Our apartment is situated in the heart of the city, on Váci Utca, within the Historic City Centre, renowned for its prime pedestrian zone, just 100 meters from the majestic River Danube. This vibrant area is celebrated for its stunning historical architecture, delightful dining establishments, and trendy cafés.

The location is exceptionally central, allowing easy access to various attractions within a short walking distance. Despite its prime position, the apartment is nestled on a quiet side street with limited vehicular traffic. Being on an upper floor, it benefits from soundproof windows and shutters, ensuring a peaceful atmosphere free from noise disturbances.

For those interested in sightseeing, many popular landmarks are within a 2 to 10-minute walk. What would have been a perfect stay was marred by the fact that we had a jewelry box stolen out of the apartment. We left the box on top of a dresser in the living room and returned in the evening to find it gone. Owner says only he and the housekeeper have a key. Since there was no sign of break in, unfortunately this means someone with a key came into the unit when we were out.The unit was ideally located, excellent amenities, clean, elevator, etc. But I have the responsibility to let prospective renters know of the loss of our valuables.After the theft, I had to put a chair at the door and worry about an intruder for the rest of my stay. When we went out for the day I used a luggage storage company to store our laptops and other valuables.

A little gem in a bustling city centre.

Lovely , comfortable nicely decorated flat with the bonus of a balcony for morning coffee/ breakfast or glass of wine whilst you watch the world go by. Plenty of crockery, glasses etc. Tom the owner was very helpful with his recommendations and advice. The previous occupiers had noticed a leak in the aircon system and Tom got it sorted immediately so as not to inconvenience us. The only downside was the 3 flights of stairs everyday but we were prepared for that. Fantastically located for the sights of this beautiful city and a treat to relax on the balcony.

A "Superior" Stay!

We were lucky enough to visit Budapest for 2 weeks. What a beautiful city! What made the stay even more enjoyable was the amazing “Superior” apartment (Tomas has several apartments to choose from). What a wonderful place, beautifully decorated, right in the heart of town, convenient to all public transportation with a multitude of restaurants within steps of the apartment. The apartment was highlighted in one of Budapest’s top Interior Decorating magazines. It is spotless with a fully stocked kitchen and all the modern conveniences of home. The apartment was recently renovated and has all modern appliances, including rain showers in the bathrooms. The location can’t get any better as it is a few feet from the famous Vaci Utca walking/shopping street. Even though it is one of the busiest areas of town, the apartment was very quiet and private. The apartment is on the 3rd floor with no lift, which wasn’t a problem for us but if you have physical limitations, you may want to take this into consideration. The Deak metro station, where all 3 metro lines connect is just 2 blocks away which made it convenient to get everywhere. Tomas was very responsive to work with when arranging the stay. He arranged for transportation to/from the airport, met us at the apartment and made several suggestions on places to visit, eat and see. Since it was our first time to Budapest, he provided maps and highlighted places of interest. He also provided a cell phone so we could receive incoming calls. I highly recommend staying at the “Superior” apartment; you won’t be disappointed at all!

Gorgeous, excellent location, would stay again!

The apartment is gorgeous and very comfortable. Tomas was very helpful with our stay. Walking distance to tourists sights or an easy ride on local transportation. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this apartment...The owner is very personable and helpful about things to do in the area, places to eat and so on.....Loved Budapest...will recommend this apartment to friends! Lovely Pest apartment

Loved my stay in Budapest, and this apartment helped make it special. It's a very convienent location and Tomas was very helpful in making sure I had everything I needed. I was grateful for the transfer to the airport, and found everything in the apartment as shown on the web site. It was a lovely spot and I highly reccomend it for anyone traveling to Budapest. Good value.

Great location, great service

My wife and I decided last minute to visit Budapest. Of the several requests I sent out for information, Tomas was the first to respond. He provided excellent and honest information, and was very helpful! He arranged for us to be picked up at the airport (extra fee) and brought to the apartment. The location is fabulous! It's not the apartment advertised above, but a smaller one located at the corner of Szechenyi Rakpart and Margit hid. It's an old building, but quite charming. The room is basic, but completely met our needs. It was very clean, we always had hot water, Internet, small kitchen, comfortable bed, TV with channels in English. The aprtment is two steps from two tram stations, from the beautiful Margit park, from a multitude of cafes and restaurants, and from a small grocery store. A 10 minute tram ride took us to great restaurants on Andressy Street, Veci Street, the Market, King's palace, and a bunch of other great places. Just ask Tomas - he'll tell you exactly where to go!

Dream-like holiday in Budapest

My experience in Golden Stars Budapest Apartments was nothing less than wonderful. For the past several years, I have been spending a few weeks during the fall in Budapest and this stay was one of the best. The accommodations were great. For a single traveler, and even a couple, this is the perfect place. Reasonable rate, spectacular location, and the most hospitable host (Tomas). Fantastic local cafes and restaurants from the doorstep. Convenient Metro stops very near the apartment. Highly recommend these holiday apartments!

we stayed at the Dream ap. on Vaci ut. Great location, very helpful owner, nothing was too difficult for him. Clean and comfortable and very easy access to all atractions. Would be happy to stay here again.

