This charming studio sits on a hill looking over our bustling fishing channel. Relax on your private deck and soak up the pristine views of Kodiak Island. Take your time and brew the perfect cup of coffee in your warm and cozy, oasis. Fuel up here with all the amenities of home, as you plot out your daily adventures. Or perhaps reward yourself with a day of leisure and calm inside to enjoy cable TV, internet, or a good book.

We also offer a number of rental vehicles and a whale watching tours. The vehicles seat from 5-7 people and include SUV's, compacts, and trucks. The 4WD vehicles are ideal for running up and down the road with your outdoor gear. Inquire with owner if interested.

Location was close to all services but very quiet. People with mobility issues would have trouble accessing the rental. Definitely would choose this property again.

It is exactly what my son and I were looking for. Close to the harbor, a few minutes from Safeway and Walmart. Very clean and easily accessible.

Needs real coffee pot or easy to use. I don’t think a French Press pot is ideal for vacation users. I had to pull up video to learn how before I could even have a cup of coffee. This property is NOT handicap friendly. We were okay, but just in case someone needs to know.

Quiet and comfortable.

It is a great unit for privacy as this unit is detached from he main house. Nice view from the balcony. Newly renovated bathroom. Host, Stephen was extremely kind and welcoming. Communication was very good. He was very responsive with any questions and requests. Would definitely stay here again.

Not what we expected

We were able to find the listing without a problem. Parking and getting into the apartment were simple. The apartment had not been cleaned. The owner responded quickly. We left while they cleaned the room. This was inconvenient. The internet went out. It took awhile but eventually came back on. There are no blackout curtains and it does not get dark until after 11pm in the summer. The listing says there is a coffee maker, carbon monoxide and smoke alarms. None were available. There is baseboard electric heat, but it does not work. A small space heater was provided. The sofa that opens to a full bed is very uncomfortable. There are no lamps all lighting is harsh ceiling lights. It is centrally located.

Weekend get away!

This was a perfect place for a quick weekend getaway. Quite, comfortable and had everything we needed including a great view. Thanks to Stephen for the car rental after our snafu with the rental car place let us rent his car for the weekend. It was new, comfortable and probably better then what we would of got through the big chain rentals. Thanks again Stephan we will recommend this place to all and we will be back! Go Big Red!! Nice little kodiak place

Centrally located for our needs. Street parking was easy. This place was small and perfect for our home base while adventuring. Would stay here again.

Convenient and Cozy

Overall, a decent place to stay. Convenient location in the town of Kodiak. It is off a busy road, but we didn't notice much road noise at all. It's street parking, but we didn't have any problems finding a spot close by. Communication with the Stephen was very good, however, there was miscommunication with the housekeeping. When we arrived at check in time, we could tell the unit had not been cleaned. Stephen quickly had housekeeping come in. Slight inconvenience really. Housekeeping forgot a few items, but those issues were fixed in a timely manner. Some detailed cleaning could be improved (i.e. top of fridge was quite dusty; bathroom sink not cleaned thoroughly). It's a cute little place overall and had everything we needed.

We loved this place! It was quiet, overlooked the channel and was close to the needed places.

Comfortable and just right for a couple of fishing fanatics. It had everything we needed. Kudos to Steven for his hospitality!! We'll stay again and recommend this location to all we know. Wish we could have had it longer than our four nights but that's just the nature of reservations. We'll book earlier next time. Thanks Steven!!!

Stephen and Kelli have 3 young boys (13, 11, & 6) that keep them quite busy and entertained:) Stephen works as an educator in the Kodiak Island Borough School District while Kelli works at the Kodiak Baptist Mission. We enjoy gill netting for salmon, long-lining for halibut, sport fishing, kayaking, backpacking, hiking, and exploring our beautiful island. We continue to be amazed and blessed to call this place home! It is with much joy that we are able to offer you a great place to stay during your unforgettable Kodiak experience. Come and see!

After 15 years of island life we are daily amazed by Kodiak's beauty and opportunity for adventure. After a busy day out playing, the warm, inviting, home atmosphere will be the perfect place to unwind with family and friends. Our home will afford you the opportunity to experience Kodiak how we do, away from a crowded hotel, with an amazing channel view, and for a very reasonable price.
