This rental property is located directly on private Moody beach with steps onto the beach and has 5 bedrooms and three bathrooms. There is very limited availability because most of the families that rent the house have been returning year after year for 20-40 years. The property includes a BBQ and beach toys. This is a unit in a 2-unit building with side by side units. Similar to most cottages on the beach, the minimum rental on season is one week in the high season. You must select Sat-Sat in the summer because the rentals are weekly - but the high season is often fully booked due to high demand.

The 5th large lower level room is the only one without direct heat and it can get colder in Sept and after.

Where can I start.. I don't recommand this house. When we arrived, we were very disapointed. The house is not well maintain at all. We called the owner to let him know and to tell him that there was no toilet paper upstair and had problem with the heater. He did nothing. After we wrote him that we had problem with the internet his only answer was that the people before us had no problem and again did nothing. We tried multiple times and it never works. Fortunately a kind neighbour give us his acces the last day. We chose this house because we were four and everyone wanted to have his own bedroom. When we went to sleep there was a mouse in one of the bedroom down stairs. The owner is aware of the problem because we found mouses trap under the beds. Its unacceptable. He should at least advertise the people renting his house. So we ended to sleep in the same bedroom upstairs to avoid the mouses. I have many pictures to prove that the house is in bad conditon. The only good thing is the outside view and that you are near the beach.

This review was from 2022 prior to upgrades and offering linen service. The review is not accurate. Most renters are repeat and the property is not rented often through these systems, and this renter was an outlier in our experience.

Girls Trip 2022

Great house! Could have been cleaner, and needs some updates. But for the most part it was fine. Right on the beach with a nice patio. The people beside us were great in both sides. The ones in the house with us were very helpful. I hope we can be beside them again. The downstairs is damp so use the dehumidifier!

Amazing stay!

After 20 years of summer visits, this was our first fall visit to Wells Beach...We had amazing long weekend at this property! Our extended family of 9 found this property to be clean, with plenty of room for everyone to spread out. The location can't be beat, and there was plenty of oceanfront seating for the older folks that were a little unsteady actually walking onto the beach. The outdoor firepit was a lovely addition during the cool October nights that we visited. The kitchen was no-frills, but had everything that we needed to do some simple cooking, and the full size fridge and additional beverage fridge had plenty of space for our food and drinks. We found the mattresses to be comfortable, and there was plenty of drawers and closet space available in each of the bedrooms. We can't wait to come back!

Premiere Location

Million dollar location on a million dollar beach! Walk out the door and put your toes right in the water. Sun, sand, surf right at your door, and great seafood minutes away. Do yourself a favor and get takeout from Wells Beach Lobster Pound and eat at the picnic table in the backyard with the surf breaking just feet away!

Great stay on Moody Beach

This rental was right on Moody Beach with plenty of beds and multiple access points to get in and out of the house. A bathroom on each floor was a great feature! Plenty of parking and such a perfect location. You can walk out the back door right onto the beach. Would love to come back again!

A week in Wells

We had a very enjoyable time. The house is right on the ocean. We did rent just one side. We had 11 people (mostly kids). The house is not fancy, but fair priced for the accommodations.

Great family beach house

This is obviously an older family owned beach house. It has a fully equipped kitchen and a cosy seating area with a view of the ocean. Plenty of bedrooms and a wonderful outside area over looking the ocean with chairs picnic table and a fire pit. Lots of toys for young children

Great house!

This unit is a terrific deal! It is right on the public way and the kitchen and living areas are pretty small, but you can’t beat the location! The owner was great to work with too. We had an amazing trip!

Location was great!

Loved the location! Owner was very responsive to our needs and great to deal with. Place needed a few repairs from constant use, but i would definitely come back again !

Simple, clean and convient

We loved the simple house with lots of space on three levels. Nothing fancy, just the way I like it. Home was very clean and conviently located on the beach. Fantastic place to take kids who are confident on narrow stairs. Amazing ocean view. Kitchen was well stocked, only thing missing was a steamer basket. Bedrooms were a good size, with enough drawer space. I would have liked some mirrors in the bedrooms. Living room was small but lots of seating made it comfortable with 10 people. Could use some small endtables or folding tv tables. We had a great stay!!

Family beach vacation

On the beach

We enjoyed our stay with location on the beach and being able to have our dog with us. Dennis was very responsive especially before arrival and helped us to with as much information as we needed.
