Banks Cottage on Holt- an easy walk to town

Banks Cottage is a quiet little cottage within walking distance (on sidewalks) to town. Two bedrooms and two baths and all on one easy level, this cottage is the perfect place to call home for a week, or even a month or more.

Comfortable screened porch to enjoy the outdoors- and what a perfect place for a cup of morning coffee, or an afternoon glass of wine and a good book. The living area has a native stone wood burning fireplace* with a gas starter, Flat screen TV with basic Cable TV, WiFi and comfortable seating. Open kitchen is inviting and updated to make it easier for your cooking, dining and entertaining. The main bedroom has a queen bed and private bath, the guest bedroom has a queen bed. A second full bath is in the hallway. The washer/dryer area is convenient to both bedrooms and bathrooms. Both bedrooms have NEW bedding (2023)

Surrounded by beautiful old trees and lush rhododendron and mountain laurels, all of which help keep this home air-conditioned by nature, but for those days when you need a little extra coolness, this home has a new (2023) HVAC system.

There are family games available for the days you need to stay inside, and the Holt Knob area has several little lanes that are great for walking when you want a nice, close hike. The town of Highlands has lots to explore including The Bascom , shopping and dining in of the eclectic places, more hiking on the Greenway Trails, catching a movie or live show at the Highlands Playhouse or Performing Arts Center, and swimming at the year-round heated pool at the Recreation Center, and that is just the beginning.

MOST HOLIDAYS ARE A ONE-WEEK MINIMUM
The rental app you are using may allow you to make two or three-night rentals during these times, but that doesn't mean the reservation will be honored.

When you book your reservation through VRBO/Homeaway, the Property Manager handling this property will be notified by VRBO/Homeaway that a reservation has been made.
You will be asked to enter your credit card information, but you will not be charged for your reservation at this time. You WILL be charged a nominal service fee by VRBO/Homeaway. The fee is between you and VRBO/Homeaway; the property manager has nothing to do with the fee.
After the property manager has been notified of your reservation, you can rest assured this property is being held for you. You are booked.
The property manager will email you a lease. The lease will need to be reviewed, signed and returned to the property manager. If you haven’t received a lease within 72 hours it could be because the property manager/rental office is closed. (Operating hours are Mon-Fri 10-4) OR you may need to check your SPAM folder. Your lease will have options- usually the price you pay will be less than what is shown because all the options are listed.
The property manager/rental office for this property is a small-town business and we’ve been renting properties for over 30 years. We use VRBO/Homeaway for rental leads/reservations. A portion of your rental proceeds goes to VRBO/Homeaway for their service.
