The Stars

Clean well equiped property with an amazing view of the night sky. The daytime view is great too. The hiking trails are good too. Ill definitely stay again.

This is a heavenly place! Views are amazing and the pictures don’t do it justice. Barb and Chuck are fantastic hosts, and this place felt like our home away from home. We celebrated my mother’s 76th birthday and it will be a memory we will hold dear to our hearts. We WILL be back soon! Love you Barb and Chuck! Thank you for giving us such an amazing memory. 🙏❤️

We LOVED our stay! Barbara & Charles were great hosts, providing everything you could think of to make our stay comfortable, private and enjoyable. The goodie basket was very thoughtful, and not to mention the incredible views. We will definitely return!

Million dollar view and hosts!

This was our second stay with Barbara and Charles and it was just like coming home! We absolutely love them and their home. The views and seclusion are just the icing on an already amazing cake. The room was, as always, immaculate and very accommodating. The area is a nice drive to all of the places we typically go and very convenient for us. We love it there and are planning to make it an annual visit, if not more! Thank you again!

Amazing view with a quiet and peaceful stay

We stayed here for our 22nd anniversary for a nice and quiet weekend getaway. The property was easy to get to and the hosts were very easy to work with. It had everything we needed and the view was amazing. Hosts also made us feel welcome by recognizing our anniversary and recommended a great restaurant for dinner. We really enjoyed staying here. 5 Stars all around!

Secluded just how we like it.

Absolutely gorgeous view. We felt at home right away. Owners are very welcoming. Everything was so helpful with the information and even had us a basket of goodies waiting on us. We enjoyed the stay very much!

Perfection

Wow! Wonderful hosts, amazing property, cozy, and all the comforts of home! 5 stars and beyond! Our stays was so quiet and peaceful. We started out with a visit to Muddy Pond for some delicious cinnamon rolls and fresh baked sourdough bread. We visited our home for the weekend and assessed what we needed for food. After a trip to the grocery store, we headed back and never left again. We so enjoyed our stay. Chuck and Barbara are excellent hosts. Many thanks to you both for providing such an amazing place to spend a quiet weekend!

Heaven on Earth

I think we've found our little piece of Heaven on Earth. What a beautiful place to stay. The surroundings are peaceful, quiet, and remote enough to feel like you're the only one around, even though you're just a short drive from everything public. First off, we were greeted by the million dollar view, and the next morning we got to watch the sunrise over the mountains. The foliage was gorgeous and vibrant and we couldn't get enough of the crisp, mountain air. Barbara is a wonderful host and gracious to a fault. Their place is so welcoming and feels like home as soon as you walk in. It's very clean and it holds everything you could ever need for your stay. We can't wait to come back and hopefully stay longer next time around. Thank you for providing us with a view of paradise for a few relaxing, comfortable days!

Short and sweet

The trip was a great 2 day get away. The Majestic Mountain top unit is a great place for 1-2 people. The view is spectacular! Quiet and in the middle of nature. Everything was well appointed and clean. The bed was a bit soft for my body but adapted it and slept well. Hiking was almost in the back yard. A challenge for flatlanders. Well worth the drive and money. The best vrbo we've ever stayed in! Thank you Charles and Barbara!

My go to place

It was as beautiful as we remembered. Charles and his wife are great hosts and fun to talk with. When we know we're going to be in TN this is the first place we check out. We schedule our stay and look no further. It'll always be our go to place.

Breathtaking view

I cannot say anything negative about this place. The view was breathtaking and amazing. It was so beautiful during the day and it was even more beautiful with so many stars at night. Me and my husband typically stay at a hotel in Cookeville but we have decided that this place would be our place when we visit the area next time. Also, I have never visited any guest houses where offers little breakfast items and beverages. The owners so generous to have a care basket with snacks and breakfast items for us. We loved everything about this place and we will make sure to visit again. :)

Wow, the beauty

A full moon at night, looking across at a mountain range of gorgeous fall colors, hosts that gave many comfort amenities that was a surprise and was so enjoyable and a screened in porch to listen to the gentle rain by candlelight. It was a total treat. Thanks Chuck and Barbara!

I got my Peaceful Sweet Mountain Retreat and more...

I'm a business owner & refugee from the New Orleans hurricane. I wanted this to be a mountain retreat where I could have internet to work peacefully from here and also have the opportunity to go hiking and enjoy the area as well. Host Barbara kindly showed me directly into my new home & it was certainly stocked with everything I needed! This host is SO thoughtful, all I needed was the few clothes I brought and the food I had picked up for the well stocked kitchen. (I enjoy cooking) The bath was well stocked as well with everything a lady needs to feel at home, and a treat to find a big bathtub/ shower. The screened porch is lovely, the view, heaven. They've given great sketches and info for the nearby trails & parks & things to do but frankly staying here was a gift for me. The roads to Nashville & Cookeville were easy & gorgeous what a lovely drive! These hosts are excellent if you need them & quiet if you don't. I know I will love to visit them again. Jaime
