Picture a cozy log cabin situated in a scenic wooded area of Sackets Harbor, NY and whether it's spring, summer or fall you have the perfect New York vacation site! It is a serene place where you are able to enjoy the beauty of the Thousand Islands and the historic town of Sackets Harbor without the crowds and noise. This is a real log cabin nestled in a beautiful heavily wooded area on Military Road just 2 miles from Sackets Harbor village. This is a peaceful space where you can leave your problems and worries behind. The cabin has 2 bedrooms furnished with a full size bed and a set of bunk beds in one bedroom and a queen size log bed in the master bedroom with a sliding glass door to the deck. The master bedroom also has an adorable vanity with mirror. The cabin has a small kitchenette with table and chairs. There is a small refrigerator, coffee maker, microwave and tabletop oven. There is also a Weber gas grill outside for grilling. We are very lucky to have high quality town water which is continuously regulated.
Cabin is in a private wooded setting adjacent to many acres of state land. The beginning of the Black River Bay is situated on the state land behind the cabin. The cabin is within a couple miles to two boat launches... Sackets Harbor and Dexter. The quaint ambiance of Sackets Harbor, a historical village with gourmet restaurants and gift shops, is only 2 miles away. It has a perfect small town atmosphere. The lively activity of Arsenal Street is only a short 6 miles away bustling with restaurants, stores, a mall and entertainment. Please no pets and no smoking in cabin. We now have free internet!!!

Beautiful cabin in a great location

We enjoyed our stay at this adorable cabin! The location was perfect! We were close to all the areas we wanted to visit, yet we were also away from all the hustle and bustle, which is what we like. The cabin was plenty big enough for our family of 6, and had everything we needed.

Sackets Harbor

Nice quiet spot. Close to town and kayak launch. We expected to have a stove but none in the cabin. No problem, used the microwave, toaster oven and gas grill.

Graduation weekend

Really a nice place. Gave us ideas for our WV getaway cabin. Diane was a phone call away if needed but all was fine. Very relaxing and convenient to everything Sackets (including those unbelievable stuffed waffles @ Tin Pan Alley.) Great weekend. TY.

Long weekend away

This was a very relaxing stay for my wife and I. It is a short drive to stores and restaurants, but still very quiet and peaceful. It was still chilly out, so we didn't spend anytime outside. The kitchen is minimal, so we cooked breakfast on the grill using disposable aluminum pans. We made the short, simple drive into Sackets Harbor multiple times to eat and watch the sunset over the water. The cabin is small, but very cute, and Diane answered any questions we had.

Adults getaway

Four adults, three in their 80's, enjoyed this trip to Sackets Harbor. Although there were no pics of the living space, there was plenty of room for all of us to sit and watch a movie on a rainy day. The fridge was small but we used a cooler outside for drinks and brought our own electric fry pan for some cooking. The deck was lovely and mostly shaded. It was easy to get to Dexter for groceries/ice or ice cream (Lickety Split was excellent) and close to Sackets. The owner was very responsive and we appreciated this. Overall, we had a great trip and this cabin met our needs very well.

We had a wonderful time during our stay the cottage was very cozy with lots of space. We were close to Sackets harbor and a short drive to water town and Alexandria bay we also visited many wineries, breweries, and distilleries. We all had a very good time. Thank you

Nice little cabin in nice area

Just as described, pictures very accurate. Other reviews not exaggerated. Was very hot when we were there, and the A/C did a nice job of cooling down the main living area. Nice short trip to the village of Sackets Harbor (kind of reminded us of being in the Hamptons, except on a much smaller scale, less expensive, and much less snobier). Short trip to the St. Lawrence River towns. Wineries were nice (must take the trip to Tug Hill), breweries were good. Lots to do in this area, and nice to come back to the cabin to unwind.

Cozy cabin in the woods

Our family had a great time at your cabin. We enjoyed the privacy and the cozy feel (just like home). Cabin was very clean and towels and linens were provided. My only complaints would be that the beds in the guest room weren't the most comfy and the bathroom had a shower stall, no tub. Made it hard to bathe young children. That aside, I would recommend to others/including my family members who vacation in the area often.

Idyllic

When planning a trip to upstate New York to visit our families, we found the Home Away site and thru that we arranged to rent this property. When we arrived, we found that this lovely log cabin was exactly as described on the website. It was spotlessly clean and neat when we arrived. The owners have set it up to make sure guests have an enjoyable stay. The cabin is close to historic Sackets Harbor, Cape Vincent, and the City of Watertown. There are so many places to visit, so many excellent restaurants and shopping, and activities to engage in, as well as beautiful Lake Ontario - all within just a few miles of this cabin. We have recommended this cabin to some friends, and we most definitely hope to rent it again!
