Relax in our lake front cottages and enjoy the beautiful nature of The Ocala National Forest at Big Lake Kerr, in Salt Springs, Florida. This 3,500 acre spring fed lake registered as an outstanding waterway and features a waterfront setting with a semi-private beach and boat dock. The comfortable cottage includes Smart TV, WIFI Internet, DVD, Central Heat/Air, full kitchen, and BBQ gas grill. Bedroom features King bed with premium linens. Futon Sleeper Sofa. Laundry facility located on the property. This location is perfect for wildlife watching and swimming/ boating and is minutes away from numerous state parks and recreational areas.

The hosts were lovely and friendly and helpful! The amenities were as described. The property was clean and private. There was access to fishing, (I caught my first bass!) kayaks, and a lovely private pier. We had a relaxing and happy stay thanks to Tom and Diane.

Lovely lake home

I take my twin granddaughters on a mini vacation each year and this year we chose to come here. We had a great time! The house is small but very comfortable and plenty of space for the three of us. The girls are 12 and they had an amazing time swimming and paddling around on the youth size canoes. It is quiet and I was able to relax on the covered porch and the covered dock and read and watch the girls play. The girls have already said they want to go back on our vacation next summer. Thanks for a wonderful few days filled with memorie!

Lake Kerr

This is one of the cleanest places I have ever stayed in. Stocked kitchen with everything you would need. Great view of the lake. Very cordial home ownner. We even got to see deer, sandhill cranes and many other birds. Would stay there again in a heart beat. Almost forgot, great little sand beach with boat access also a fishing pier or a place to sit and admire the lake.

Weekend on Lake Kerr

Great little cottage right on Lake Kerr! Private boat ramp on property for convenience, dock with plenty of space for safe keeping of vessel. Clean beach area for kids and the sun! Cottage was very clean and everything worked as it should. Will definitely be back, thank you Tom and Diane for the outstanding hospitality! A+++

Little slice of heaven

Great long weekend get away loved the sunrises and fishing in the morning. Property was very clean easy to get to. Owners are a sweet couple who are there if you need anything and very easy to talk to. The access to the water was perfect for unloading and loading your boat. Beautiful views of the lake sitting under the covered dock. Can’t wait to come back. Awesome place.

Family vacation

Kerr Cottages is a wonderful destination the cottages are adorable and well equipped. The property is amazing and so peaceful. My family is always so excited to spend time at Kerr cottages, definitely a family favorite.

Wonderful few days in the Ocala National Forest

The cottage sits on Lake Kerr. The accommodations were very clean and comfy. You get a great view of the lake from the living room. My son and I enjoyed fishing for bass from the dock, and provided canoe. The cottage was in a great location for us to enjoy all the Ocala National forest had to offer. Tom and Diane were very helpful and their hospitality was top notch. We will definitely make a return trip

Great for a lake side weekend (or week)

Stayed here with my wife and two kids. We really enjoyed our 3-day weekend. Lots for kids and adults to do. Beach, swim, canoe, fish, hike, fire pit or just be lazy on the dock all day. Lake Kerr is very clean. And, If you're a boat owner, then even better! The cottage is on a compound of 3 buldings - 2 rental cottages (McDade and Jones) and the property owners residence. Each is spaced far enough apart so you feel as though you have your own space to hang out on the porch and still have your privacy. The hosts really are thoughtful and thorough to make sure your stay is enjoyable. One small critique I would make about the McDade listing (and this is just my opinion) is that while it does technically sleep 4. The futon pullout is not recommended for two adults but 2 adults and 2 children will work fine. However there is ample space if you brought and air mattress. I would be comfortable to recommend this vrbo to others and I would strongly considering coming back again.

Great little getaway

Had a quick getaway with a few friends weather was beautiful fishing was fun. Sunsets are heaven sent on the lake. Rented both houses had everything we needed thanks to the owners. ❤️

Family time

We had a wonderful time we, rented both cabins for the weekend. The cabins are so comfortable and well equipped. The grounds and lake are beautiful we hope to visit again soon.

Beautiful view

Me and my wife loved that they had their own boat ramp and boat dock. So we could keep our boat docked and ready to take off whenever. We will probably use this spot every year for my family reunion.

THE LOCATION WAS GOOD BUT TOO MUCH MONEY FOR THE STAY. I FOUND A FILTHY OVEN, DIRTY FLOORS, DIRTY DISHES. THE PLACE NEEDS A DEEP CLEANING. I DIDN'T LIKE THAT THERE WERE OPEN WINDOWS IN THE LIVING AREA. IT'S PROBABLY BECAUSE OF THE VIEW BUT IT MADE ME FEEL UNEASY. NEEDS SOME KIND OF WINDOW DRESSING. WOULD NOT RETURN.

Weekday getaway to paradise

I would like to thank Diane and Tom for Allowing us to stay at their piece of paradise. We stayed at the McDade cottage this visit, could not ask for more comfortable and peaceful accommodations. Fantastic cabin and property

The cabin is fresh, bright and updated. Many amenities including beautiful Lake Kerr, dock ( we fished), fire pit, kayaks and the wildlife was the best. Very relaxing.

Just what we needed-must come back

Already trying to plan time to come back! It was the perfect trip-just needed more time. The renovations are well done and the view can’t be beat. Diane and Tom are great hosts and even set us up a fire for s’mores. Our kids had a blast.
