The Alabama Getaway Vacation Rentals Team is committed to making sure you have the very best vacation possible!! We make check in super easy, onsite at the condo!! Someone from our staff personally checks your rental before your arrival to make sure everything is ready for you!! As one of our guests, you have access to us 24/7 should you need anything, have a question, or see something that needs our attention! We look forward to helping you have the most wonderful vacation possible!!!

CLEAN BED GUARANTEE
All beds are dressed with fresh, luxurious sheets AND fresh bedding/quilts/comforters before EVERY rental! You are guaranteed to have a completely fresh and clean bed!!! You will also find each bathroom stocked with oversized fresh bath towels, hand towels, wash cloths, and bath mats straight from our laundry office! We started this in 2018 when we took our cleaning in house and created our housekeeping division. We have complete control over our property cleaning and maintenance.

WHAT WE STOCK
As common for vacation rentals in our area, we provide one round of bath soaps, shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, and toilet paper in the bathrooms. In the kitchen you will find one round of paper towels laundry detergent, dishwasher detergent, dish soap, and trash bags. These stocked amenities are intended to get you through the first night. We are not set up like a hotel so we do not provide daily housekeeping or amenity restocking. Please bring the extra items you will need for your vacation.

PARKING INFO:
Two parking passes will be included with your reservation. No more than 2 vehicles are allowed per reservation (strictly enforced). Oversized vehicles or trailers not allowed. Please reach out to us if you need assistance finding overflow or oversized offsite parking.

Love the Beach

This unit was well equipped and clean with a location perfect for our needs. The beach was not overly crowded and we met many nice people from our building. The pool was equipped with plenty of chairs and friendly for all ages, however the hot tub was very small. We all enjoyed our stay.

Fun in the Sun

My family and I visited Tidewater #109 for our summer vacation, and it was exactly as it appeared on the website. The accommodations were great meeting all of our needs and expectations. Access to the beach was easy. Children loved the pools. This facility is very family oriented, and we will definitely stay again in the future.

The pictures make it look a lot more glamorous than reality, but it is everything you need, it’s clean and smells nice. Beach access and pool were very good. Communication was excellent! Easy check in/out. Would recommend.

I only had to problem with this place one was they had a broken screw on the top rail of the balcony and in the Second bedroom the bed was very uncomfortable and I wish they would have had a bigger roadside sign other then that it was an good I’d give it a 7 out of 10

The floors needed to be moped. Patio door could not be locked because it was broken. Needs to be sprayed for pest and roaches.

Overall our stay was great. We did have a few issues. The bed in the middle bedroom is in really bad shape and bathroom did not have any hot water. The bedroom closest to the front door had missing slats on the blinds on the door to the balcony, the balcony did not have a chair and the TV did not work. The sliding glass door in the primary bedroom was very difficult to lock.

Not what I expected

From the moment we got off the elevator and walked toward the room I was observing the dated building. As soon as we opened the door to the room the smell was overwhelming. Very strong musty smell. If this was a hotel I would have asked for another room. The photos of the unit looked ready good online but in person it’s very dated. The windows/sliders in the primary & family room have are very old and hard to slide & need to be replaced. The seal is broken on both so hard to see clearly outside. Found a cockroach in the bathroom. Not all the TV’s work and tried to text stating that but no response. A fresh coat of paint would really help. The air fresheners we purchased helped the odor… this is not a place I would recommend or stay in again.

Frustrating stay.

We have stayed at the Tidewater for years and have even stayed in this unit before, but we have never had such a frustrating stay as this one. This unit is just old and in need of updating. There was no sofa bed as stated, which we had counted on. One of the living room chairs was like something from a Drs. office, very uncomfortable for reading or watching TV. The dining table only had 5 chairs so one of us was always having to sit on a barstool to eat. The kitchen stove was barely usable. The stove eyes were just unsafe to use and it took 35 minutes just to bake biscuits in the oven. It had the worst stocked kitchen I've ever used. I had to use the beater from an electric mixer as a whisk when making gravy. Although there were plenty of wine bottles openers available. Our food stayed out on the counter tops and on the small living room table because there is no pantry or food closet here. I hope the owners will consider making some updates to this unit. As for the Tidewater itself, the gym equipment has not been updated since my grandson was 8 years old, he is 20 years old now. We are definitely done here.

Condo was great. Only problems we had were the elevators going out. Pretty much only had one elevator operating the whole trip. Thank goodness we were on the first floor and could take the stairs.

Felt like home

We had a great stay at Tidewater! The condo was very spacious, clean, and comfortable! The access to the beach was super convenient. The beaches were beautiful. My only small complaint would be the location of the grill. It was on the side of the building inconveniently located. It would of been nice to have it by the pool. Other than that we had a great stay.

Much Needed Beach Vacation

Beach trips have always been our best vacations, and this one didn’t disappoint! Communication was the best we’ve ever had when renting! Any questions were answered immediately. The unit was exactly as described, and beautifully decorated. Each bedroom having its own bathroom was wonderful! We also enjoyed the outdoor furniture on the covered balcony! We didn’t want the week to end, and we’ll definitely be coming back to this location.

Great get away

Great vacation! Only draw back was a 1 broken elevator and there are only 2 for the entire building! Thankful that our unit was on the 1st floor so we were able to take the stairs most of the time! Overall great experience!
