"One The Avenue" has recently been refurbished to the highest standard - with state of the art media and sound system (Netflix & Sonos), designer bathrooms, chefs kitchen...... and much much more! The house has a large open living area with fire place leading onto the dining room and beautifully equipped country kitchen. Adjoining the main living area is a games room with billiard table and large plasma TV. An open fire place make this a perfect room to wile away a traditional Southern Highlands winters day. The property is set on an acre of established garden with age old trees. A paved and undercover entertaining area with both stone BBQ & gas BBQ complete the setting.
From the time you drive in the imposing stone gates "One The Avenue" will impress and delight all those looking for their perfect country retreat.
Accommodation
The house can accommodate 8 guests maximum depending on the type of the group. It is not suitable for 4 couples however is often used for a group of single woman having a kids free weekend! If you require extra bedding this must be made clear at the time of booking & there is a small additional charge to cover linen and extra cleaning costs.
The property has 3 bedrooms. The master bedroom has a king size bed and ensuite bathroom (with a bath), it also has a plasma screen TV and large built in wardrobes. The second bedroom has 2 king singles beds (almost double beds) and is very spacious with garden views. The third bedroom has a queen bed. There is a 3 seater sofa (which can be used for one extra person) and large plasma TV making the room an alternate TV viewing room . The second bathroom adjoins this room and there is a powder room off the living areas. All linen, towels and bedding are of the highest quality and supplied at no extra cost.
Attractions Once a tourist region popular for its picturesque rural landscape and quaint historic villages untouched by the hand of time, in recent years the Southern Highlands has been able to add to its list of attractions with the region now recognised as an emerging food and wine destination.
Today the range of activities on offer for visitors to the Southern Highlands includes:
winery cellar doors, dinning, shopping, galleries and museums, antiques, markets, golf, gardens, national parks, action and adventure pursuits.
And almost all these are no more than a 5 minute drive from the property.

Excellent Weekend Stay
The property was in lovely location and well presented. Very comfortable for three couples and greatly appreciated the heating being turned on by property manager before our arrival! Open fires a bonus.

Lovely country home
Wonderfully welcoming home just a very short drive from Bowral and yet very much in the countryside. The kids loved racing around the garden (snowdrops; how lovely!) and we all loved the fireplace and home comforts. We celebrated Christmas in July and it was just perfect - even a wreath on the door and rustic tree to set the scene.

Nice location
We loved the location hidden behind a long driveway and garden. It’s a two minutes walk to Burradoo Station. We enjoyed the pool table although the room was over furnished. Great facilities with three toilets, central heating , fireplaces with wood supplied. The only problem we had was with the wifi and tv which kept turning on and off.
Very comfortable beds. Train noise could be heard but didn’t really bother us. The house is very private.

Lovely house for a get together
Situated in a part of Bowral’s most gorgeous properties this house fits in nicely. The house is spacious, well equipped, inviting and bonus of a lounge room with billiards table. This room does have a problem in that the table has been placed such that certain shots can’t be completed due to placement of the table near fixtures and too much furniture in the room. We loved our stay and would like to add how helpful and responsive our host was. Definitely recommend this property

Great Weekend Getaway
On a wet weekend, this house was perfect with that large open fire, lots of space, warm comfy beds and a great kitchen to cook that Sunday roast. There is a beautiful garden to look at and enjoy from the verandah with a book and a drink of choice.
You can certainly hear those freight trains going through but not enough to bother us though some friends opted for earplugs through the night. Great weekend was had by all.

A charming country estate perfect for a weekend getaway!
We absolutely loved our stay at this property, it was a beautiful country style home with expansive living areas set on an acre of landscapes gardens.
We loved the grand fireplace and entertainers kitchen! This house had such charm and was exceptionally clean. It was in a great location close to town on a quiet street.
We cannot wait to stay here again!

Relaxing and peaceful getaway
I highly recommend this property for a relaxing and peaceful getaway.
Property is gorgeous, impeccably clean and well-equipped on meticulously maintained grounds. Open fires make for a cosy night in.
Plenty to see and do close to the property, great restaurants and vintage shopping.

A gorgeous property!
Photos of this property don’t do it justice. We visited in August with my family. The grounds and gardens were so beautiful and lush. And the property from the inside had a very warm and cozy feeling, with exceptionally clean rooms and kitchen. The property manager was extremerly helpful and so prompt and attentive to any requests we had. Definitely returning for a visit sometime soon!

A Perfect Weekend Getaway!
We had an amazing Mum's weekend away in this stunning stone cottage set in lush private gardens. The house is beautifully furnished plus had a fabulous gourmet kitchen and an entertainment room with a fireplace and billiard table. Close to Bowral where we had a fantastic dinner out. Also located on a beautiful walking/bike path along the river for long walks. We are already planning our return trip!

We were really happy about the location in a very quiet street set back in a lovely garden. The house was very clean, comfortable and spacious. Good facilities and plenty of room!!!

Perfect family weekend
Our family were visiting from interstate and we loved the open fires and the billiard table. The kitchen was beautiful with everything we needed. Wonderful local walks and close to the things we needed in town. We will be back.
