Welcome to Shorehom 51 a 2-bedroom 2 bathroom that sleeps 8 guests comfortably. This is on the quiet, dune-covered non-driving beach and is perfect for a family vacation. Wake up to the sound of waves in the king master bedroom that is directly on the ocean and put the kids in the guest bedroom that has a twin over full bunk bed and double bed. At the end of a fun day at the beach, you can entertain the family with games and books. There is also a comfortable sleeper sofa in the living room and a large open and bright kitchen. There is a brand-new washer and dryer located inside the unit for your convenience. The complex is in a great fully residential location and is within biking distance to the Canaveral National Seashore, which is one of the largest stretches of undeveloped coastline on the east coast of Florida. About Shorehom Complex:

Youā€™ll have to decide where you want to spend all your time when you vacation here. Indoors youā€™ll treasure the comfort of our tastefully decorated and well-equipped 2 bedroom/2 bathroom and 3 bedrooms/3-bathroom units. At just six levels, every condo on every floor at Shorehom by the Sea is easily accessed. Relish the seasonally heated pool, large, gated pool deck, manicured grounds, and the path through the sea oats speckled dunes to the quiet beach. Built in 1979, this attractive complex has only 58 units. In addition to the excellent pool area, youā€™ll find a shuffleboard court onsite for more fun and exercise. There are plenty of open parking spots for guests. Another valuable amenity at Shorehom by the Sea is the convenience of a washer and dryer inside every unit. No common area coin-operated laundry room here.

The condo was spotless. There was already plenty of coffee filters so donā€™t buy any. I would also be sure to bring usb ports. Great view, easy access, and a responsive host.

Great Property

We loved our stay. Great property and well managed. Easy check in and check out. Unit had good selection of board games which provided some family entertainment. Nice size TVs in all rooms for when not being active. Fully stocked kitchen for easy cooking/eating. General location is great and beach access is easy. During our stay the pool was under renovation and would have been nice to know this before the day of check in, but we still would not have changed our stay. Overall very happy with the property and process.

We took several teenage girls to the beach for the weekend. The condo was set up great, with multiple beds in one room. The beach was beautiful and the view from the balcony amazing.

Best view, great location!!

My family and I came here for spring break and had a fantastic stay. The condo was very clean, we had everything we needed and the view was spectacular!! The location was great due to the fact it was a very short walk to the no drive portion of the beach (we prefer that area since we have little ones) It was also very convenient to be within walking distance to several great restaurants including Izzyā€™s Tacos, SoNapa and Mannys. My only suggestions would be that the condo could use a little updating, itā€™s a bit dated and a new kitchen sink that has a sprayer. Thank you for a great stay!!

Nice but messy

The condo was very messy and cluttered. Stuff all over- The dryer filter looked as thought it hadn't been cleaned in months. Drawers were full of so many odds and ends. No organization. The condo was roomy- easy to access and pool was great.

Amazing Beachfront Views!!!

Our stay at this property was truly enjoyable. Last year we came to New Smyrna and stayed at another property that didn't have a beachfront view and wasn't updated at all for around same price. But this year, our condo at Shoreham was amazing! The beachfront views were unbeatable and breathtaking! The condo was spacious and updated with very comfortable beds. The kids absolutely loved the bunk bed too! The location was great being on no car/drive area of the beach and was not crowded at all compared to Flagler Street beach area. We will definitely be back again to New Smyrna and without hesitation stay in this condo again!!!

Comfortable stay with a beautiful view of an amazing beach

The condo was "well-loved" but comfortable. We cooked every night so found some things missing, but for the most part were able to make do with what was provided. The shower door in the first bathroom was in need of repair, and the shower head in the master bath could use an actual head, but the beds were comfortable enough, the living room furniture comfy (minus the wobbly leather chair that looks inviting but quite "well-loved") and the balcony chairs super comfy. The TV was nice and big with Roku/Netflix which was nice to have. The glass living room table was perfect for doing puzzles, and there were tons of beach equipment to borrow, from chairs, skim boards, umbrellas, to sand toys and buckets for the little ones. We found many books, puzzles, and games to play, though most of the pieces missing on the games (expected with a rental). The chairs in the corner dinette also need repair, as the rattan was torn and our young one would have falled through the hole on 2 of them. The one thing that caught us off-guard was the poles holding up the balconies all around the property. Even though I was in contact with the management company about some other issues, the construction was not disclosed, and detracted from our otherwise gorgeous view. We also had to let in a maintenance worker to check for movement of the poles. I didn't expect brand new everything, but I do think quite a few things in the condo need some repair or replacement. The view and the beach were amazing though, and the pool was nice to cool off in after a hot beach day. The people at the condo were all very nice. It was great to get out of the house after being stuck mostly inside for the past 90 days due to Covid. Oh, one more thing, it took some time to figure out how to work the lock box with the key in it and then even longer to figure out how to put the cover back on. Maybe some detailed instructions on how that works would be good.

The condo is conviniently located right on the beach front. The view from the balcony is stunning , lots of towels and sheets available for guests. Nothing can beat the calm sounds of waves right in your backyard.

Shoreham Condo

The condo was very spacious. Have an issue with moisture in all the rooms and need to run the dehumidifier the entire time. All rooms had damp rid that need to be replaced.

Decent Condo

We loved that there was a lifeguard right in front of the property. The master bath had a shower head that was like an old Howard Johnson's hotel, haven't seen a shower head that little in a couple of decades. The electrical outlet in the master bath didn't work. The toilet in the guest bath ran constantly and the tank could not fill up, so it would not flush properly. The instructions said that we were not allowed to set the A/C lower than 74 degrees, which is not cold enough for our family, so we were warm the entire week. The bunk beds in the guest room were beneficial, as was the pull out couch. We had 2 other families that had their own condos in the same building, and their units were significantly nicer than ours. It was decent though.

Great Place...If the Owner Replaces the Sliding Glass Door to the Balcony

With its lovely mid-century modern furniture and pretty beach-themed pillows and ornaments, this condo should be an "A" place for those like us who want casual beach dƩcor. From my husband, mother, and myself, however, it rates a D minus because only my husband and I could budge one of the two sliding glass doors to the balcony, and then only using two hands. (The second door to the balcony was inoperable.) We complained about it the day after we arrived, and the rental agency sent a maintenance person by immediately to try lubricating it, but he concluded that lubrication was not enough and the door needed to be replaced. That verdict was repeated by men from two companies that came to look at the door (both unannounced) during our stay. The malfunctioning door may not bother you If you don't mind getting some exercise when opening and closing the door. Note, however, that as the door cannot be open at all from the outside, you won't be able to stay long outside unless you don't mind the humidity that builds up inside if the door is left open. Because my 96-year old Mom could not open the door on her own, it was a great disappointment as we could not leave her alone for long periods of time if she wished to be on the porch.. (The rental company did the right thing and offered us alternative lodgings in four other places it had available, but because my Mom requires a low bed and a step-in shower, none looked suitable.). There were a number of maintenance issues in the 10 days we were there, the first of which (a malfunctioning toilet) we attended to when we arrived. We called in other maintenance problems to the rental agency, which promptly responded, even if it could not immediately address some of them. The location is close (about 20 minutes by bike and 5 minutes by car) to the Canaveral National Seashore (bring your National Parks card for free entry), a wildlife preserve with pristine beaches and interesting historical exhibits. We biked there three days to look around and walk the beaches, and would have liked one more day to go canoeing. Unfortunately, we missed a park-sponsored boat tour of the waters, as you must sign up weeks ahead. If we decide to visit this area of Florida again, we'd consider renting this condo if the balcony door has been replaced
