Located in a the very quiet area of area of St. Joe Beach you'll find Amethyst Cove. This 3 bedroom 2 bath house has great covered deck space on two levels to take in the Beach Front views this property has to offer. A very comfortable property laid out with the bedrooms on the 1st floor and the living, kitchen, and dining on the 2nd floor to maximize the views. Come enjoy a quiet beach that is protected by Cape San Blas in the distance and miles of beach to explore.

Amethyst Cove

We stayed here for a week and it was just beautiful. Neighborhood was peaceful and love that the beach is semi private. We will be staying here again!

Wonderful vacation

We really enjoyed our 5 night stay! Weather was cool and windy but just beautiful and we stayed on the balcony most of the time. Enjoyed lots of good seafood and would have liked to stay longer.

No frills here meant absolute bare minimum in a house that is slowly falling apart.The positives first: The location was perfect. The beach was quiet and peaceful, and the view from the porch was amazing — honestly the best part of the rental. Pristine Properties was also a pleasure to work with. They were attentive, kind, and helpful whenever we brought up an issue.The unit itself, however, was very difficult to stay in. The cleanliness was poor, not because Pristine didn't clean, but because everything in the unit is old, damp, and smells like years of accumulated dirt and moisture. It feels like a house that is only there to make money for the owners with no money put back into upkeep.Everything was sticky from the entry to the top floor kitchen. We didn't feel comfortable cooking. If you stay here, you will need to bring almost everything. The kitchen had exactly 2 forks, no salt or pepper, 2 wine glasses and 3 water glasses. Plates, cups, knives and spoons were plentiful, but that's it. There are chairs on the porch but no tables.Maintenance issues: The TV in the guest bedroom was not working and wasn't even hooked up. When we connected it to the cable from the wall, it still didn't work. It's so outdated it can't connect to wifi either. Bathrooms were clean but very outdated — the toilets moved when used and the upstairs toilet did not flush well and needed to be plunged.We would not stay here again unless the unit is updated and properly equipped.

Almost private beach

I don’t think I have ever had a more relaxing time. There were never more than one family on the beach with us. We did not have to listen to evil music nor hear cursing while on the beach. This was a very nice time with our family

Beach trip

Rental needs lots of updates. Carpet very worn and stained, as well as living room furniture. There were only 4 forks in the kitchen. The patio furniture was plastic and mostly broken. There wasn’t a table to eat on the patio. Contacted the property management about the excess bugs in the rental via online and by phone. Never received a return call or contacted in any way. Stayed here before and no improvements but over 150/ night increase in price.

Had a great time

Property could use some updates. Couches were broken. Would be really nice to have a boardwalk to the beach. Location was perfect.

Dated!

Carpet was nasty upstair, both couches were broken, stove was missing the bottom drawer and downdraft doesn't work, frigerator is rusty, faucet (cheap), not very homey(could use some colorful decorations), Was recently painted white but the stair rails were sticky and need some attention, the bottom floor tile where you come in are slick(it had rained and we came in with wet feet, almost slipped and fell, needs a rug), top a/c was not working when we got there(which would indicate the property manager did not do a run through before we checked in), bedroom floor hallway window had no blinds in it which allowed for the neighboring house to see all the way through, shower heads are old and dated(not much water pressure), drains in both tubs had hair and razor guard stuck in them we had to remove and clean, because the tubs wouldn't drain), dished need some attention (non stick pans need to be trashed). We have rented in Santa Rosa beach along 30A and owners don't skimp on making it feel and look like home. We have never had to bring chairs, floats, sand toys or beach umbrellas with us. They are decorated to make them welcoming. Outside areas are just as pristine (which is the very name of the property managment company handling this proerty). The outside furniture was cheap as well. 3 broken chairs on the upper deck. There was plenty of room for a nice heavy table with 8 chairs and a sectional sofa with a coffee table on the other side would be nice. We paid the same price we would have for a property in the SRB area and were very disappointed. The view were amazing and access to the water is the biggest reason we rented it. The pictures of the house of course miss all the things I mentioned that need attention. It had rained and both the adjacent property were very nicely landscaped with a boardwalk to the beach. This property could have used some gravel under the house. It was a literal mud hole. And at the foot of the stairs to the 2nd floor you had to jump across the mud hole to walk to the beach. The stair risers look to be very wore and dated and need to be looked at. We have owned a beach property, so we are fully aware of the constant up keep. All the cabinets need to be painted and knobs need replacing. People rent for the experience but expect a place that is clean and feels like home away from home.

It’s a clean property with good location. However it’s not safe to swim as we spotted some alligators. Good for fishing and boating.

Private paradise

The location was absolutely perfect. The size of the house was accommodating but needed updating, maintenance an could have been cleaner. Jus didn’t feel “home like”. Compared to other houses I have stayed in in the area

Great location, but needs some TLC

First of all, the location for this place is so good, I would not hesitate to stay here again. If privacy is what you want, this is the place to be. Over the course of the week, I would say there were only 3 other families that were within 100 YARDS of us. Port St. Joe is about 3 miles away, with Dollar General Market and a Piggly Wiggly for your grocery needs. So if you’re looking for mini golf or theme parks, this isn’t your place to stay. The property itself needs a few items addressed to make it perfect. A boardwalk is desperately needed from the house to the beach, in fact, this house is the only property that does not have one in the area. It’s still a short walk, but a boardwalk would make it so much easier. We also had problems locking and unlocking the sliding doors on the decks. The top deck ceiling needs to be cleaned. Looks like it hasn’t been touched for a couple of years. Deck furniture needs to be replaced. It just needs to be attended to better. But again, the location is great. No need to worry about rushing out to reserve your spot on the beach at 5 am, because you will more than likely have it to yourself

Quiet beach

House was as advertised. A few maintenance issues but nothing major. This house is in a very quiet area. You have to drive anywhere you want to go. Beach was nice.

Amethyst Cove

House is very close to the beach and we enjoyed our stay. A few upgrades would make the house even better: 1. New sofa and a recliner 2. New outside deck furniture 3. New stove or repair the downdraft 4. Kitchen upgrade (dishwasher was very loud) 5. Need boardwalk to beach 6. Need Mattress covers on each bed 7. The house is starting to show its age
