This beautiful, inner city, stylishly refurbished 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom Victorian terrace house (circa 1890) is perfect for families, friends, or business travellers. It's only approx 10 minutes to Melbourne city by tram (numbers 57 & 59), which stop directly out the front. From this property you can very easily access all Melbourne's fine restaurants, cafes, shopping precincts, city attractions such as Queen Victoria Market, major event venues including Flemington Racecourse, Moonee Valley Racecourse and Melbourne Showgrounds. It's located within walking distance to Melbourne Zoo, the huge Royal Park, the State Netball & Hockey Centre, public golf course, public tennis courts, Melbourne University and major hospitals such as the Royal Children's, Royal Women's, and Royal Melbourne.
We charge per stay, not per person. The maximum number of people is 6.
Discounts apply to bookings of 7-nights or more.
Bedding, bath towels and basic supplies are provided.
The property is not serviced daily, however, we do provide plenty of towels and there are laundry facilities in the house. Bookings of 10-nights or longer are offered a free weekly mid-stay apartment clean, which includes changing bed linen and refreshing bath towels.
Beds can be configured as follows: Bedroom One (with ensuite) - 1 x double bed Bedroom Two - 1 x king bed, or 2 x long-single (twin beds) Bedroom Three - 1 x king bed, or 2 x long-single (twin beds)
Porta-cots and high chairs are available upon request (at no charge) - cot linen is not supplied.
On-street car parking permit provided. There is no off-street car parking.
WiFi Internet is provided at no charge.
The house itself is stylishly furnished, is fully heated and air conditioned throughout, and has more modern conveniences than one would normally expect, with HD televisions in all three bedrooms as well as in the living room, and a surround sound home theatre lifestyle system. The living area has two 2-seater sofas, plus a 3-seater ottoman, and the dining room has a 6-seater table and chairs. There's also a lovely courtyard out the back with a 6-seater outdoor table setting. The kitchen is well-equipped with most of your general cooking needs, plus toaster, kettle, stove/oven and a microwave oven. In the separate laundry there's a combo washer/dryer appliance, trough, iron and ironing board. There are hair dryers in both bathrooms and shower over shallow bath in the central bathroom. The kitchen and bathrooms are beautifully appointed with brand new modern stone benchtops and high quality fittings and appliances.
You will be greeted personally on your arrival Check in: anytime after 2pm (luggage drop and key collection can be from 10:30am by prior arrangement) - Yes, a late night arrival is fine. Check out: before 10am (luggage can be stored until 1pm)

Family Christmas Getaway
The house was just beautiful, had everything we needed, plenty of space for us all. The warmth and feeling of a place makes you feel at home and this house did that for us. As for getting around Melbourne, tram and train stops were just up the road in walking distance which worked out really well. Definitely will keep in mind for when we plan to visit Melbourne again in the future.

Great Little Hideaway
Mooranda was a lovely surprise. Tucked away in Parkville right on the tram line and at a busy intersection, the house was remarkably quiet and had everything that you might need for a short stay in busy Melbourne. Parklands, a small supermarket with liquor shop were close by so that you could stay in or catch the tram into the city and dine out accordingly. Most certainly I would stay here again.

Good value Melbourne base
Mooranda served us very well as a base in Melbourne for a few days. Mel the property owner was very responsive to any queries we had. The house was comfortable although a little tired and even though it is on a main road the noise was barely audible from the house. It was very convenient for getting the tram into town. Overall a very good value stay.

A little GEM
This home was very convenient for us. Great access to the train and tram. The beds were comfortable. Heating made the home comfortable. Whilst located on a busy road the noice transfer was minimal. The kitchen was well appointed and catered to our needs. We would definitely stay here again.

Property is located next to very busy road so front bedroom occupants will be affected. Location is perfect for transport links however if you prefer to walk, there are no restaurants or bars close by.
Good size property best suited to families. Cleaning needs to be improved but mostly around dusting.
Mel the host was easy to contact and was very accommodating.

Great location, good for young families
Great location with trams on your doorstep and zoo in a 15 minute walk. House is located on a very busy street so parking is around the corner, including Ubers-not a big deal though.
The end bedroom is just a sliding door off the kitchen/dining room so not overly private or quiet.
House could do with a good deep clean but rough enough
Nice outdoor area unfortunately not utilised to its full potential as outdoor seating is old and uncomfortable.
Overall would recommend to stay if your looking for something easy and accessible

Needs a GOOD CLEAN
Stayed 5 nights over the Easter Weekend, had a few issues but Mel the manager was absolutely amazing to deal with

* On a VERY busy & noisy main road
* VERY dirty, cobwebs inside, dusty, filthy rugs
* The ensuite shower is unusable, water floods everywhere
* Lounge aircon has a major leak
* Outdoor furniture is rusty
* TV needs an update, the colour is very 'red'
* Price affordable

* Close to city & Zoo
* There is a park 2 minutes walk
We wouldn't stay there again unfortunately, it's just way too noisy, the only usable bathroom is super tiny & the property was very dirty

Very Enjoyable stay
The accommodation fitted us as a Family of 4 (2 Adults and two Teenagers) perfectly. Everything provided - most comfortable and tidy. The location close to the city was a big plus - with direct access to trams making getting around very easy.

Cozy and close to everything
Thanks to Mel for a very efficient, easy process from first enquiry to check out. We loved having a space to relax in or lock and leave for the day. Maroonda is a beautifully appointed home near the city centre with excellent access to trams, trains, groceries, Royal Park, and on the right side of the city for trips out to the Yarra Valley.

What a wonderful experience for our family of 5. Easy check in and check out process no fuss, photos do not do this accomodation justice it was exquisite. Location is perfect with multiple tram stops near and as always nothing short to do in Melbourne. Thanks for the stay we will be back! Don’t hesitate to book.
