The Boathouse is set on the beachfront admidst landscaped gardens offers stunning water views & spectacular sunsets.

There are 3 luxurious queen-size bedrooms each with beautifully appointed ensuites. The 4th bedroom is adaptable with either a king-size bed or 2 singles. This suite is disabled friendly with a huge ensuite.Each suite has a private entrance to the verandahs and gardens.
There is a peaceful guest lounge, dining area & lots of private areas in the gardens to relax in.
Guests receive the complimentary use of sea kayaks, bicycles, fishing equipment, dinghy, golf clubs & a dvd/video libary.
Our tour desk can arrange as many activities as you choose.
This is an ideal venue for small team building getaways, weddings, running a boot camp, bonus rewards for staff or just a lazy getaway.
Catering can be arranged to suit each event.
Whatever you desire we try to make it happen.

Locality

Macleay Island is sheltered in the vast marine park of Moreton Bay. It is rich in native flora & fauna, edged with mangrove foreshores & sandy beaches.
An eco-tourism dream & bird watchers' nirvana. The calm waters are great for fishing, swimming & sea kayaking.
Visitors can enjoy gourmet breakfasts, champagne sunsets, alfresco cafe dining, arts & crafts, golf, tennis, lawn bowls or just curl up with a good book & do nothing.

Getting There

To arrive on macleay Island you need to use a water taxi, vechicle barge or private boat. Redland Bay is the accesspoint to Macleay Island. It is a small coastal town situated between brisbane and the God Coast, and can be reached by bus from Brisbane City. Airport transfsers from brisbane or Coolangatta can be arranged.
At Redland Bay the water taxi terminal is located at the southern end of Banana St. There is a free public car park at the terminal.The water taxi trip takes 15 minutes.
if you wish to bring your car on the vechicle barge, it is located in Weinham St, Redland Bay and bookings are essential.
This relaxing trip takes 40 minutes to transport you to macleay Island.

Belinda was very welcoming, we loved our weekend at the boathouse and good value, plenty of room. Belinda replaced the microwave oven when we mentioned its breakdown. The garden was beautiful

Property was nice and the host was rude upon arrival and she was mean and kept coming down to see what we were doing and she reckons we were putting her out when we didn’t even speak to her or ask for anything.

You didn't allow normal check in procedures. Insisted on being met for the keys. Arrived 2 hours after the agreed meeting time. Booked for 2 people and on the 2nd day told me that you were going to move in permanently. Although the booking was for 2 people there were 14 people on the premises on the 2nd day. When questioned about the extra guests you claimed there was only a mother and child as extras. Instead of 2 bedrooms and bathrooms being used all 4 bedrooms and bathrooms had been used when the cleaners arrived. The insurance on the property would have been void due to your extra guests. If you rent another property through Stayz l would recommend that you are honest with the host about how many people will actually be there, adhere to the hosts check in details If you are a host l would not accept a booking from this guest.

Hi Jiwan. You paid your deposit and the balance of $200 is still overdue. I have requested 5 times that you pay this outstanding debt. I am sorry to hear that you were not happy with the cleanliness. You did however send a friend to check the property beforehand without any notice who approved the property for you. This person also stayed at the property without y declaring an extra guest. Could you please pay the $200 that is now 6 weeks overdue for your stay. Thank you Belinda

this property is beautifully maintained inside and out. the beds are comfortable and all linen clean. The stove needs updating its very slow. There was no note that we shouldn't lock the front door. The location is close to the local bowling club but requires a taxi or car if travelling to the ferry terminal.

Boathouse Magic Garden meets the sea

The owner Belinda was so welcoming and so full of local knowledge The gardens on the property were beautiful and plenty of different little spots to see the ocean and soak in the afternoon sunshine with the local wildlife There were fishing rods and tackle to use off the little deck that’s in the water plus water toys to use The back fence has a little gate to use to get to the beach which feels totally private The rooms were large and had everything you needed full size fridge and a well kept array of kitchen utensils and plates and cups for the biggest family to use It was clean and tidy We will definitely be back

When property advertised they should advise one that the owner occupies the upper floor. The principal of the matter! Sewerage smell out the front before entering. Premises require a proper clean. Maggots in kketk

Hi Dan, I am very sorry that you didn't enjoy your stay. The ad does state that this is an apartment .I am also very apologetic regarding the kettle, however I believe that my cleaners do an amazing job.

Boat House

Maintenance is lacking on the interior. Lighting in 2 of the 4 bathrooms not working. Owner provided a bedside lamp in 2 of the bathrooms for a light. Power point in one of the rooms loose. Smoke detectors hanging off the ceiling with NO batteries. Toilet in Titanic not working properly Tap over kitchen sink loose, you had to hold the base of the tap to get it to work. Outside area was excellent
