Scotts Head Retreat - Secluded Property

Scotts Head Retreat is nestled amongst lush mountains and natural forest. The view is stunning from the large open deck. You have total seclusion on your own acreage! There is only a 3 minute drive to the quiet unspoilt seaside village of Scotts Head and its stunning beaches! They are all well known for their great surfing, fishing, snorkelling and are perfect for a morning walk! Everyone who has ever stayed at our property loves the beautiful views & the serenity! If you are after a place to get away from the hustle & bustle of city life, this is the perfect getaway!
The small beachside town of Scotts Head provides you with all your needs.
Scotts Head Retreat is a perfect holiday house for a family with heaps of room to spread out & run around the gardens. Even perfect for a couple to getaway to your own lovely retreat!!
Our family of two adults and two teenaged children reside on the property in a totally separate accommodation away from the main house. ( This is very useful if any last minute help is needed. )
In the winter months, we supply all wood for the open fire.

SPACIOUS LIVING

The main bedroom is situated at the south end of the house with a queen bed. And the other 2 bedrooms are situated down the other end of the house with both having double beds. The whole house has timber floorboards throughout and ceiling fans in every room of the house.
The kitchen is lovely and open, with a large new gas top/electric oven. Decked out with all timber benchtops and perfectly located to the large open deck and BBQ area. There is also a nice sized lawn area for the children to play and plenty of property for them to run around. Including a large sized trampoline. We can provide old sufboards to have some fun down the beach with.

PERFECTLY SITUATED

We are only 800m up from the Scotts Head Road & Grassy Head intersection. Our property is on a private road which is a situated off Grassy Head Road. There are many beautiful walks in the area and great mountain bike tracks through the nearby rainforest.
It is only a 3 minute drive to Scotts Head main beach where you can hire a surfboard from our local surf coach or just have a relaxing swim or beach walk.
The closest major towns take one hour drive if there is a need of shopping, either to Port Macquarie or Coffs Harbour.

Amazing property

Quiet bliss

Short stay in Way Way

Beautiful spot amongst the trees. Well equipped accommodation with very comfortable beds. The verandah is perfect for relaxing. Close to Scotts Head and Grassy Head beach. Perfect break for the family.

We love the property and really enjoy our stay

Stacy was a wonderful host! The house was clean, organised and we loved the arrival book and information provided for the area and appliances which came in handy. It was a very relaxing place and the house was well equipped and Stacy provides lots of extra touches which are so appreciated! Local cafes were lovely and the local Grocer was well stocked. Grassy beach was a lovely quiet beach, great for kids as patrolled.

beautiful property in a beautiful location

This home is gorgeous, with many beautiful touches, such as different ceramic knobs on the drawers in the kitchen and beautiful wooden tables. The views are fantastic, the beds are comfortable, the bathroom is lovely and there are two separate toilets. The kitchen is well equipped. The outdoor seating takes advantage of the view over the valley. It's only a short drive to the lovely township of Scott's Head and the beaches there. Stacy, the host, is very hospitable and responds quickly to messages. We had a wonderful time and would love to return someday.

Just perfect

The place truely is a retreat! The surroundings are so lush and peaceful. It is private and quiet but the drive to village and beach is still very short. The house is well equipped with a cosy interior. We felt at home right away and when it was time to leave we all agreed that next time we will stay longer. There is only one tiny thing we have to criticise- previous guests haven’t treated the coated sauce pan very well. The coat is super damaged and we felt it could be replaced.

Thanks Coco for the lovely review. And yes will replace that pot (thanks for letting me know) I always think of putting a sign to guests to not use metal utensils on non stick pots/pans. Now I will. Thanks for looking after our place like it was yours. Happy 2023

Great house, great spot, great people

I was just looking for a week-long getaway to get out of the city. Stacy & Parish's place is the perfect, quiet spot to unwind and take your foot off the pace! The house is very well appointed with all the gear in the kitchen, a large BBQ on the verandah and a lovely surrounding of garden and woodland. It's halfway up a large slope so the view is god too. Mobile phone service is patchy from the house and there's no wifi but this was a blessing as it forced me to disconnect as well. And if you're having withdrawals from your Insta account, Scott's Head is a 5 minute drive away. And you'd probably be there anyway enjoying the right-hand point break that the town is renowned for. There's plenty of other stuff to do if the surf isn't working including bushwalks, mountain bike tracks (all within a 10 minute drive or you can ride straight out from the house) and some interesting little spots in the coastal hinterland (try the drive to Taylors Arm Pub). Stacy & Parish are also great people which rounds out the whole experience nicely. Highly recommend.

Our return stay delivered again!

Our family of five returned to stay for a second time at this lovely house. It was like returning to a home away from home, we instantly felt welcome, comfortable and relaxed. The setting in a beautiful tropical garden is idyllic, and the plants provide plenty of screening and privacy from the surrounding properties. The house was clean, well furnished and equipped for all of our needs. There are ceiling fans in all the rooms and the laundry provides a second toilet and basin, which was very handy. We all enjoyed sitting on the deck with a cool drink in the evenings, taking in the views and the peace. Thank you again for a lovely stay!

Beautiful home

We were amazed as soon as we arrived. A beautiful home - very artistic. Spacious and clean. Wonderful tropical garden and an awesome deck. Spent many mornings and nights relaxing on the deck. Loved the big gas cooker and coffee machine. Owners very friendly and helpful. A central location - close to Coffs Harbour, Dorrigo, Port Macquarie and everything. Great fresh seafood can be bought from the 'seafood van man' in Scotts Head too.

Super nice place and had everything you needed, loved the veranda and breakfast bar. Very comfortable lounge and fabulous stove top. Close enough to the beach and national park, but very private. It definitely is a home away from home. Can’t wait to come back ...

Paradise

The house was spacious with plenty of room to relax and spend time with friends, with shops and the beach nearby! The deck was absolute paradise, and we were lucky enough to have a beautiful furry visitor! There were very clear check-in instructions and a nice amount of privacy. We were sad to leave, and look forward to staying again one day!
