I contacted the host via VRBO asking some questions about the stay coming up and the weather and I never received a response. The next message that showed up was letting me know the final payment was due. Prior to arriving, we stopped to purchase groceries for our stay. We were not notified that the refrigerator in the unit was not working until we were already on our way. Had we been informed ahead of time, we would have adjusted our plans accordingly and avoided unnecessary expense and inconvenience.During our stay, we were told that a mini refrigerator would be delivered as a temporary solution. Unfortunately, this never happened. As a result, we were left without proper food storage for the duration of our stay.In addition to these issues, communication throughout the process was extremely poor. I never received a response to my initial question regarding snow conditions and the forecast prior to arrival. Follow-up communication during the stay was also inconsistent and unhelpful, leaving us without clear answers or resolution.Between the lack of advance notice about the refrigerator, the failure to provide the promised replacement, and the poor communication overall, this stay did not meet reasonable expectations.
