Charming 2,300 sq ft single family home on two levels that sleeps a total of 8, conveniently located in the heart of Silicon Valley and immersed in the greenery of its lush garden with pool. The home has a unique whimsical, welcoming atmosphere. Feel at home while experiencing a resort-like life style!
The four bedrooms and the two bathrooms are located on second floor. Living space (kitchen, dining room, living room, hallway) are located on ground floor.
In master bedroom there is a comfortable king size bed with a candle-operated fireplace. The large en-suite bathroom, remodeled and faux-finished, has a large glass shower stall and lots of cabinets. Walk-in closet is spacious and organized. Two other rooms are equipped with queen size beds, desk, shelves. The second bathroom, also remodeled and faux-finished, has shower over bathtub and cabinetry. The fourth room has large windows overlooking front yard, L-shaped extra-large desk and can be also used as office or family room. This room has 1 twin bed, with possible addition of a second one.
The professionally equipped kitchen has granite counter tops, Viking range with gas oven, island, two sinks and a second (electric) oven. In the backyard there are several outside seating areas. There is a square table under the gazebo off the kitchen, a round table for 4 with sun umbrella on the deck, and a picnic table, seating for two on front porch. Solar lighting throughout the backyard. Fruit trees, aromatic herbs and, at times, seasonal vegetables growing in the 3 raised beds. The front yard is very spacious, with lavender bushes, olive and peach trees.
Dining room accommodates 6/8. Living Room has a TV, a wood burning fireplace, and a round table overlooking the backyard. High-speed wireless internet. There is a turntable and a large collection of LPs as well as many books in several languages (including children's books) in the bookshelves throughout the house.
No AC. Portable fans are provided.
There are several lounge chairs around the sparkly swimming pool and a hammock on the lawn.
Please note: The nightly rate displayed on website is based on a 4-guests or less occupancy. There is a guest fee of $40/night for each guest after 4. Children are counted as guests.
Events/parties/gatherings are strictly not allowed.
Access to house/backyard/pool/spa is reserved only to registered, paying guests. Please note: Unregistered daytime visitors are allowed on the premises only with written host's consent.
This is a residential neighborhood and quiet times start at 10:30pm. In order not to crowd neighbors, extra cars (beyond the 2 in driveway) are to be parked on the near street (not on the cul-de-sac).
As per VRBO policy, in case of violation of house rules, such as unauthorized events/parties/gatherings and/or unregistered daytime visitors without host's consent and/or unregistered overnight guests, violation of quiet times/smoking/drug or excessive alcohol use: booking will be terminated and penalties applied.
Guests have access to the whole house (as detailed above: 4 bedrooms on second floor, 2 bathrooms also on second floor and backyard).
Areas not included: 1 locked room on second floor, the garage and fenced off/gated side yard with private unit and independent entrance (on right side of the house) which is reserved for host's use and belongings and/or her guests'.
Guests don't have access to amenities not specifically mentioned in description (if in doubt, please ask).
Unheated pool and spa are available to registered guests. A Release of Liability Form for pool/spa use must be signed by all guests using the pool/spa.
Pool doesn't have a fence around and children must be supervised at all times in the backyard.
Pool/spa heating is only upon request. Cost is not included in rent. Gas/electricity cost for pool/spa heating/extra towels is itemized separately. The final total will depend on usage.
Operation of the pool system heating is manual. In case, the host or a person in charge will assist guests pool/spa system operation-turning it on and off. Guests are not to operate system without permission. Guests accept responsibility if any damage is caused by pool use and/or incorrect pool system operation.
