Els Casals, mountain farm in the Serra de Tramuntana with spectacular views of the Puig Tomir, whose houses date from the first half of the eighteenth century. The idyllic landscape provides an ideal relaxation and tranquility for nature lovers, where they have walks among lush forests, enjoying the Mallorcan native fauna.
The house decorated and furnished with typical Mallorcan rustic style, has two floors, is well equipped with all the attractions for a wonderful holiday. Surrounded by a natural setting of incomparable beauty between crops olive trees, carob and pine trees. The picturesque landscape provides an ideal place for rest and practice of outdoor air.

The beautiful beaches of Puerto Pollensa, Cala San Vicente and Formentor of, are a 10-minute drive away.

We had a great stay at this villa and would definitely recommend it. The views are amazing. The villa was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed, and the pool was fantastic. It feels peaceful and private, but it's still easy to drive to nearby towns, beaches and supermarkets. The host was brilliant too, with great communication before and during our stay. Overall, it's a lovely place to stay and we'd happily book it again if we return to Mallorca.

We had a really great holiday at El Casals. Amazing views with a lovely pool to cool off in. The house was v spacious and the air conditioning in the bedrooms was very effective. Communication with Xavier was excellent particularly as we ended up coming a day late due to the air traffic control chaos in the UK. I would love to come back to El Casals. You do need a car whilst staying here but Pollensa is only 10 minutes away by car. The directions were also v good. We had no problem finding the house even though it was 1AM when we arrived! Thank you very much Xavier!

A very special place in a mountain setting

We loved being “away from it all” in this gorgeous, historic property. Needed the car to go anywhere as it’s a bit off the beaten track. Fabulous pool, and outdoor dining area and views. Amazing walks and nature. Javier a great host, very helpful and lives in nearby Pollenca.

Remote and beautiful surrounding

Relaxing and joyfull! We loved to sit on the terrace and the atmospere in the old house from 1844 was charming and cool. The pool was small but chill. Every morning we heard the sheeps and goats and that was so lovely. Thanks for the wonderful holiday.

Perfect villa, perfect location

We had an absolutely wonderful holiday, the villa had everything we needed, it was remote and secluded with stunning views and still only a 10 minute drive to the local supermarkets and Pollenca town. The kitchen was well equipped we self catered most of the holiday. A couple of the matresses were a little uncomfortable in the twin room but we didnt use these, the other single beds were really comfortable and the master bed was one of the most comfortable we have experienced when staying away. We were visted by the donkeys, and the goats with their bells bounding up the road in the evening was a joy to watch. We would love to return. Thank you Javier for such a beautiful house and location.

Stunning villa

We had a really lovely week at Els Casals. The villa is gorgeous, full of character, in the most beautiful setting overlooking a valley and mountains. We enjoyed the pool which had some nice shade from an olive tree. The sheep were lovely to hear baa-ing with their clangy bells. So sweet. We loved the town of Pollenca, the port and the beach at Formentor. Xavier was a good host, very welcoming and helpful. We heartily recommend staying here.

Stay with no happy end

This charming villa is located in a beautiful natural reserve with amazing views over the valley. We stayed here for two weeks and had a nice time until we got robbed in the house. This whole experience was a huge pity to us because we liked the house but we did not feel safe anymore and had to take our belongings with us all the time.

Regarding your comment about the robbery , we are really sorry on what happened , but it has been a very strange thing , as there were nothing forced to get in the house , not even the police could find any signal of robbery apart from the inside safe locker which seemed to be forced. Great stay in Rustic Farmhouse

Had a lovely stay. Javier was so friendly and couldn’t do enough to help us. The house is beautiful and rustic as advertised - if you have small children make sure to take insect repellent for them as well as you as the property is rural therefore of course there are mosquitoes and other bugs and you’ll need it morning and evening espeically. This is true of the whole island of course. You’ll also need to take care outside as there’s no pool cover or gate to block the pool from the rest of the garden and there are “escape” points and drops. Also inside the property there are lots of stairs and steps between rooms. My little one loved it though especially watching the goats and seeing the stars!

Lovely rural farm

The property was in a great location close to Pollenca. The owners were lovely people who made a special effort to ensure we were all ok. They even brought us vegetables from the farm and brought toys for the children to play with in the house and pool. A few things to note if you are travelling with a mixed group: - The wifi is not very fast so you can not stream, download - The air conditioning is not switched on until 9pm, not great if you are there and its very hot - There are stairs going into every room of the house (mainly stone), so again if you are there with the elderly or young children its not ideal - The farm has a resident cat - There are many ants and mosquitos in the summer months, so go prepared with deet!

Breathtaking views!

I had the pleasure of staying at this incredible space. The location is perfect, placed high up on a hill overlooking a valley with farms and other residences. Waking in the early morning to the sounds of the clinking cow bells (I think they were in goats, however) and watching the sun rise, casting its glow over the mountains on the other side of the valley will be missed! We reside in Boulder, Colorado, and are no stranger to gorgeous views, but this was breathtaking. The home is a very large, old structure, that allowed my imagination to roam about, to a time that seemed simpler, and perhaps less complicated. The entire family fell in love with the house and it’s grounds right away. Everything that we needed was present, and when the house needed a minor repair, the manager attended to it promptly, and was very quick with communication. I recommend this beautiful space to any hopeless romantic wanting to experience a more authentic view of the local life in Majorca!

