Fresh and fun, this recently updated unit features the clean, modern aesthetic of our other resort units blended seamlessly into the Old Florida quaint architecture. Roll out of bed and lounge on the sunny secluded deck as you get ready for your day at the beach or the pool. This unit offers a full, wonderfully stocked kitchen, luxurious bath linens and super cozy beds. With a king, two twins, and a sleeper sofa with upgraded mattress, a great night’s sleep after your day on this perfect island is sure to beckon.

The MI Happy Place Island Resort (formerly Garden Villas) features new ownership and management with exciting amenities and upgrades that combine to make a beautiful, convenient, and relaxing location even better! The resort is perfectly located directly across from the Manatee Public Beach, just steps from the wonderfully clean white sands of Anna Maria Island.

MI Happy Place Island Resort includes a fabulous full size heated pool with a spacious 30 x 40 foot pool deck and a covered grilling area with a gas grill. It's a perfect spot to gather in the evenings after a lazy day at the beach. Every unit offers a variety of beach amenities as well – chairs, wagon, umbrella, and more.

The resort amenities will make your Anna Maria Island vacation relaxing and enjoyable for a quick trip or an extended stay. The lush, beautifully landscaped resort oasis is ideally located close to the beach, nearby eateries, and shopping. Walk to the Cafe on the Beach, Skinny’s Place, the West Coast Surf Shop, and more. The Island Centre Shopping area, also within walking distance, serves all of your shopping needs including groceries, eateries, and specialty shops. If you want to explore more, simply hop on and off the free trolley all day everyday - just across the street. Many Florida attractions, such as Busch Gardens, Mote Marine Lab and Disney World, are within easy driving distance.

For larger groups, this unit can be rented together with the others, so be sure to check out the other three: MI Happy Place Sand Castle, MI Happy Place Sea Horse, and MI Happy Place Sea Turtle.

For families, groups of friends, or events, the entire resort (MI Happy Place - All Units) is a fantastic option as well. There are a variety of ways to enjoy this amazing property, any of which will almost certainly have you looking forward to coming back again and again!

Close to everything!

We were disappointed with the cleanliness of this unit and lack of amenities. It was so easy to check in, the pool was simply amazing and a quick trip across the street and you were at the beach. So close to grocery store and great restaurants. Manager Ken was responsive and said loud a/c would be looked at but never heard or saw a technician. However, this place needs a deep clean especially the floors! The light grout is now black and the freezer and shower has rust. It would be nice if the owners would have supplied simple amenities such as salt and pepper, hand soap, toilet paper and coffee filters.

Perfect getaway for adults

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My husband and I booked this getaway, last minute. It was everything we expected and more. Everything was very clean, owner responded promptly, pool area was nice. We enjoy walking and everything we needed was within walking distance. Restaurants, beach, church, grocery store, shopping, ice cream. We chose not to rent a car, and worked out well for us. The uber from Sarasota airport was about $40. I gave the location a 4 star, just because not much for a few when sitting outside the resort and the road to cross to get to the beach is busy. I would come back!

Family Vacay

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We rented three of the four cottages for a family of 9. The cottages and location were absolutely breath taking! A few steep to your right and you were on the beach, we you can play sand volleyball, enjoy a sunset, collect seashells (mornings are the best) or enjoy a pina colada at the Tiki Bar. A few steps to your left and you will find grocery store (reasonable priced), liquor store, Walgreens, and some cute store fronts. We took advantage of the free trolly at the beach and visited both end of the Island. Bridge Street, located on the bay side had great restaurants and variety of shops. We saw multiple dolphins on the pier. The house had everything we need and more, the beds were very comfortable and enough seating for a family gathering. We ate dinner outside and BBQ’s a few times during our stay. We didn’t need to rent any chairs or umbrella for the beach. We loaded up the wagon (was provided) with the cooler, chairs, umbrella, volleyball, and football and headed to the beach to enjoy the soft white sand. We enjoyed the pool daily! It was a nice spot to hang out together, play water games, sunbath, hang out in the hammocks, or play card games while enjoying the beautiful view. We hope to come back and fill the fourth house with more families members.

Cutest little cottage

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Had another great stay. When we arrived our code didn’t work and it was after hours but I called and was given a new code right away. Easy peasy! Place felt very clean. Love the location and pool. Only complaint is it got hot when sleeping at night (but it is Florida 🤷‍♀️) and the ceiling fan in the bedroom with 2 beds clicks making it hard for me to sleep. (Light sleeper here) Luckily only slept in there a few nights when my 4 year old wanted me to- didn’t seem to effect her sleep any. Loved being a short walk to Publix- very convenient. Also all the beach items provided were a huge help! Never could’ve carried all our stuff and a baby without the wagon! Would stay again :)
