Introduction ; Our loft style villa is surrounded by native bush land with access to resort facilities and is your gateway to iconic World Heritage Listed K'gari (Fraser Island). Barge your 4wd to the resort or walk on. Once you are here you are steps away from your K'gari experience. The resort and villa is great for couples and families alike. Our Property ; Sapphire 535 is open and airy in the summer and warm and cosy in the off season. You can't help but relax in this award winning eco designed space. The best value for money on the island. Nothing but trees and the Sandy Straight are in your view from the balcony. Inside it's all island comfort. Everything you need for R&R or unwinding from a day hiking or touring around the island. The master bedroom is roomy and bright with a comfy queen size bed and plenty or cupboard and storage space. The second bedroom is a loft with a queen size bed. A built in ladder gets you to the private nest and it has plenty of room for the occupants. There are two pull out couches in the living room just in case you get those drop in guests. We do however recommend that you are comfortable with children using a fixed place ladder for access - we suggest children that are 8+ - but that is up to you. Linen and towels is provided.
Guest Access ; Several 3 car parking bays are within a short walk to the villa. We are a 5-minute walk to reception and the resorts amenities (as the villa is elevated in the tree line the walk does have a manageable hill in it). Depending on how you are travelling you will need to book a barge for your vehicle or the ferry if you are walking. All the resort facilities are at your disposal once you get here. Access your Villa via a lockbox and start your vacation once you are past the door. K'gari (Fraser) Island is a wonderful and special place and we are proud to make it available to you. We suggest you do a little research by searching K'gari Island, Queensland and Kingfisher Bay Resort so you can develop your own opinion and plan on how to enjoy it. There are walking trails, beaches, fishing and sports and recreational activities all at your fingertips. You can book any of them at the resort. Friendly informative rangers and island tours are all available for enjoyment. Regardless if you adventure, exercise or exercise your right to just relax you can't go wrong doing it in our villa or any of the villas in the resort. We are happy to share our experiences and ideas once you confirm your booking. If you don't already have one and want to adventure on the island you can rent 4WD in Hervey Bay. WhaIe watching, island and walking tours can be booked at the resort or from one of the many great tour operators from Hervey Bay.
A Few Other Details ; Getting to the villa - Once you arrive at the resort drive to the one and only roundabout and head up the hill. The second road in the right is William Edwardson Lane. Go up William Edwardson Lane. Villa 535 is in the second set of villas. Park in one of the many bays and head to 535 . It is about a 30 metre walk from the parking space with no steps. Keys - the keys are in a lock box on a post near the door. We will provide you the code prior to checking in. BBQ - there is a BBQ and utensils however it is BYO Gas Bottle. The villa is air conditioned so if you want to keep it cool and comfortable on hot days (or warm on the rare cold ones) we suggest you keep the doors and windows closed to keep it at the temperature you like.
