Romantic farmhouse in Monferrato wine district

A beautifully restored farmhouse ('cascina') in the middle of Monferrato wine district, the house is conveniently located in the middle of North West Italy: Milan (the most lively and modern Italian city, with extraordinary monuments and unsurpassed shopping opportunities), Genoa (with its Riviera, Portofino, Cinque Terre, the popular Aquarium), Turin and the nearby Alps are easily reached by highways or railway in one two hours. Our 'cascina' is a typical 18th century Piedmont farmhouse, surrounded by a wineyard (Dolcetto, Cortese, Barbera). The house has been recently restored and is fully furnished with all modern comforts. Its location makes it an ideal starting point for trekking, cycling, horse riding, visiting historical castles, manors wine cellars ('cantine') and renowned restaurants. The Gavi area can be reached in 20 minutes by car, as well as the Serravalle Outlet where you can find at very convenient prices the best in Italian fashion (Prada, Dolce e Gabbana, Armani, etc.)

Starting from may 2012 a beautifully built swimming pool, hydromassage area included, is available to our guests. This pool is shared with the rest of the family.

Lovely holiday

We had a lovely holiday. The appartment matches perfectly the description. The area is nice and peaceful but yet close to villages and cities. Isabella & Michele are very friendly hosts. On friday & saturday evening you can enjoy their wine over a lovely dinner at the house-restaurant.

Outstanding!!

Our family had a wonderful 2 week stay at Isabella and Michele's farmhouse. The apartment was wonderful, very stylish and comfortable and the pool was fantastic with wonderful views. The restaurant was outstanding with a wonderful setting and superb food and home grown wine. Isabella and Miguel were wonderful hosts, very welcoming and generous. We loved our holiday with them and cannot recommend their farmhouse more highly!!

A beautiful retreat!

The photos don’t do this wonderful place justice. It’s peaceful and beautiful, somewhere you can truly relax. We spent a wonderful week here, we only regret it wasn’t longer. Our 8 and 6 year old loved the pool, as did we! Many hours were spent floating around enjoying the view or just sitting watching the birds circling above. If you’re thinking of booking, get on and do it! We’re sure you won’t regret it.

Magical place

This property is in the most magical place, overlooking hills, a castle and vineyards. We dined at Isabella's restaurant which is open on Friday and Saturday nights and serves delicious local food and their own wine. The pool was beautiful and certainly had the best view from a swimming pool I have ever seen! Everything was clean and well maintained and I would certainly recommend this property to friends and family. My husband, teenage daughter and I had a blissfully relaxing time here. We went on a couple of trips and the house is well located for those who want to do a bit more than we did. Isabella and her husband were friendly and welcoming. It was slightly difficult to find - top tip - the asphalt road is more than 200m from the junction - more like 1 km. That was our only problem!

Erster Urlaub in Italien...Katastrophe

Ich hatte mich eigentlich auf die Bewertungen anderer Reisender verlassen. Die Vermieterin ist sehr nett und auch immer hilfsbereit. Die Wohnung!!! befand sich im Haus der Vermieterin. Diese ist eigentlich für 6 Personen ausgeschrieben. Wir waren zu dritt und es war schon viel zu klein um sich drinnen lange aufzuhalten. Auf den Bildern war ausserdem eine grosse im Schatten befindliche Terrasse und ein Grill. Beides ist aber nicht nutzbar weil es der Vermieterin gehört und in ihrem Bereich steht. Die Sauberkeit war auch so eine Sache da musste man wirklich alle Augen zudrücken. Keine Ahnung ob da von der Agentur schon mal jemand da war. Und auch die Beschreibung und dann die Umsetzung vergleicht. Wir waren schon oft im Ausland aber noch nie haben wir etwas so schlimmes gebucht und auch mit einem viel zu hohen Preis bezahlt . Es ist für uns sehr traurig .Ich mache und buche Urlaub weil ich gerne meine Ruhe haben möchte. Leider weit gefehlt . Den ganzen Tag laufen die Kinder schreiend oder mit Fahrzeugen fahrend durch den Garten und immer kommen mehrere Leute auf das Grundstück. Der angegebene Pool konnte von unserer Seite kaum genutzt werden . Entweder waren die Kinder drinnen oder er wurde um 19 Uhr geschlossen. Von Privatsphäre kann ich nicht wirklich sprechen. Ich bin wirklich sehr enttäuscht von diesem Objekt obwohl sich alles so schön angehört hat. Schade um unser Geld. sehr klein und eng

Wunderbarer erholsamer Urlaub

Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Urlaub in einer tollen Unterkunft. Uns hat die rustikale Unterkunft sehr gut gefallen. Alles war sauber und ordentlich. Wir haben nichts auszusetzen. Isabella und ihr Mann waren sehr nette und hilfsbereite Gastgeber. Vielen Dank für die Unterstützung bei der Auswahl und Reservierung von Restaurants und der freundlichen Empfehlung für Orte die wir uns anschauen sollten. Alles in allem bleibt nur zu sagen: wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen gerne wieder. Und nochmal ganz herzlichen Dank für die tolle Zeit

De woonruimte was erg klein deel van het huis en eenvoudig ingericht. De slaapkamers en twee badkamers ruim en goed. Met vier personen goed te doen. De buitenruimte was geweldig met mooie uitzichten en een heel mooi zwembad.

