This beach cottage sits on an enormous 121 foot private beach. The house is set back from the beach for the ultimate in privacy. A large, elevated rockery patio on the beach includes a small refrigerator, water, a large propane fire ring, patio furniture and a huge sun umbrella. The cottage is a split level, 3 bedroom, including an attached covered deck and an included hot tub. Low-bank beach with unobstructed views of the Puget Sound shipping lanes and the Olympic Mountains.Tons of opportunity for beach walking, exploring tide pools or just kicking back.

Had a great time at Dave & BJs! Amazing hosts who were accommodating with a request we had, incredible communication and very thoughtful. Clean and cute cottage, the welcome basket and amenities are such a nice touch. Hot tub and views can’t be beat. We will be back!

Dave and BJ are truly some of the kindest people we’ve ever met. They were warm, generous, and communicated so well throughout our stay, making us feel completely at home. We had such a wonderful time. The house is absolutely charming, the hot tub was sparkling clean, and the spacious lot gave us plenty of room for all kinds of fun. The gas fire pit kept us cozy in the evenings, and the sunsets were a showstopper every single night, each one different and absolutely breathtaking. Thank you, Dave and BJ, for helping us create such special memories!

Wonderful stay!

My wife and I spent the weekend here for our anniversary. The beach and views were amazing, the hot tub was great for being able to enjoy the outdoors even on chilly evenings. We didn’t have our kids but all the great stuff they have for kids made us wish they were with us (beach toys, basketball court, games and toys inside). We actually want to plan another trip with the whole family and stay again!

Amazing!

The beach cottage was fantastic. The views were stunning, the house was very clean and organized, there was plenty of space and all the ammeneties you could imagine. The neighborhood was peaceful and walking along the beach was quiet and relaxing. The hosts made our stay that much better, we would love to stay here again and would reccomend anyone stay here as well :)

Sisters trip

Absolutely fabulous! Everything you need in the house and then some. Beautiful beach and outdoor areas. Great hot tub. Close to lovely Langley and several wineries. The only suggestion is a mirror outside the bathroom so someone can do hair or makeup while someone is using the bathroom.

Perfect Beach Getaway

The hosts were very kind and helpful! The house had charm and was well set up for all our needs. We loved the hot tub and fireplace out back, as well as the games and sports equipment provided. We had a wonderful stay and will likely come back!

Girls Weekend

We were in need of a long weekend get-away from the “real world” and just do nothing and this was the perfect place to do just that. The house was quaint and inviting. All the amenities were there, all we needed to bring was our personal belongings and food. The deck was perfect to sit and just stare at the beautiful mountains and water. We walked the beach, played games every night and enjoyed the hot tub. It was a bit too windy to use the gas or wood fire pit but we plan to come back when the weather a bit nicer to enjoy these. We enjoyed the entire experience here and the owners are so nice.

Perfect weekend getaway

My daughter and I stayed here for a girls weekend. The location was perfect! The hosts were very helpful and there were fresh flowers in a vase and homemade raspberry jam in the fridge. We walked the beach every day, warmed up in the hot tub and enjoyed beautiful sunsets by the fire pit. The home itself was very cozy and comfortable and better than we expected. We would definitely stay here again!

Cozy Cottage!

Cozy, quiet, original Whidbey Island cottage with room and fun for all ages! Owners were super nice and helpful. We had our granddaughter with us part of the time so the toy closet was an added bonus. Long walks on the beach and huge lawn to run around on. Beautiful fire pit area, hot tub and very useful bbq. We hope to come and stay again.

Girls getaway

The property was perfect. It was such a great place to walk the beach from, we really never had to leave. You could just stay at their house for your entire trip and never run out of things to do. That is if you like to watch the beach and look out over the water for whales. I highly recommend this place. The island was really amazing to get to, Langley was a really cool town, and the hosts were amazing people - so helpful. Great vacation and I hope to come back one day.

Comfortable Beach Cottage and wonderful location

The cottage on Maxwelton Beach felt like home and the location was just steps away from the sandy beach. It was a perfect place to walk on the beach and spend time with friends. We ate dinner outside while enjoying the view of the water and a couple of beautiful sunsets. The cottage was well equipped and comfortable. The host was helpful and gracious. I would definitely stay here again.

What a gem!

This wonderful beach house was so much better than I even expected! The house is lovely and the huge yard with private beach is probably the best on Maxwelton. The hosts have provided everything you might need, plus special touches like a welcome gift of english muffins, butter and homemade raspberry freezer jam. We were able to celebrate with our large extended family in the huge yard (not inside!) for a pirate treasure hunt followed by relaxing on the seaside deck furnished with comfy couches, umbrellas and a fire pit. The house comes complete with toys for kids, a hot tub with a view, and everything else to make your stay perfect. The only caution would be if you have babies/toddlers, the upstairs loft-style bedroom hallway overlooking the living room & kitchen does not have a baby-proof railing so you'd need to keep an eye on the babies. Otherwise, I can't recommend this house highly enough. Thank you so much to the wonderful thoughtful owners who reside right nextdoor and are sure to make your stay comfortable and memorable!

Charming cottage on the beach

We’ve been back every summer for five years now. The house is bright and airy, well-stocked with dishes, towels, bbq, sand toys for kids, and anything else you need. Owners are friendly and very responsive. Great place for a beach vacation!

Lovely beach cottage

Really enjoyed the quiet neighborhood, and the cottage was comfy. Enjoyed the hot tub the most. And don't worry if u don't know what to do they already have everything u may need or want to know about the Island. I really do recommend this beach cottage. And thanks again for allowing us to stay.