True to Description

I stayed at the Golden Stars Deluxe over the week of Thanksgiving 2011 (Nov. 19 throught 28). Tomas was true to the terms we neogiated for my stay. Pick-up from the airport was a much appreciated offering. The Deluxe is well suited for people who like to be out of tourist hot sports while still having access to everything. The 2 main tourist tram lines have stops steps from the door. The place is simple, but clean, as good as any hotel you my stay at. There's a nice neighborhood bar on the street as well as a hip wine bar, best of both worlds. I recommend this place for any single or double traveling team.

budapest vacation

we recently stayed at the budapest studio apartment located in the center of town. great location. apartment had new kitchen and bathroom and even a washing machine!. Tomas was great. he arranged for airport pickup for us and even took personal care when my baggage was lost by the airline for 24 hours. an international phone for calling the usa and canada was also provided (nice touch).

Great Spot!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this location. Tomas arranged for pickup and return to the train station with his driver. This was great because we found most subways didn't have escalators and we had several bags. Tomas also gives you a cell phone to use which makes communication with him very easy. There are food stores, banks, and restaurants within a block of the apartment. You can easily walk to all the major sites. The apartment is clean, well equipped, and in a safe area. We would certainly recommend this location to anyone.

Great Location, Great Apartment, Great Hose

I can't express enough what a great apartment this was to stay in. Not to mention what a great host Tomas was. Communication with him in the months before the trip was great, and when we arrived he was at the apartment waiting for us so he could give us a tour of the amenities (which are great), give us tips on restaurants, and to help us get oriented around the city. The location was fantastic, close to everything, and we'll definitely be staying here again when we come back.

When setting up our reservation I called Tomas with a couple of questions. His first comment was “You need to understand that the price I quoted is all-inclusive. There are no ups, no extras”. We stayed at the apartment for a week and enjoyed every minute of it. The listing and photos were accurate and it was clean. Everything worked, especially the air conditioning and the elevator! Our only regret was that we did not rent it for a longer time. Our airport pick-up was flawless, and Tomas gave us not only a tour of the apartment on our arrival, but provided good advice on things to see and do in Budapest. There are several great restaurants and sidewalk cafés within easy walking distance, and you are truly in the heart of Budapest. The little grocery store across the street meets all of your incidental needs from snacks to a bottle of wine. The Central Café is one block away and provides good coffee, breakfasts, and pastries. Clean, quiet, safe and scenic sets the tone for the neighborhood. It was really nice to come back in the afternoon or at night and have someplace to relax and unwind. You would think we were on vacation!!! When it was time to leave Tomas had arranged a ride to the airport…on time and with a great driver. We enjoyed the Golden Stars and will definitely return. Thanks Tomas!

Location Location - Perfect!

We stayed in this well-kept apartment for 4 nights in May, 2011. It was the perfect, central location for us. We didn't need to use a tram or bus at any time. We walked to everything - to Andrassy Avenue (elite designer shops), the Indoor Market (an experience in itself), Vaci Utca - outdoor market and even walked across the bridges to the top of the Castle District on the Buda side. The views are spectacular! Make sure you have their currency to get into the museums. They do not take euros. We enjoyed eating at The For Sale Pub, across from the Indoor Market. You must try their goulash soup. Meal portions are huge. We enjoyed walking along the Danube River, watching the tourist and river cruise boats go by. Tomas was helpful and fantastic to deal with. He always was there, when needed, to answer questions, sights to see, places to eat, etc. The apartment is lovely and spacious - beautiful high ceilings. We loved having the washing machine, computer and especially the use of the phone for long distance calls (free). We kept in touch with elderly parents and our children back in Canada. We would definitely recommend this apartment. It is much more reasonable and larger than a hotel room. It is so close to everything. There's a convenience store just around the corner and many pubs and cafes nearby. We will definitely come back here. Koszonom Tomas for a wonderful stay and experience in Budapest. Linda and Matt

Great Apartment, home away from home!

My wife and I just got back from a 4 day trip to Budapest. The apartment was wonderful and had everything you would want on a stay away from home. Phone, TV, Internet, Kitchen, Washer, the apartment has everything and is very spacious for 2 people or a family. Tomas was wonderful and even arranged for parking of my car while we were in town at a modest price. The apartment is within walking distance to most any attraction in town. Why pay for a hotel when you can have the comfort and privacy of your own apartment for less?

Golden Stars Budapest ROYAL Apartment

The apartment was exactly as described. To this day the family still talk about how fantastic everything was and how they can't wait to return to Budapest. Tomas was a wonderful host and incredibly helpful in all aspects. We would have no hesitation in recommended Tomas apartments to any of our family and friends. The location was excellent. Walk to all the major sights; Vaci utca is just around the corner, not to mention all the restaurants and cafes are within easy reach. We enjoyed so much staying in Golden Stars Apartment - the location is very convenient and so close to many attractions. Thank you for telling us about Szentendre - we spent a full day there and enjoyed the town a lot!