A relaxing Italian holiday

Isa and Michele are lovely hosts. Their vineyard is a magical place with lovely views across the valley and the mountains. The apartment is well equipped and very comfortable for 2 couples but can accommodate up to 6 people. The place is child and pet friendly. The swimming pool is very nice. The restaurant is open at the weekend and the food is delicious. There are some nice villages nearby and countryside walks. A proper Italian countryside holiday experience. We would highly recommend Ca Mimia and we will definitely go back.

Heerlijk!

Wat een heerlijk appartement, met een prachtig uitzicht van op het terras en aan het zwembad. Wij konden direct ontspannen en vonden er rust. Isabella is een warme vrouw die gemakkelijk aanspreekbaar en zeer behulpzaam is, geeft fijne tips over uitstappen, restaurants enz. In het weekend kan je eten bij Isabella. Zeker doen! Het appartement is gezellig en mooi ingericht, alle comfort is er. De streek is ook echt mooi: we zijn een dag naar Genua geweest, Aqui Terme en Asti zijn zeker ook de moeite. We hebben ook enkele dorpjes in de omgeving bezocht. En er is een groot outlet shopping center, ideaal bij slechter weer. Er zijn voldoende grootwarenhuizen in de buurt, dus dat is zeker ook handig! Het enige minpuntje was de zeer wisselende wifi (vooral voor mijn dochters van 15 en 16j ;-) ) Het was voor ons een geweldige plaats op op vakantie te zijn!!!

Italienische Gastfreundschaft im besten Sinne

Wir (Familie mit zwei Kindern) wurden freundlich empfangen und haben uns sofort wohl gefühlt. Die Gastgeber sind uns mit ihrer unkomplizierten, herzlichen und freundlichen Art sofort ans Herz gewachsen. Die Wohnung ist einfach und schön ausgestattet und es ist angenehm zwei Badezimmer zu haben. Der Umschwung inklusive Pool ist sehr schön gelegen in den Weinbergen und mit allem ausgestattet, was man zum Planschen brauchen könnte. Die Gastgeberin kocht Samstagabend uns Sonntagmittag für Gäste. Wer echtes, ehrliches italienisches Essen mag, sollte sich das nicht entgehen lassen. Herzlichen Dank Isabella und Michele für zwei wunderbare Ferienwochen.

Very pleasant stay in beautiful Piemont surroundings.

Very nice situated appartment with an astonishing view to the Piemontese Apennines. Not too touristic region, good local restaurants in the adjacent villages. Good for families with children. Our children had the times of their lives in the big garden en nice swimming pool. When going to Italy, we certainly come back!

Romantic house is beautifull surrounding.

Lovely place to stay. Very nice owners, who speak english, and did everything to make our stay as pleasant as possible. The house is decorated in a romantic style. Nice and cool swimming pool. Piemonte is quite, and not that touristic yet. We would love to come back.

Great place to stay. We recommend it !!!

Very nice place to stay. Good stylish apartment. Great garden with a lovely pool and superb views. Quiet heaven on earth. Isabella and her husband, team and family, are very nice people who will make your holiday perfect. On saturday evening and sunday noon, Isabella cooks for a few people (only on reservation). We surely recommend to enjoy her wonderfull Italian kitchen. Thank you very much for a very nice stay !

Eine wunderschöne Ferienwohnung - hier stimmt alles!!!

Die Ferienwohnung ist wunderschön, alles ist sehr sauber und genau wie beschrieben. Der Pool mit Aussicht auf die Berge ist ein Traum! Wir hatten ihn für uns alleine!! Die Gegend ist richtig für all diejenigen, die keinen großen Wert auf Touristenrummel legen. Mit dem Auto ist man in wenigen Minuten in Ovada, wo man alles bekommt, was man braucht (Geschäfte, Restaurants, Wochenmarkt..). Michele und Isabella sind bezaubernde und zuvorkommende Gastgeber und geben sich größte Mühe, dass man sich wohl fühlt. Sie geben gute Empfehlungen für Unternehmungen, Restaurants etc. Wir sind unter anderem auf den Monte Tobbio gewandert, von wo man bei schönem Wetter sogar das Meer sehen kann. Das Restaurant im Hause, wo man samstags abends und sonntags mittags landestypische Speisen essen kann, ist auch sehr zu empfehlen!!! Der hauseigene Wein und das Essen sind vorzüglich! Ein großes Dankeschön von uns an Isabella und Michele und das gesamte Team!!! Alle sind wahnsinnig lieb und zuvorkommend!!! Wir hatten tolle zwei Wochen!!!

Toller erholsamer Urlaub

Bereits bei der Ankunft wurden wir (4 Erwachsene und unsere Labradorhündin) sehr herzlich empfangen. Wir verbrachten 10 wundervolle Tage dort. Tolles Ambiente, sehr gepflegt und sauber. Auch mit Hund sehr zu empfehlen. Nochmals vielen Dank an Isabella und ihrem Team. Kommen gerne wieder.
