Fees and charges will apply for excess guests not agreed with the owners in advance.

Extra Guests (Adults or Children) are charged at $20 per person per night, 4 night minimum stay rates will apply. (eg: extra guest charge -minimum charge will be $80 p/p per stay plus $20 p/p per night thereafter after first 4 nights of stay. )

The new contents and cleanliness of the property cannot be faulted. The host provided us with a well written welcome pack - all appliances and equipment were therefore easy to follow. The host provided many “forgotten” items such as cooking oil, washing power etc which were not the so-called “value” / cheap items. There were other little gifts left for us and the host was responsive almost immediately. In terms of the outside traffic and the 60km road, it didn’t bother us because we were up before 7am, but the host had provided ear plugs. The garden was very well maintained. I would highly recommend this property.

Charming Property

We stayed in this property for 8 days. Nice size backyard, inside is everything we needed. Very comfortable beds.

a few surprises

The property has no on street parking between 7am and 7pm weekdays; a major road requiring a passenger to stand on the street to guide a safe reversing exit. The driveway was small sideways making it difficult to get in and out of both driver side doors due to the fence. Walking from the car to the front door the pavement is uneven and I kicked my foot twice almost stumbling - there is no marking to warn the person using the pavement. The adjacent Neighbour's house had two old mattresses on the footpath. The third morning of our stay we noticed that one of the mattresses was on the footpath of our host's house. And it stayed there all day, It migrated back to its original position the following day. On the first night of our stay we entertained some guests (nice back yard and a good barbecue). However when I was walking them out of the property to the side street (where they had to park) there was a mentally ill person on the footpath in front of the house. I am a registered nurse and he was floridly psychotic - we had to carefully move around him and he tried to engage me when I was walking back to the house. The neighborhood is a concern along with the above inconveniences I encountered. I would not recommend it. Furthermore the kettle open close button malfunctioned when I used it and I was requested to replace it. I feel it was faulty but was charged.

Greg, It is disappointing that you felt the need to leave this retaliatory review in response for charging you for breaking the push button kettle lid opener, which with normal use would never break as per the photo's we sent you. We only charged you because the kettle was fairly new being in use there for less than 12 months. The kettle would have either had to be dropped / knocked or button pushed forcefully till it broke. With regards to your other issues. I have gone back over ring camera footage of entrance and driveway and can't see where you had any issues with the driveway or reversing out, nor did I see you stumbling or kicking your foot with thongs on. I did see on your arrival day, a number of people arriving with beers / ice, and note that we can clearly see on the footage that there was plenty of parking available at the front of our house and neighbour’s house. Addison Road is not a major road, just a connector road but can be busy during some times of the day. The only parking restriction on our side of the street is between 7am-9am for a bike lane which you will find on most roads in South Australia. On the other side the restriction for the bike lane is between 4pm -6pm. which is to assist those riding bikes to work or school. Where you made note of neighbours 3 doors up leaving out “mattresses” – these were placed out the front in preparation for a hard rubbish pickup which also happens here in South Australia. They were picked up by council on Tuesday morning. With regards to the “mentally ill” person out walking, I can’t reply to that one as I have never encountered anyone like this on my nightly walks as I too live 5 mins from the property and walk past quite often. We also own and manage the long term rental property next door where the tenant is very quiet and has been there since 2013. I find your scathing review quite contradictory to the "thank you for a lovely stay" note which was left for us on the dining table at the end of your stay.

wonderful

We had an excellent stay where everything was catered for in this house. The kitchen was amazing with just about everything you could ask for. The cooling worked a treat in the house and with high temps outside it was lovely and cool inside. Games to keep us occupied and it was great to be able to be able to wash and dry clothes as well. Great BBQ that we used quite a few times as well. Only suggestion, and it is only a small one is to have some baking paper and maybe one or 2 oven trays. Otherwise everything was excellent

Satisfied travellers

This property was chosen for its proximity to family when my daughter and I visited for a family celebration. We were pleasantly surprised to find how well the house is set-up. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the house was very clean and obviously well cared for - we were provided with every convenience including provision of a high chair for grandchild. Only drawback was pantry space, but this was not a great issue! Lovely to have a well maitained yard to sit out in and enjoy the warm weather.

Perfect in Pennington

Superb home, in a great location. Easy to access bus to Adelaide and Port Adelaide. 10 minute drive to either. Close to shopping centre. This home had everything we needed. Bed was super comfy. Stayed cool despite multiple days over 40c. Look forward to staying again.

Excellent property.

5 NZ Ladies stayed and there was nothing we could fault. The house was comfortable and well stocked. It was in easy reach of bus stops and restaurants. We were close to Royal Adelaide golf course which was what we over for to watch the Adelaide Open. Would recommend this property to anyone to rent.

Fantastic property

A fantastic property with everything you could ever need. We arrived Good Friday and with limited shops open it was a god send to have milk already in the fridge for a cuppa. Noise was not an issue even tho it's on a busy main road. There was plenty of info regarding things to see & do during your stay & even maps to the nearest supermarkets etc. We will definitely be booking again when we come back to Adelaide

Thank you for your comments, we are glad you enjoyed your stay at our property. Unfortunately the road has been a bit busier with all the traffic generated with the building / demolition works at the new St. Clair Development just down the road, so hopefully that settles down soon and gets back to normal.
