Stay at this recently refurbished, child-friendly modern and comfortable cottage with fully equipped kitchen, laundry and outdoor deck.

Enjoy the lovely deck area at the back of the house with barbecue and external bath (use for storing wetsuits or hosing off)….perfect for a relaxing afternoon or evening over a bottle of wine.

LOCATION
Located off Phillip Island Road and with a bus stop at the top of the street, guests are less than 5 minutes walk from the RSL, Woolworths complex, Coles supermarket, specialty shops, restaurants, takeaway outlets and a short walk to the Cowes North facing beach.

A bus stop at the top of the street provides access to local bus routes and a V-Line coach to/from Flinders St or Southern Cross stations.

Perfect property for two single motorcyclists and would equally be perfect for two couples . Great location and was just as advertised.Will definitely be back again

Holy Cowes

I went and stayed at Holy Cowes property last weekend, and was a perfect little place for what the kids and I needed. Easy to walk into town, or go to RSL, nice quiet location. Would definitely stay again. Thanks Louisa.

It was effortless to host Nathan and family. Very self-sufficient and no issues. Place was left clean upon departure. Would be more than happy to host Nathan again.

Very frustrated hot water took almost 18 hours to heat no gas in the BBQ

Tried to communicate to Louise but claimed I have done nothing but complain since being there because I turned the hot water on at 2 pm and at 930 pm water was still cold when my daughter wanted a shower went and paid for all this meat for the BBQ to get back and find no gas in the BBQ I don't think pictures should be taken of the BBQ if.it not working and when a person questions it and get told I do nothing but complain is very rude I just paid almost 3000 for a week and $80 on meat and house should be sprayed for spiders my kids and wife are scared of crawling insects and the house was very musty when we opened the door kids struggled to open shower door as it jammed at the bottom they didn't want to Break anything and last but not least the fridge is shocking freezer is fine but fridge does get cold enough

Without listing every issue, I would not welcome this guest again. As is clear from his review, he complained daily…power turned off due to the heat across the island and it was my fault, sent constant rude messages, had issues with the BBQ despite 2 full gas bottles. There were no insects; a cleaner came the day of check-in. Am lucky that guests like this are an exception rather than the norm.

Disappointed

Although in a convenient location close to the main strip, we were disappointed with our stay at this property. The property is dated, tired and had a musky smell throughout. Upon check in we found cobwebs in the corner of nearly every room. We felt uncomfortable putting our two young children to sleep in a bedroom filled with cobwebs. There were cobwebs above the fridge, in the bathroom and in the lounge room. There were stains on the couch and the outdoor table looked like it had not been cleaned in weeks. Upon making contact with the owner she told me the property had been professionally cleaned to two days ago. I found this strange as we had asked for an early check in but were declined as there were people checking out that morning so unsure why the property was not cleaned on the same day that we were checking in. The owner although initially tried to solve for the issue at hand soon became condescending by telling me that spiders were part of nature and that no one had ever called her to complain about spiders webs. She said that is was not a high end property but this does not justify the cleanliness or the fact that the house was filled with cobwebs which were more than a couple of days old. We have travelled all around the world in a variety of different types of accommodation and have never checked into a property looking like this or been spoken as customers in this tone. If it was not a public holiday long weekend we would have found somewhere else to stay but were left with no choice.

I have rented my property for many years via many sites and encountered no problems before. I must say that I was nervous about renting to these guests given there is no photo with the profile, there are no reviews and the communication in the lead-up to the property was minimal (and I sent a lengthy email with tips on the property along with what to do around Phillip Island). I was surprised to then receive a call upon arrival stating that there were cobwebs at the property....I said I would call my cleaner to attend and she thought the request was ridiculous. I spoke to the guests and even offered to head up from Melbourne to Phillip Island to sweep up the cobwebs myself. The guests opted not to take up this offer but I feel they were fishing for a refund as they kept saying that they felt the cobwebs were dangerous to their children. They sent photos of which you can barely see anything which is hilarious. Mind you, these are cobwebs from a couple of daddy long legs who decided to settle after our cleaner 2 days beforehand. I asked whether the guest could simply sweep away the cobwebs with a broom or even use Mortein. She kept saying that she is on holidays and it would be a bad experience. My response seems heartless but I really can't control cobwebs and think I went above and beyond by even offering to clean myself. I don't think these guests would have been happy with any suggestion and would definitely not recommend as guests based on my experience.