Great house with fantastic views

We stayed at Els Casals for two weeks in july with two families with kids. We had a great time swimming in the pool and have dinner at the terras. A small road from the main road from Pollenca to Lluc leads up to the house. The house has fantastic views from the pool and terras. The house itself is comfortable and is equiped with almost everything you need. It stays relatively cool during the hottest hours of the day. The bedrooms stay cool at night with airco which start automatically at around 10 PM. Javier is a good host. We were well received by him and he came by the house on a number of occasions. We didn't need his assitance during the stay but he is there to help you out and give tips. From the house it is only 6 minutes drive to Pollenca which is a nice little town. Not overly touristic, but enough to have nice little shops and good restaurants. The beaches in Mallorca are very busy in July. The best and quietest beaches we visited was Cala Mesquida (1 hour drive near Arta) and Cala Tuent (pebble beach, 45 minutes). Othe beaches nearby are Cala Formentor and the beach of Port de Pollenca. The are crowded but nice. Also for cycling the house is a good starting point. The Col de Femenia starts at the house and the Sa Calobra, Puig Major and all climbs in the northern part of the serra the Tramuntana are within reach. All in all we had a great holiday and can certainly recommend the house.

Alles in allem echt top und wirklich zu empfehlen. Einziges Manko war, das wir ein etwas größeres Auto hatten und die Zufahrtstrasse dadurch ich echt eng war. Also lieber ein etwas schmäleres Auto mieten. Ansonsten alles einwandfrei. Die Unterkunft kann man nur empfehlen. Wunderschön gelegen, Blick auf die Berge und ein sehr schöner Pool

A very good communication with the owner before and over the stay. The finca is very well situated in the mountain area with a breathtaking few into the valley.The finca it self is a nice traditional house in a typical Majorcan environment (olive and lemontrees etc.)All rooms and bedrooms were clean and the kitchen was well equipped.We can just recommend the finca for recovering and relaxing

Wir haben unseren Urlaub in „Els Casals“ sehr genossen. Die Ruhe und den tollen Blick ins Tramuntana Gebirge, ein Traum! Xaver ist ein sehr guter Gastgeber, immer erreichbar und immer zur Stelle, wenn man ihn brauchte. Der Pool war immer sauber und schön für eine Abkühlung. Die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet mit Geschirr, Gläsern, Töpfen und Besteck. Alle Geräte funktionieren einwandfrei. Wir haben alle sehr gut in unseren Betten geschlafen.In den 14 Tagen konnten wir uns, Gott sei Dank, immer draußen aufhalten bis auf einen Abend. Da mussten wir leider feststellen, dass die Sofas durchgesessen sind und die Stühle im unteren Esszimmer sehr unbequem sind. Das war für uns das einzige Manko.Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Sechs-tätiger Aufenthalt im Oktober

Wir haben unseren sechs-tägigen Aufenthalt in der Unterkunft sehr genossen. Die Kommunikation mit Javier lief hervorragend. Bei Fragen war er immer erreichbar und hilfsbereit. Die Unterkunft liegt sehr ruhig etwas abseits der Straße und bietet ein wunderschönes Bergpanorama. Highlights waren der Pool und die Terrasse. Die Unterkunft war insgesamt sehr sauber. Einziger Wermutstropfen waren Tausendfüßler und Ameisen im Haus, wobei man das bei einem ehemaligen Bauernhof vielleicht erwarten muss. Alles in allem ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt. Wir hoffen, dass wir wiederkommen.

Traumhafter Urlaub

Wir haben einen traumhaften Urlaub in Javier‘s wunderschöner, traditioneller Finca (das Wohngebäude ist fast 200 Jahre alt) verbracht. Mit unseren drei Kindern (13.16,19) haben wir natürlich insbesondere das Vorhandensein von 4 Schlafzimmern, jeweils mit eigenem Bad geschätzt. Die Finca ist im mallorquinischen Stil eingerichtet, was wir sehr authentisch fanden. Der Garten ist ein Traum mit Schattenplätzen, vielen Blüten und vollbehangenen Zitronenbäumen (sehr lecker). Sowohl aus dem Haus, vom Frühstückstisch auf dem Freisitz oder vom schönen Pool aus hat man einen traumhaften Blick auf das Tramuntana-Gebirge (dabei ist insbesondere der Sternenhimmel über den Bergen von der Liege am Pool im Dunkeln ein besonderer Genuss). Supermärkte (Empfehlung: der lokale Eroski, insbesondere, wenn man Fisch mag!) sind 6-7 min dem Auto entfernt, das Haus liegt sehr ruhig abseits und oberhalb der recht wenig befahrenen Straße. Schöne Strände sind ebenfalls in ca. 20-35 min mit dem Auto zu erreichen. Damit sei aber auch darauf hingewiesen: ein Auto ist aus unserer Sicht bei diesem Haus zwingend erforderlich. Javier ist sehr hilfsbereit und jederzeit für Fragen (z.B. per WhatsApp) verfügbar. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

10 jours parfaits

Merci a Javier Pour l'accueil, pour les courses parfaites (nous sommes arrivés un dimanche),pour les infos plages et balades,pour sa discrétion et pour cette maison dans un endroit magnifique et calme et pourtant a 10 minutes des commodités. Bref nous reviendrons .
