Welcome to Wapo Cottage on Lake Wapogasset. 60 minutes from the Twin Cities! New 16x14 three season porch over looking the lake, added in 2022. Home now includes 2 fireplaces, updated kitchen and bathrooms, cable TV, WiFi, and numerous water toys all on a private lot. Two lakes with 1500 acres of great fishing and water sports. Restaurant at the north end of the lake. Minutes to Amery Country Club, a public golf course.

It was restful. The lake was rather busy during the day but at night it really was quiet

Great week on Wapo Lake

The Wapo cottage had everything we needed with great access to the lake. FIshing was awesome, my son was catching some big largemouth bass and northerns right from the dock. The cottage is close to many activities such as golfing, wineries, trips on the river and state parks. The family had a great time!

Beautiful lake home

Our stay was all we hoped for. The property is well kept and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked and has quality appliances. The views overlooking the lake from the property are spectacular. Property manager was also very attentive and easy to work with. Will look forward to staying here in the future!

Perfect 2023 Fall Getaway!

We had a fantastic stay. The house was spectacular, right on the lake. The weather was very warm so we got to enjoy sitting out by the lake. The sun porch was great to sit and view the lake and relax. The location was perfect for us, being able to see many sites, visit St. Croix Falls and the river color ride. I highly recommend this house for any time of the year. I can imagine how fun it would be in the summer, boating, swimming and fishing. I hope to come back in the future.

Book It!

The view on the lake is breathtaking!!! We loved having the boathouse of fun lake toys right down on the dock. We spent a lot of time in the beautiful porch when we weren’t outside. Appreciated the small touches and details like plenty of paper towels, toilet paper, plastic food containers, baggies and other consumable kitchen essentials, plush towels, comfy beds. Great communication with Stephanie all week if we needed anything. Wonderful week for our family - thank you!!

MEA annual family time

We were so thrilled w the property, the minute we pulled into the drive way… then we walked in the door and we’re thrilled again! The open floor plan was perfect, the view of the lake was amazing! Beds were comfortable! Would be great to add a lamp in living room as we had a 1,000 piece jigsaw puzzle laid out on coffee table all weekend and lighting could have been better for that. Bedroom to left of bathroom needed a nightstand w lamp OR a headboard where a lamp could sit for reading and phone. These are really my only two suggestions for improvement. We had a very relaxing weekend and will be back next year hopefully!

Nov in Wisconsin

This property is excellent. The view over the lake is gorgeous, especially when we were able to see a full moon gleaming off the water. The place was very clean!

Relaxing getaway with everything you need

This is a great home to stay in with enough rooms for our family of five (plus two dogs) to easily spread out in! The outdoors area is excellent, with a large bonfire pit, deck with seating to be able to enjoy looking out over the lake, and a stairs right down to the boathouse and dock. We took the canoe out for a short ride, and would’ve liked to try the kayaks and paddle boards if it had been warmer for our stay too. Oh, and watching the sunrise over the lake is beautiful! Nearby hiking trails and parks made our trip complete.

Perfect Little Getaway!

This is the second year in a row we have stayed here. My dad, 3 brothers and myself do a 5 day fishing/golfing trip and this place is great for it. The 18 hole golf course is 5 minutes away, the loading dock is less than 2 minutes away, and town is less than 10 minutes away. Beautiful property and area!

A terrific week

We had a wonderful week with friends and family at Wapo Cottage. Steph was incredibly responsive, answering all my questions within minutes. The house was clean and ready when we arrived. The lake was beautiful and quiet for the entire week. Fishing, tubing, or just cruising, it felt like we had the lake to ourselves for the majority of the time there. Even the weather was incredible. It was by far the most enjoyable lake house rental vacation we have ever had. An added plus was that we “discovered” Mort’s Marina on the lake when we realized our boat was low on gas. A quick call and problem solved. Thanks Steph

Fun spot for the 4th of July weekend.

We had a good time at this lake house. Wish we could have checked in earlier on Saturday so we could have enjoyed that night more.

Round 2 at the cottage!!

We came back after enjoying our first time there in Sept 2020. Stephanie is always responsive and easy to communicate with. She even left the house warm for us when we arrived! Although it was a little cold that didn’t stop the kids from jumping into the lake and taking the kayaks out. We really enjoyed our time there and the beautiful lake views.

Beautiful cottage surrounded with gorgeous view of lake and fall colors

I stayed at this cabin with my husband and our two daughters. Cabin was nice, clean and well equipped. View of the lake from cabin is beautiful. It was a nice and relaxing stay.

Surprising Find

I booked this house about 3-4 weeks before we got there just hoping it would be half as good as I thought. It felt like we researched for months and picked the best thing out there as perfect a fit this house was for my dad and three brothers. We got in a 5 day fishing and golfing retreat and hope to head back next year!

Awesome place for fishing

We decided to head East for our family yearly cabin trip and landed on this place. Although the minimum stay was 5 nights, Stephanie was awesome and allowed us to do 3 nights. The place was really clean and cozy. Morning views of the lake was the best. We enjoyed fishing off the dock and around the corner by the dam and boat launch area. We caught over 30+ large mouth bass with a few weighing over 2+ lbs, rock bass, small mouth and crappies. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely return next year. The best part about this trip was in was only an hour away from the cities.

Fabulous property

Tee had a fabulous time! Great location, close to the boat launch and park which has a great little fishing spot, also just a short drive into town. The lake was beautiful! Cabin is very nice and had everything we needed. Steph was a great host—super responsive and helpful. We will definitely stay here again.

Great Family Time

Love the property! The deck and top of the boat house were our favorite hang outs! The kitchen was so complete it made preparing meals simple. Wapogasset is a beautiful lake. We hope to be able to Visit again. Stephanie was very easy to work with and responsive to any questions.

Sweet summertime

Absolutely loved our stay here. I hope we can come back next year. Fishing on Wapogasset was great, and the dock was fantastic. Space to turn around the boat in the driveway when on the trailer was a problem, but we came up with a solution. Next year it won’t be a problem.
