It is always a pleasure to host at Clifftop. It is quite a unique house with memories of the 60's and 70's. As Leigh says The views are fabulous and the sunny lounge room makes winter mornings a pleasure.

Thanks Susan . Yes, Clifftop is a wonderful example of 1960's architecture with unique features still in excellent condition. It is very comfortable with everything you need for a restful holiday. As you say the view is amazing and it is part of the headland history close to the wharf and the Tathra Hotel. I hope to see you again someday.

Great location

Best location inTathra

Theis property is very comfortable and perfectly located for ocean views and shelter from the Southerlies. Being dog friendly was an extra bonus

Elisa and her family enjoyed a relaxing time at Clifftop watching sea eagles soaring above the cliff edge, the uninterrupted coastal views and a week of good weather. We would be happy to welcome them back in the future

A perfect holiday

Clifftop is just a dream of a place to stay - you can watch whales pass by from the patio, walk to the beach in 5 minutes and enjoy a thoughtfully fitted out and stylish beach house in one of the loveliest parts of the world. We adored out stay and will be back for sure.

One of the great things about Clifftop is the expansive ocean views together with whales in season and soaring sea eagles . Super Views

The property has fantastic views which was perfect for Whale watching. The beds were also very comfortable and the house had everything you could need.

Thanks Rhys for staying at Clifftop you are quite right that the views are fabulous with a great vista across the bay where whales and dolphins often play. The house is well appointed and guests often comment on how comfortable the beds are. Hope to meet you again

Great views & location

We loved the property. Just right for a family of four and just a short walk to the beach and wharf. Tathra is very relaxing and the house had a fantastic view of the ocean and surrounds. Highly recommended and Chris was very helpful and knew all the spots to visit.

Clifftop Tathra

Amazing location, well appointed house with magnificent views. Close to the the Tathra Hotel which serves excellent meals. An ideal home for families or couples. Will return.

Wonderful place and time

It is amazing house, with the views, facilities and homely feelings - can't get any better than that. Chis is very generous and warm host providing a lot of information about the place and neighbourhood. Will definitely be back !

The Clifftop house is delightful, comfortable, light and charming. It stands in the most exquisite place, facing the sea on one side and the bush on the other. We felt very lucky to be there and had a lovely week of walks and swims. Thankyou to Chris, for an excellent stay. We are missing the sounds of the sea, the parrots and the fine view.

60s retro beach house

Jane and her family were very friendly and keen to enjoy their holiday, both at Clifftop and exploring the beautiful region. Their son was studying and spent some of his time working from home, made easier by our nbn connection.. The house was left very clean and tidy and we would not have known they had a dog after they left. Thanks so much for staying at Clifftop.

Great experience

Tathra was a wonderful base for our NSW coast holiday. We enjoyed the convenient location and great views. Good coffee options nearby was a bonus. Christine was a friendly and prompt communicator. Thanks so much for everything.

Nerida and party were fabulous guests , leaving the house very clean and tidy. We had a lovely chat about the area and the house on arrival and they were very happy to help me out before departure which was much appreciated. I would be very happy to host them again. Thanks heaps!

Clifftop is in an excellent location in Tathra. Such stunning views from the house and well equipped. So much birdlife! Easy to access all that the beautiful Sapphire Coast has to offer. Christine is an excellent host. We all enjoyed our time and would love to return in the future.

Magical stay in a house with spectacular views

We loved staying in this magical house with spectacular views of Tathra beach. It was a short stroll down to the beach for an early morning swim and then coffee every morning. Amazing location. Walking distance to the historic Tathra Pub. Oysters on the cliff opposite the house on our favourite bench. We loved staying at Cliff top house and will be planning our next holiday there soon.

Wonderful Escape

We had a lovely time at this house-its like stepping back in time! The location is fabulous and we were able to walk to both the wharf and the beach easily.We took our labrador and the house was well set up for his needs.The walk from the wharf around the headland was a great morning workout for us all .Garden is beautiful

A great beach house, set up on the headland with fabulous views of the water from all of the front rooms. The house was very clean, was pet friendly and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay including visits from the local kangaroos each day, in the back garden. A quick walk down the hill to the stairs and you’re on the beach. Just a few minutes walk from the house are a great butcher, general store and pub plus cafes down adjacent to the beach. Tathra is a lovely hamlet - feels like a little bit of a time warp, without the high rise and bustle of many coastal towns. A great place to just relax.

Retro with views

Loved the location. Loved the retro feel. Well appointed. Although dog friendly and aware of limited fenced outdoor space we felt doggies didn't get as good a deal as us!

Thanks Helen I’m glad you enjoyed the house and it was lovely to meet you. Yes unfortunately we just have the 2 deck areas fenced for dogs as the back garden is not easily fenced and it runs into the adjoining properties. We do make guests aware of the outdoor spaces on our site and there is a park opposite where you can let the dogs have a run or on the beach in the dog friendly area. It is after all the choice of our guests to bring their dog and they are allowed inside the house with general rules of not on the furniture and preferably not in the bedrooms for the comfort of future guests.

Quite possibly the best location in Tathra. Very comfortable home with 60's character and detailing. Beautiful water outlook at the front and a sunny decking out the back overlooking a lush garden/gully. The house provides everything you need. An easy walk to the shops, hotel and down to the beautiful beach. We saw whales on the headland walk, one very close into shore. The Tathra Wharf is a great spot for lunch. Although you can't take dogs onto the wharf they have some seating near the road and will bring you a coffee. Christine is a great communicator and a very pleasant host. We'd love to come back one day.

Perfect, relaxed home away from home

We loved staying at your beautiful house. For our family of four it was perfect; from the comfortable beds, very well equiped kitchen, great little retro touches, thoughtful inclusions such as sunscreen and radox in the bathroom, to the beautifully maintained, large garden to wander round in and magnificent views from the balcony (the great view from the kitchen even makes washing up a pleasure!) all the comforts of home are there. Being pet friendly at Clifftop was a big bonus for us as the 4-legged member of our family loved going leash-free on the northern parts of Tathra beach. Our teenaged son loved exploring the many nearby mountain bike trails while we relaxed on the deck with several good books! Our final nights dinner at Fat Tonys was the icing on the cake of a lovely week. Thank you Chris and Bruce.

Thanks Dee for your review. I really enjoyed meeting your family on arrival and we were so glad you had a relaxing and enjoyable stay. Clifftop is in such a special spot and we love to see happy guests. My late parents built Clifftop in 1960 and it was my mother's 'Dream Home'. They landscaped the beautiful garden. I know she would love to see it loved by our guests . Tathra does offer both active and relaxed activities for all ages. Our cafes, clubs and restaurants cater for most tastes and I'm glad you enjoyed the experience at Fat Tony's We will look forward to meeting again Thanks Dee

Fabulous stay

Great property for a family getaway. It had all the ingredients for a fabulous beach holiday, we even got lucky with the weather. Lots of natural light and nice outlook with sea views and mod cons, including r/c aircon, dishwasher, good wifi, streaming tv and Weber Q topped it off. Can’t wait to return.

Great location

Really well maintained property. Central to scenic walking tracks , bike tracks , Tathra beach, also plenty of eating places if you don’t want to cook. Excellent, lots to see and do or just relax and do nothing!!
