The Coachouse in Olinda

The Coachouse offers all the modern day amenities, but in a cosy quiet setting and is the pefect oasis for 4 guests the business person or to celebrate and unwind with family or friends.
Two bedrooms are available, including queen beds, luxury en-suite bathrooms with deep bath, spa bath, separate showers,large living with plasma screen and wyfi, gas log fire, AC, fully equipped kitchen.

Each room has a view into the garden and with its stunning views of the ranges
Luscious quality linen and dressing gowns supplied.

Our latest addition to our family accommodation is the playground which has proven to be very popular with children of all ages.

Tariff includes a full selection of breakfast ingredients/cooked breakfast provisions for you to cook at your leisure to enjoy.

The RJ Hamer Arboretum is directly opposite Gracehill Accommodation for nature lovers and bushwalkers alike to explore the abundant source of wildlife, or wander through the villages of Olinda, Mt Dandenong and Sassarfras and experience some of our local eateries and speciality shops or spend the afternoon in the Yarra Valley which is only a short drive from Gracehill Accommodation.

A pleasant retreat in the hills
A great place for a quick and easy escape from the city. Beautiful garden setting surrounded by natural bush for hikes, cycling and general enjoyment of the outdoors. Couldn't be happier with our city getaway stay, Betty was an excellent host ensuring all our needs were met.

Very comfortable
It is very comfortable. It is beautifully appointed and spacious. The loudest noises you hear are the birds. If we go to the area again we will certainly stay there.

Home away from home.
A lovely retreat in the Dandenongs. Beautiful gardens and views too. Our hostess was lovely and very helpful. Our apartment was peaceful and elegant...suited our needs beautifully, and we loved the magpies song early in the mornings.

Gorgeous - simply divine.
Gracehills is a beautiful place to stay in Olinda. The gardens are magnificent and the area is whisper quiet. The 'Coachhouse' we stayed in is lovely. Very spacious, with a huge kitchen and living area that lead out to a verandah overlooking the vast gardens. I can't speak highly enough of this wonderful place to re-charge your batteries. It is spotlessly clean, there is spa bath, fully equipped kitchen and a very generous breakfast is ready for you. Betty and Fred are wonderful hosts and we are already thinking about our next visit to this special place. Put this property on your list.

Wonderful stay
What a great experience. The property was beautiful, quiet and super relaxing. Betty went above and beyond to make sure everything was clean and was extremely generous with the food that was provided. We will 100% be back!

Beautiful and Cozy
Betty was so lovely and warm, she made us feel right at home. We ended up staying at the Barn, which was beautiful and cozy and it met our needs. We would definitely stay there again.

Scones, Scenes and Serenity all in one cute cottage
We booked a bit last minute so to be frank we were not expecting much. It was a shock to arrive at the Coachhouse. A welcoming gas fire was burning, there was food, the place is really lovely (inside and out) and it is just perfect for a weekend away. Already mentioned by others but the scones alone are worth the visit! We were perfectly content with the weather outside raining, hailing and even snowing! Betty (the Owner) was really proactive we had all the necessary information, including the offer of an early check in. We had such a relaxing time, we are definitely going back!

A very warm welcome
Warm scones on arrival for our wintery weekend getaway was an unexpected but entirely welcome surprise from our Gracehill host. We stayed in the ‘Coachouse’, and both rooms had big, comfy beds. We also received generous snacks and breakfast produce. The spa bath is fabulous; the hospitality outstanding. Only 36kms from the cbd, Olinda never-the-less feels a long way from suburbia. It’s got a Sunday drive kind of kitsch charm, with lots of faux-European cafes and enough shops and galleries to lose yourself in for a few hours. The King Henry Arts Café in nearby Sassafras offered good-priced lunch options, The Faraway Tree bookshop in main drag Olinda is an excellent stop for readers of all ages, and the hot chocolate at Only Mine is also highly recommended. The main appeal of Olinda, though, are the huge trees, big skies (on a clear night, it’s worth the $7 entry fee for the views from Sky High), and many parks and gardens. Gracehill is perfectly situated - a little out of town, and opposite the R.J. Hamer Arboretum, which offers great views and lovely walks. The National Rhododendron Gardens is a highlight any time of year.

Immaculate presentation and comfort. Totally private and without doubt the very best experience we have enjoyed for a getaway in the hills. Our expectations are extremely high and Betty's service and accommodation exceeded even this. Every little touch has not been overlooked and the service was more than 5 star. We recommend this getaway to anyone who is seeking the very best that the Dandenongs have to offer and we will definitely be returning very soon for more of this luxurious, friendly and beautiful experience. We cannot state what was the best thing as everything was as good as it gets.

*Honestly from the first moment l sent my email request with a few questions trying to find the ideal place right through our stay everything not only met my expectations but far exceeded. *Betty was amasing, so very welcoming & made it all very easy & carefree to organise.....& even making a recommendation for a an absolutely delicious place to have dinner. *Once there she showed us around & then left us to enjoy the beautiful surrounds & settle in. *The facilities/ privacy & scenery were excellent & we will definately be coming again Betty. Thankyou. Ps - My partner & l adored the big breaky too & little treats you left for a midnight snack in the fridge!!
