for 7 years, and hope that our guests can also enjoy its space, location, full kitchen and facilities too. We try to keep it nice for our guests, having the whole unit including carpet professionally cleaned while we're off island, and are sorry they missed some spots--thank you for letting us know! We have contracted to have the entire shag carpet that we enjoy with bare feet to be removed and replaced with wooden flooring by midsummer so that inadequate cleaning will never again present a problem. We have replaced the Sears/Target furniture items that you called "Thrift Shop" with first-line island furniture, and had the rest cleaned. We have replaced the 40" TV with a 56" Ultra-High Definition Samsung. The wifi and cable has been upgraded to extreme high speed with hundreds of channels. We have replaced our 7-year-old bed with a top-of-the-line cool memory foam bed. Some issues are not with our particular unit but with the Marina management. For example, they use unfitted sheets because they are more adaptable to all bed sizes and can be bleached or sterilized without degrading any elastic. We always try to keep the dustpans, closets, and bathroom fully furnished, but sometimes such items disappear before we are informed or can replace them. Everything that you have noted has been replenished as of this writing. If anyone notes further issues, especially with level of cleaning or lacking necessary items, please bring it to the attention of Marina Hawaii Vacations management immediately, as they are authorized to remedy or replace as needed, even when we owners must be out of town. We do appreciate our guests' comments, and will do our best to maintain a clean and comfortable home away from home for those who choose us.

Great location

The ilikai is safe, centrally located and has fantastic views. My room was spacious, and bright. The downside is that the appliances and electronics were dated and the bed wasn’t the most comfortable. For the price, it’s great value. So long as you don’t go in expecting the four seasons you won’t be disappointed

Great location

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at this location. It is close to the beach, the Ala Moana Mall and the main strip on Waikiki. It is quite roomy for a studio (we've stayed in some very tiny places on Waikiki) and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom and kitchen were nice a clean. I was VERY happy to see that the owners have invested in bed bug covers for the mattresses. (yes, there is places in Honolulu who have problems with these nasty critters and we've had one encounter with them...not fun!) Loved the fact that the huge closet had ample hangers. It was stocked with adequate toilet paper, kleenex, paper towels for our 10 day stay. The towels were also new and very nice quality. We would only recommend the following improvements: kitchen cupboards need to be upgraded badly. It would be nice if beach towels or at least beach mats and a broom and dustpan were provided.

The studios are very spacious & a great option as it has a full kitchen! We do have to agree that we need to update the kitchen, but we've priced the condo to accommodate an outdated kitchen. We have mattress encasements on all our condos as we know that some unfriendly bugs like to hitch rides with guests staying in the condo and our housekeeping is trained to inspect the beds to ensure we don't have any problems for guests stay. Not too bad. We hope it will be improved.

Early Check-in was available in our time of stay. Easy to get Ala moana center also bus and trolley stop . We can direct access from the second floor of this buliding to Ilikai hotel. The mattress was so comfortable. Our stay of Hawaii was only 10 days. It’s too short to request for fix the problems below. We found over three baby cockroaches in the kitchen. they are breeding in there probably. There were dishes dirted by the previous users in the cupboard. The temperature display of the oven had been scratched, so we could not handle it. The bad smell from the drain pipe of the kitchen The door of the bathroom would not be locked. The toilet lever dead cracked and we had to be careful when using it. The drawer of the bathroom sink is cracked and rusty, so we could not use it. There was no plug of bathtub, it was unavailable to fill a bath. There was still a dirty stuff made from hairs of the previous guest in the hair catcher. The clock on the wall had been broken. The light stand was unavailable. The handle of the drawer of the side of the bed was broken. The most terrible problem I have to report was that the lock on the window door to the balcony was rusty and did not work, so we could not lock it during our stay. At the worst case, it could be cause the serious safety problem in my opinion. However, we enjoyed our vacation. Mahalo!

Mahalo for your review & feedback. The condo has recently been renovated for the kitchen and bathroom. It no longer has a tub and was converted to a shower during the renovation. This was to address the issues you have written about. We're happy that you were still able to enjoy your vacation in Waikiki. We hope to be able to welcome you back in the newly renovated condo!

Good location

I know it is Honolulu, but I think there should be a blanket proviided not just a sheet. There was no alarm clock so I had to call a friend for a wake up call for every morning. The shower was wonderful.

I loved the view! I loved the location! I loved that it was quiet. I didn't have noisy neighbors.

I loved that everyone I spoke with who was connected with the Ilikai was friendly, helpful, and professional. I was disappointed that the furniture was in such sorry condition. The stuffing is coming out of the cushions, the little wooden hook thing is falling off the wall with loose screws. The last time I stayed here, I was very well-impressed which is why I came back. I hope the necessary refurbishing is done as I would like to return again. I was not able to get the TV in the bedroom to work, but that's probably my fault. I'm not very good at technical stuff. The one in the living room worked anyway.

We just replaced the sofa in the living room, with a new sofa sleeper, with a memory foam mattress. We are working on slowly updating the other items in the condo as well. In the meantime, the price perfectly suited for travelers looking to stay in a great location, with an amazing 180-degree ocean & yacht view. This CONDO was perfect for our needs. The location was excellent and easy access to the beaches, shopping , restaurants within walking distance. The view was spectacular during the day and sunset. Mahalo for a great 10 day VACATION !!!

Apartment with beautiful view

We had 3 nights in apartment 1184. The apartment looks a bit dated and could do with a makeover, but it was very clean and the bed comfortable. Essential amenities were present, but little else. The view however was tremendous; overlooking the Waikiki marina and out to the ocean. It is also in good location for exploring Waikiki, with trolley stop and tour pick-ups easily available from in front of the Ilikai hotel just around the corner and a 10 minute walk from the large Ala Moana shopping mall and food court, although there were many other restaurants and a local ABC store nearby also.
