3 Bedroom Villa at Trapp Family Lodge in Stowe

This charming 3 bedroom, 3.5 bath villa is both spacious (over 2400 sq.ft. living
space) and cozy; casual and elegant with Austrian inspired décor, and perfect for a family
vacation with a gorgeous setting amidst the mountains and meadows of Stowe Vermont. Two master suites with king beds (one on 1st floor and one on 2nd floor)
plus 3rd bedroom suite with 2 double beds.
Laundry room on 2nd floor. Main level has beautiful kitchen / great room with fieldstone
fireplace, living and dining areas; spacious screened porch, large deck w/gas grill, foyer
with coat closet.
Guests enjoy complimentary use of the fitness center, pools, library and other public rooms in the
main lodge and there are numerous optional activities/tours available. On site
deli-bakery; Bierhall brewery/restaurant; and fine dining at the main lodge as well as many good dining and recreational offerings in the nearby area. The villa is availalable June 14-18, 2027, July 9-16, 2027. The 2 bedroom main villa (without lock-off suite) is available December 11-18, 2026 on a separate VRBO listing 5113996.

We enjoyed our stay at the Von Trapp Villa! Beautiful house with beautiful views. The location was awesome. I would highly recommend staying here. Host was wonderful!

This could have been 5 stars, if it weren’t for what appeared to be mold in the main floor master bathroom shower area. Everything else was wonderful and exceeded our expectations….however we cringed every time we took a shower. The owner informed us after the fact that the tile grout has turned a dark color and it was not mold….unfortunately we did not know this while there and so we had an unpleasant experience while showering. Given the price of our stay I would expect the tile to be re-grouted. The owner seemed less than understanding of our displeasure,

Thank you for your review. It is unfortunate that you waited 2 days after check-in to contact me with your concern and unfortunate that you made a faulty assumption regarding mold in the first floor master bath. Tile grout is porous and grout sealers offer limited effectiveness. When grout comes in contact with soaps, shampoos, or hair conditioners, the oils in these products discolor/ darken the grout. With that said, I agree that Villa maintenance at the resort should make a better effort to steam clean the discolored grout areas. As a fractional owner I paid $10,800 in maintenance fees in 2026 for my 4 weeks usage ( in addition to the initial purchase amount ). With regard to your rental cost, you paid less than half the amount that one would have paid for the 3 bedroom, 3.5 bath villa if rented directly through the resort for those 4 nights (published rate for those 4 nights is $6809 plus tax which totals $7694.17 ) It is also unfortunate that I did not receive the photo which you said was included with your initial email. I contacted Villa Services after receiving your email and they sent housekeeping staff to the villa the next day. It is also unsettling that you contacted Villa Services, and subsequently me, 6 days after check-out with an expectation of monetary compensation. I try to be very fair with rental pricing and prompt in responding to all inquiries and/or concerns, and all of the other reviews reflect their satisfaction with the accomodations and with me.

Beautiful Place and Best Views in Stowe

We loved staying in the Villas so much! We've stayed at Trapp Family Lodge many times before, but in guest houses. We will definitely use a villa next time as the views, privacy and accommodations were perfect for us and our family. The screened in room and large deck had plenty of room for all 8 of us and we spent a lot of time out there. The views from the villas are breathtaking so its right where we all wanted to be. The biggest improvement from the guest house is the larger kitchen, with room for 2-3 people to shuffle around in and for meals to be cooked and enjoyed inside rather than eating out for most meals. Perfect speed for picky kids and older guests (we had both)! The beds and pillows were very comfortable, the bedrooms very spacious and the bathrooms had plenty of towels and counter space for sharing. Each bedroom had its own private balcony, which was really nice for early morning risers to drink coffee and not interrupt the rest of the sleeping house. The property owner was very kind, responsive and helpful to my many questions, which is very much appreciated.

The Hills are Alive with Susan’s Trapp Family Villa

We have always wanted to visit Stowe, Vt and the Trapp Family Lodge and Susan’s Villa on the property did not disappoint ! We had access to all lodge amenities - hot tub , pool, fitness, with the privacy and convenience of a villa on the property. There is no resort fee but caked on to the villa, so the Trapp daily tours you do have to pay for. There were trails right out our property driveway. We took them throughout the property and every day we walked - out of 5 days of hiking for an hour a day- we saw deer every day but one. Beautiful birds, rolling hills; we came at a quiet time between summer and fall foliage. We are in our 50s and brought my parents who are almost 80 and we all had a great time. We had nightly fires in the living room and went either to the Bierhall 1/2 a mile away or into Stowe for lunch or dinner. The beds were very comfortable and each bedroom had an en-suite bathroom and balcony. Susan’s Villa is at the end of the road so it was very quiet. Thanks Susan for a wonderful week here with my parents!!

Tremendous time at Trapp Villas

We've been going to Trapp for more than thirty years, but, this was our first stay at the Villas. The location, decor, and comfort were beyond expectation. Looking forward to our next trip.

FABULOUS ALL AROUND

Beautiful, clean, well appointed villa situated in heart of mountains. Quiet and private with access to restaurants and shops within minutes. Property manager exceptional response time and full of suggestions for area. Definitely would stay here again!
