Quiet and Relaxing

Old world charm

We had a lovely time staying at Branwen’s Retreat. The cottage is ideally located close to Berry, Gerringong and Jervis Bay, but on a beautiful property away from the main road. Comfy bed, well equipped kitchen and great hot tub.

Lovely cottage in a beautiful location

Really comfortable, quiet and serene. Loved looking out over the paddocks to the hills and sunsets. The miniature cows grazed in the adjacent field and a hare popped its head up to sniff the breeze before disappearing into the longer grass.

Lovely, cute and vintage accomodation experience!

Everything was perfect, the check-in process and the hot tub! Only critiques is that it does get hot upstairs which is a concern in the summer months, and also there were quite a few bugs than expected. Overall was a very good experience and a lovely host ! 4.5/5

Hi Andrew Glad you enjoyed your stay, despite the summer Xmas beetles etc. one of the joys of being in nature and country life. All the windows are of course insect proof but leaving doors open and lights on can attract them inside. Sorry if upstairs got a bit warm, the trick with a double insulated, passive solar designed home, is to open it up when the sea breezes come through in the afternoon. Sorry if I forgot to make that clear to you. But pleased you had a good time over the new year weekend.

Relaxing peaceful country location

Great little cottage in a beautiful and peaceful location. Great verandah space with two different seating areas. The hot tub/spa outside is awesome the best part for us as it was covered in and could still use it when it was raining. The downstairs bed was a little hard but the upstairs beds were softer. The decor upstairs isn't everyone's cup of tea but overall is a nice space with beautiful views out each window. The daybeds upstairs were nice to just hangout and enjoy the country views. The only thing that was disappointing was it smelt musty when we arrived and spiders and cobwebs on the ceiling area in parts also the two frypans that were there were dirty and old and couldn't use them. Also if more than four people are staying there you will need to take pillows as the daybeds and single bed upstairs didn't have pillows but this didn't affect us as there was just two of us. Overall a nice little cottage in the country with great views and very peaceful with a great covered outdoor spa area and plenty of verandah space to relax outside.

So glad you enjoyed your stay and everything Branwens has to offer, including its country style decor. Just to clarify, provide pillows for the numbers staying. There are ample pillows for all beds we just make up beds as required. Sorry you thought the cast iron frying pans not to your liking, there are choices. Perhaps all the deluges of rain we were having affected the atmosphere on your entry, the house is well aired usually. We do keep an eye out for cobwebs, one of the challenges of living in the country, sounds like our multi-legged friends took advantage.

Lovely hideaway

Nice clean cottage in a quiet rural location. A bit hard to find, but apart from that it was a lovely stay. The hot tub was wonderful. Kate was very helpful .

Just what I needed

A beautiful little place. A fantastic location, close to all the beautiful beaches and Berry. Quite and peaceful with everything you need. Kates communication was fantastic and the hot tub was a real highlight!

Brilliant short break

We had a great time just enjoying the peace and quiet here, with the occasional trip to the beach and the wineries near by. The house is fabulously well equipped and cool even on a hot summer's night!

The perfect escape from the city

Beautiful and peaceful, we actually spent more time than we thought we would just relaxing in the house! The views, spa and nature was just so refreshing. Easy driving to all the great beaches and small towns. We’ll be back! Thanks Kate!

Relaxing getaway 2h from Sydney

Branwen's Retreat is a great place to unwind for one or two couples. We particularly enjoyed the hot tub and the proximity to the winery next door. Thanks for the pleasant stay.

A Lovely country escape

Beautifully presented house with all the facilities needed for a getaway. my kids enjoyed every bit we stayed specially the pink room.It was the first time my 3 boys liked something in pink😀. We will not think twice to visit this place again.

Charming country property that is well equipped with everything needed for a relaxing getaway.

We really enjoyed our stay. The house was comfortable and the location was great, situated close but not too close to all local attractions. A lovely escape to the country !

We loved the peaceful surroundings and beautiful presentation of the property! Kate was awesome

The country setting and ambiance of the property was extremely peaceful and left us feeling relaxed and ready to bounce into 2019 back in Sydney! I would highly recommend this property to prospective guests! Kate and her husband were very helpful after a large storm took out the power one night we couldn’t have asked for more from them! Waking to cows, birds and the pet horse was a pleasing change from sirens and semi trailers that we awaken to in Sydney every day!

Relaxing retreat

Had an enjoyable girls weekend away in this cute little cottage. The owners were lovely and approachable. Beautiful outlook and slightly hidden away while still close to Berry and Nowra if you wanted to go anywhere.

We had a fantastic weekend here. Complete relaxation in a beautiful immaculately clean vintage homely house.The kitchen had everything you needed and Kate had left supplies for breakfast in the fridge. She was very welcoming when we arrived and after explaining how everything worked she left us to ourselves for the remainder of the weekend. We loved the hot tub and sitting on the veranda admiring the beautiful countryside. We stayed in the room upstairs and had a great nights sleep. I would definitely recommend this accommodation. ( Tips: We had takeaway from the Thai on the Friday which wasn't that nice and they forgot part of our order. Wouldn't recommend. We went wine tasting in Coolangata Estate and Two Figs Estate. We preferred Two Figs but both had very friendly welcoming staff.

Stayed at this stunning property for my hen's weekend. Us girls never wanted to leave. The quaint cottage felt like a girls dream in a dolls house, surrounded by gorgeous country side and rolling hills. Had lovely decor and an awesome spa! Definitely would recommend any one to stay here can't speak highly of Kate and the amazing accomodation. Pictures just don't do this magical place justice!

Six of us stayed at Branwens for a girls' weekend. It was a perfect spot for us. It is a lovely, comfortable place to sit and relax and catch up. The set up was great and really suited our needs. It's a gorgeous cottage with a beautiful kitchen with all that we needed, and the breakfast provisions were great. We also were able to have a bed each. The location was far enough from things to feel like we got away, but close enough to meet our needs (shopping and food). This is a lovely place to escape to.
