Banfields Retreat...

Banfield Retreat is a true beachside retreat. The open tropical design immediately relaxes you as soon as you enter.

Located across the road from the beach, the house has uninterrupted views of the beach and Dunk Island

You can even laze in bed and enjoy the views.

The gentle sea breezes are captured throughout the house via louvers and sliding glass doors. For those warm nights we have in the tropics the home is fully air conditioned and for the few cool nights the air-conditioning is reverse cycle.

The open plan kitchen is well equipped or if you wish to just relax on the verandah and enjoy alfresco dining, there is a fabulous BBQ for cooking the fish you caught that day or a juicy steak.

Why not jump in and cool off in the plunge pool, whilst you wait!

If cooking dinner is not your agenda, it is only a short walk to some of Mission Beach's popular eateries and restaurants.

Wongaling Beach Shopping Village is approximately 1/2 km away.

Banfields Retreat is an ideal couple or family retreat. It offers 3 queen size bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. All bedrooms have been thoughtfully decorated and are ideal for that blissful sleep we all wish for on holidays!

This home is one to be considered if you are looking for a relaxed beach holiday with the hint of luxury.

A lovely spot

A very relaxing, beautiful home in a stunning spot right across from the beach. The house has everything you need for a family and is very well thought out. A perfect spot for a weekend getaway with friends.

Awesome!

We enjoyed a very relaxing couple of nights at Banfield Retreat. Spacious and comfortable home with plunge pool, directly opposite beach. We will definitely return!

Amazing location

What can I say....this house is beautiful. If I could I would buy it. Perfect location, perfect set up, well stocked house. It even has beach towels to use. We will definitely be back. Air conditioning and fans everywhere.

Impressive

Stayed 2 nights, was very relaxing. The house is beautiful, beds are comfy, had everything we needed and plenty of room for all of us. Gas bottle ran out for bbq lunch, rang caretakers and the bought one down immediately, great service. We would definitely stay here again.

Comfortable and large beach house

Beautiful, modern three double, two bathroom with plunge pool this house is just across the road from Wongaling Beach. With a large lounge, kitchen and separate dining room this house has front and rear decks. Could see the sea from the lounge, dining and main bedroom areas (and listen to the waves at night). Great beach for little kids with shallow wave area and wide easy walking foreshore. We found a kid's playground a few hundred metres to the right and a great fish and chip shop. Stinger nets access would need transport but in non stinger season swimming is just a stone's throw away.

Beautiful location

Roomy, clean, comfortable, beautifully furnished, all the creature comforts provided, big beds, large bathrooms & laundry, lots of towels, plenty of room for a family of 5. Kitchen well stocked with crockery etc, dining table & outdoor areas large and comfortable to use. Great location with a view of Dunk Island out the front, easy access to the beach. You can hear the ocean at night. Airconditioned and also ceiling fans so easy to stay cool, lots of louvre windows. A very beach house feel and so easy to relax in and tune out from the world. Easy 5 minute car trip into Mission Beach and same to South Mission Beach. Also great spot for jumping on bikes and exploring the area.

This house is beautiful house to stay in while in Mission Beach. 3 good size bedrooms, large kitchen with everything you need. Nice deep plunge pool with a great view. Its also only 5 min walk to Dunk Isle water taxi and Millers hotel which has the best food I have had in a long time

Outstanding location and perfect for the family

We really enjoyed our stay with stunning views to Dunk Island and super easy access to the beach. The property has everything for a perfect family vacation and has large and very usable entertainment areas. The property was perfectly presented and was very well prepared for our stay. Highly recommended.

Amazing!

This place is in a great location, right on the beach! Great for families or a group of friends hanging out on a great weekend! I stayed for two night with my partner and another couple and we did not want to leave! Highly recommend this house! Will be coming back!

Beautiful house in great location!

This house is in a wonderful location - straight across from beach, with Miller's Bar & Grill and a Thai restaurant a block or so away, as well as the main supermarket and other restaurants and shops quite close. Lovely short walk along the beach or footpath to playgrounds. The house itself is so comfortable, clean and has beautiful decor. Beds are comfy, rooms are large and living area is open plan, with everything you need in the kitchen! Even tea & coffee provided for your first night (or first few, depending on how much you drink!!). Fridge is great with ice & water dispenser, which was so lovely in Summer! Little plunge pool was lovely for our baby - about chest depth on adult and quite warm (beach is so close if you wanted colder water!). Ensuite is huge, with great rainshower, and second bathroom has a bath. BBQ, deck and sun lounges very relaxing! Would highly recommend! Owners very easy to contact and great to deal with, as well as the booking agent!

Beautiful retreat

Excellent accommodation, roomy and to a very high standard. Set in an idyllic situation across from the beach where we spent lots of time walking. Good dining in restaurants/taverns nearby. Couldn't ask for any more. Would highly recommend.

Fantastic house in great location

We totally enjoyed our stay. The house is spacious, comfortable, clean, and looks great. I would very highly recommend this as a place to stay. It was our favourite in our whole trip and we wish we could have stayed longer. The beach is right outside, and the water taxi to dunk island just two minute's walk away. Perfect for us as a family with three children. Thanks again for your hospitality!

Beautiful home

The house is beautiful, we stayed for 5 nights and were a group of 3 couples. The photos don't quite do it justice - the rooms are spacious, the kitchen is well equipped and the location was unbeatable. I would highly recommend this property
